Country Fair 2008 (May 16-17)
Marietta native Travis Tritt welcomes a few friends (Miranda Lambert, Clay Walker, for two) who know honky tonk almost as well as he does. ($15-50) -
Barbara Walters (May 19)
The pioneering journalist sits on the other end of "If you were a tree, what kind would you be?" and other hard-hitting questions. -
Harry Plotter and the Half-Wit Princess (through July 30)
J.K. Rowling and the late Walt Disney might even find this Dizzy World-centered whodunit pretty funny. ($57.50-62.50) -
Katt Williams (May 17)
If you were one part Richard Pryor, another part 70s era pimp and yet another part Mighty Mouse, you'd probably be a riot, too. ($55-100) -
Oakland As at Atlanta Braves (May 16-18)
The Athletics never ever play here. After the red-hot Chipper Jones gets finished with'em, they may never come back. ($1-74) -
Lost Kingdoms of the Nile (Michael C Carlos Museum, thru August 31)
To the visitor go the spoils of Nubia, a nearly-forgotten African culture runneth over in gold, ceramics and historical relevance. ($7) -
Expecting Isabel (7 Stages, April 18-May 18)
Having a child is serious. Watching Miranda and Nick work their way through playwright Lisa Loomer's take on modern pregnancy is seriously funny. ($10-20) -
Jazz Night at the High
Get a different take on the High Museum every third Friday, as live jazz and cocktails accompany your stroll. -
Atlanta Jazz Festival
All that jazz throughout the month of May, plus free performances in Woodruff Park over Memorial Day weekend. -
The Eagles (Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, May 14, 16-17, 20)

Community Day at Fernbank Musuem (May 13)
