Mexican Food, Kind of?
by MMelner
Having moved to atlanta from out west I am continually surprised by the "mexican" food I come across out here. Taco mac has a great beer selection and a friendly staff, but their 9 dollar steak burritto is more of an enchilada mixed with a burrito, mixed with a fajita. The meal was quite small, and came with chips and rice. Definately go check out the amazing beer selection and great wings, you just may want to say away from the tex mex.
- Pros: Available seeting, great beer selection
- Cons: High priced food that does not quite deliver
i love my wings swimming

Taco Mac use to be my favorite for wings when I lived in the burbs. You can no longer find it in the burbs but it's still going strong in the city where it had originated. I love the wings TMI (three-mile-island) and swimming (served in a pool of sauce). When they're served take one wiff and you'll feel drugged. I like things hot but death is a little too hot for me, TMI will fly you to the moon just fine. It's top notch bar food & ofcourse they have a million beers on tap.
Suburban hangout with prime people-watching, and beer galore.

The Scene
Since the opening of its Virginia Highlands flagship store, Taco Mac has grown to 18 Atlanta locations. The casual meeting spot keeps its customers coming back with its huge beer selection (from 25 to 108 draught beers depending on location), unpretentious food and no dress code. The laid-back attitude attracts young families with children and after-work minglers. Simply decorated with neon beer signs, beer coolers and TVs showing sports, the Mac caters to those who don't want to grow up.
The Draw
You can't find a bigger beer selection in the suburbs, and non-stop wings make new customers regulars. The wings are customized, available in four different spice levels: mild to Three Mile Island. An updated menu offers a fresh change with grilled salmon salad and shrimp fajitas, but keeps the popular Tex-Mex favorites and huge sandwiches. Taco Mac's outdoor deck gets the crowds from early spring to late fall.
