Dishing the “Dirt” on Dynamic Dish
by KeithKNOWS at Citysearch
Local, Organic Food for Your Heart! I’ve heard so many wonderful things about this organic delicatessen, so you know I had to find out what’s the scoop. Being the health conscious person I am, all the reviews were impressive, especially knowing that the deli offers local, organic, healthy foods. Be warned…the neighborhood(near Sweet Auburn & the Old 4th Ward) is being redeveloped, so you might encounter panhandlers, so bring some extra change with you. After reading a review in AccessAtlanta, I was really excited to try the Butternut Squash Soup with fresh ginger & the Lentil Walnut Pate’, unfortunately for me, they sold out. The menu is limited, offering soups, salads, sandwiches, pasta dishes, it changes daily, I decided to try the Veggie Quiche made with Quark(a soft, white, unaged cheese of central Europe) and a side salad(Mesclun, with walnuts, julienne yellow beets and a light vinaigrette-like dressing), to drink, I settled for the Pomegrante Green Tea…. the food is both elegant and flavorful..a colorful and visually pleasing presentation(thank goodness, the food’s not salty). Dynamic Dish also has retro kitchenwares/collectibles and grocery items for sale. . Do something Dynamic for your Life, Dine at Dynamic Dish.
- Pros: Fresh ingredients, diverse menu

Vegetable alchemy!

One of the fun things about Dynamic Dish is that you never know what you'll find on the handwritten menu that day. You can always count on it being super-fresh and seasonal, usually made with local ingredients.
They generally have one or two soups, one or two salads, a sandwich, and one or more entrees. Saturday is pizza night, when you can take your pick of imaginative thin crust pies. Don't be put off by the small menu, even if you're a picky eater. Just go with it, and you might be surprised. I lived my whole life hating beets, until I had them done the right way at Dynamic Dish (delicately shredded with apples in a sweet & crunchy salad).
It's evident how much care they put into the food here - so much so that vegetarians, vegans, and meat eaters all come away satisfied. Don't think of it as vegetarian food (and in fact they do occasionally serve meat or fish), just think of it as GOOD food.
- Pros: Unbeatable quality, a delicious surprise every time
- Cons: Can be a little pricey
This Old 4th Ward vegetarian destination specializes in a rotating menu that unloads local, fresh produce for lunch.

In Short
Precisely what you'd expect from a Vegan-sensitive restaurant in the up-and-coming Old Fourth Ward, this cute, hippy-dippy vegetarian hole draws in both curious new neighbors and genre-specific health nuts. The simple dining digs feature clean lines and an accommodating staff that has an obvious passion for good-for-you foods. Scrawled above the counter, the pointed and typically rotating menu boasts addictive enough eats to lure even meat-mongers away from their normal carnivore diets. Coconut squash soup is a belly-filling bisque that pops with hints of ginger, while gourmet pizzas on crunchy flatbreads are topped inventively with the likes of fava beans and arugula. Most dishes are priced around $10, and with the B.Y.O.B rule in place, it's easy to keep the price down.
Excellent light lunch

My husband and I saw this restaurant advertised in a local Atlanta Magazine. We decided to check it out for lunch on a weekend. The restaurant is small and clean, very quaint and relaxing. The menu for lunch listed a soup, salad and two sandwiches. We had the tofu wrap and beet sandwhich with cold green tea. Everything we had tasted amazing. Fresh ingredients and great flavors. My husband is not usually up for vegetarian, especially a tofu wrap with basil walnut pesto and carrots, but he loved it. He can't wait to go back. As long as you are opened minded to new tastes and ingredients this is the place for you.
- Pros: Fresh ingredients, great flavor, quiet atmosphere
- Cons: Parking
