I hired a moving company named "For the Move" who turned out to be brokers that hired out "Beach Boys Moving" to assist me on my move from NC to TN. I having moved many times before, have to say that Beach Boys Moving company was the absolute worst moving company I have ever used. They are unprofessional (arriving in a old u-haul truck with a paper sign taped to the door) and rude. The mover was several hours late (4 hours each time) and did not prepare himself in advance with directions or have assistance (he had to go insearch of help?). The driver even argued with me about directions and continued to get lost , due to the fact that he was trying to get directions while driving! The mover complained throughout the entire packing and unpacking process and even made comments about an extra charge for having to carry so many items up and down the stairs. He even had the audacity to ask for a tip! Many items were thrown about and not handled with care. Many items were damaged and I am still waiting, 2 months later, for actions to be taken to compensate for the damages. The company keeps denying that any items could be damaged instead of apologizing for the horrible service. I have contacted the company several times and have not received any assistance with this matter. I have been told that For the Move have dropped Beach Boys Moving from their list of movers, however they cannot assit me in pursuing my complaint. I would never use this company again. They were horrible in every way possible. Be very wary of using a broker because you may end up with the same experience.
