Another sparkling bar from the Gerber group, this Buckhead beauty is one part rock 'n' roll and one part "it" Hollywood.

Velvet Rope Club stinks
by kamiie
This is very reminiscient of clubs in LA...If you want the velevet rope experience, meaning only getting in if you slip the bouncer money or put on airs, than this is the place for you. If you want a more relaxed atmosphere to just have fun, this is not for you. I won't be going back...
- Pros: pretty
- Cons: good luck getting in

Disgusting Display of the What is Wrong with Atlanta
by nyanya
The first time I went to Whiskey Blue, I was given a lecture at the door that I needed to make reservations in the future but they would let me up "this time". It was such a contrived attempt to create a sense of exclusivity and class around a place that lacks neither.
When I arrived upstairs I was only impressed by the decor. The crowd was horrific. I couldn't believe I received a lecture only to arrive amongst a bunch of people who must have got the room on an online deal from the backwoods of Georgia. If it wasn't generic people in Juicy sweatsuits and heels it was prostitutes lurking around for customers.
The next time I went not only was the crowd terrible, I got the same lecture at the door and was removed from the table I was sitting at so that they could give our table to a local rapper. I have been in situations where you need to be relocated but how the whole ordeal was handled was utterly inane, condescending. The management was rude and classless in handling my complaint and I will never again go to a glorified hotel chain bar filled with prostitutes again in my life.
- Pros: Beautiful Views
- Cons: Disgusting Staff, Rude Managers, Clueless Customer Service
Drop the prices and they will come

$20 to park? $15 for a drink? Whiskey Park and Whiskey Blue better rethink their Atlanta business plan because we are to smart to be taken advantage of!
A Buckhead Lounge At The Next Level!
by jaymaygm
Finally the new Buckhead social scene is emerging. Not the old Buckhead Village days. Rande Gerber knows how to make a very hip/swank establishment, within the hot W Hotel Buckhead. We love the outside elevator going up. And the views are just great. Expensive? Yes! Trashy patrons? No! We like the presentation, the crowd, and the ultra cool staff. Buckhead is only getting better, and coming back with a sophisticated vengenge. Try Market downstairs for dinner, before or after coming up to Whiskey Blue.
- Pros: Sophisticated Lounge/Bar For The Beautiful Buckhead Crowd!
- Cons: Expensive, But Makes For An Upscale Crowd!

In Short
The usual uppity velvet ropes greet chic-scenesters at this W-residing Buckhead bar, but after you take oversized glass elevator to the top floor, things turn LA-cool in a hurry. Giving a nod to the LA's famed Standard hotel, the narrow space is cased in warm wooden tones and low lighting while pictures of famous rock 'n' rollers adorn the walls. An abundance of plush corner couches and 1960's-style modern chairs give both single swingers and groups alike a chance to mingle in cozy confines. Like its sister bar Whiskey Park, specialty drinks get the $20 treatment, but standard cocktails, wine and beer are reasonably priced. The heated outdoor patio has soaring views of Buckhead and is a hip outdoor spot for any season.
