Fantastic Downtown Dining
by Downtown Diner at Citysearch
This is a wonderful gem tucked away on West Peachtree Place. Tried several times and never have been disappointed. All the small plates are amazing my favorites are the beet salad, meatballs and daily specials. Owner, "Ray" always makes a point to stop by and say hello and tell me about the daily specials. Wait staff are very knowledgable and friendly. If you are tired of the hotel resaurants and are looking for a local spot, Social is not to be missed.
- Pros: great small plates, amazing wine list, great service &staff
- Cons: none
Atlanta's Best Food
by Natasha06 at Citysearch
This restaurant was one of the best me and wife have ever ate. We have been to New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and the Social Restaurant was the best. The grilled calamari and rosted potatoes were to die for. I will eat there every time i am in Atlanta. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks for the best dinner in a long time.
- Pros: Some of the best food and service in america
- Cons: Dont live closer
Great food, great atmosphere

If you want to have a nice meal with your friends or co-workers downtown, check out this charming bistro that offers French and North African comfort foods, including some great tajines and lamb dishes. Their sandwiches and lunch specials are really good, and it is just such a friendly place - not at all like a chain or big hotel restaurant. It is located right off Peachtree near Ivan Allen Plaza and FAB.
- Pros: Great specials for lunch and dinner
My hidden gem
by BKFoodie at Citysearch
Social is hidden in downtown Atlanta with great food, ambiance and staff. The food is great...a must have are the eggplant caviar, the couscous (a special) and the grilled calamari...where else can you find grilled calamari? My compliments to Chef Khaled Chebbi! Also, if you like red wine, you should try the South African cab-merlot blend, Bouwland. I will be back for the grilled calamari :-)
- Pros: Tasty appetizers and wine list
- Cons: none

Favorite Atlanta Restaurant

I've been to Social many times for lunch and dinner and the food -- an interesting mix of french and north african -- has always been either good or great.
Try the steak frites when they have it. Also, last time we went there for lunch my wife got the Pain Bagnat sandwich and it was really great.
The staff knows a lot about the menu and the wine list. The atmosphere is nice but in an approachable way. It feels like the kind of nice neighborhood restaurant you usually find in Midtown -- like Pura Vida or Fritti. Very cool to have a spot like this downtown.
- Pros: Reliably good food, consistently good service, nice decor
- Cons: Closed on Sundays
Downtown's Real Hidden Jewel!

When I finish working Downtown at The Apparel Mart, I have a million choices for big city spots, to unwind. But I go thousands of miles away, just two blocks away, off Peachtree. Social is small, intimate, and you feel like you are on the coast of Spain. Excellent Small Plates, affordable Wine List, and service from a European Staff. The owners are too nice, and you feel as if you have been invited into their home. Love the Kafta Burger!
- Pros: Hard To Find! A Real Tapas Bar!
- Cons: Parking is A Hassel, Take Marta!
Friendly neighborhood place with great food and ambience!

I just love this place!! The food is very, very good - everything is fresh and homemade. Try the daily soups and specials - if they have the house cured salmon, it is a MUST TRY! The sandwiches at lunch are delicious and the cornish hen, vegetable lasagna, and duck leg are excellent at dinner. There are a number of sharing plates and charcuterie to choose from as well. I can't say enough about the owners and staff - brothers Ray and Jay are the owners, and Enrique, Eddie, Douglas, Ashley, and Andrew are the nicest, most professional staff I have come across in a long time. The place reminds me of a European bar/bistro - it has a world vibe (several of the staff are from various countries and if you speak French or Spanish, you will feel at home here) but is a comfortable neighborhood place to hang out. At night, the atmosphere is fun and and at times there is live world music by Enrique. Check it out!!
- Pros: Great food, atmosphere, friendly staff, good music
- Cons: A few parking spaces on street, paid parking next door

In Short
Sitting on a quiet side street between West Peachtree and Spring, this sleek, modern take on international dining boasts a worldly staff and sharable bites. The tapas menu serves up a Mediterranean mix with a few standouts--the Kefta burger, with NorthAfrican spiced beef, and the pain bagnat with tuna, veggies, and red pepper--both shine. White-washed exposed brick walls, polished marble bar and tall tables with cushy stools set a chic modern tone while the upstairs offers an imaginatively painted wall and street views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. World music provides an entrancing backbeat and the global vibe builds after dark for cocktails and conversation.
