I found Allegro from a sign posted on Monroe. We went in for brunch and were surprised to find such an upscale Italian restaurant. The view of Kudzu is outstanding.
Pros: Great Food
Cons: Parking

We took a small group to Allegro asking hearing about it from a friend who lives in the lofts upstairs. I have been a few times for appetizers at the bar and I have never had anything I didn't love. This time we had a nice martini at the bar and were promptly seated. We all shared the antipasto and despite the professional reviews, we enjoyed it. Again all the appetizers are great. Beet salad with goat cheese was amazing. Main entrees offer you half portions which I appreciated. Try the seafood risotto it was outstanding. As was the filet. Services is good, atmophere is romantic, parking is easy with valet service.
Pros: Taste, atmosphere, drinks
Cons: higher priced Italian food

This was my third time dining at Allegro. My friend and my Aunt were pleased with their first visit to Allegro on Saturday night. I had the crab meat cannelloni. My friend had the wild boar pasta. My aunt had the veal with potatoes and mushrooms. Seeing as how I am from New Orleans I know a thing or two about good food, the same goes for my Aunt. Allegro serves the best Itallian I have had in a long time. Their dishes allowed the flavors of every ingredient to come out, unlike the itallian restaurants where everything tastes like heavy cheese and sauce. I reccomend the wild boar pasta highly. It has been my favorite dish there so far. If you are looking for a before dinner drink the Itallian Lemonaid martini was dangerously fabulous. The poppy seed cake with cream and pineapple chunks was a fabulous dessert!

After having dinner at Allegro, I can surely say they make the best seafood dishes in toen! The risotto was out of this world, but the best part was the Whole Seabream. Do not forget to ask to try the Biscotti they offer you if you get coffee or capuccino. Great restaurant.

Allegro is a great Italian restaurant, but the room is so crowded and the tables for two are so small. They stick you against this wall in the back and you get a view of kudzu. The larger tables are much nicer.

What a nice surprise last night! My boyfriend took me at Allegro, and we had an incredible experience. Wine list is really interesting with only Italian products. My favorite dish was the pasta with chopped mussels, but even the Tiramisu was outstanding. Great atmosphere for a romantic dinner. I'll be back soon.

Everything was good! I had probably the most incredible Italian Cab Sauvignon from Sardinia of my life! I was told the food supposed to be great, and surely it was. The girl attended my table was really attentive, the wine reccomandation was really appreciated
Pros: Risotto Squash, Red Wines
Cons: Signs

I was really suprise to try out this new Italian Restaurant. They serve very original dishes, excellent Italian food. My favorite was the braised short ribs, but every course was very well executed. Their risottos are really a suprise, expecially the seafood one.

I have a group of 10 friends who meets up every month to try a different Atlanta restaurant. Allegra is by far the best place we've been to in over a year of doing this. The food was delicious--everyone cleaned their plates! I had the Tagliatelle pasta with mushrooms and asparagus--highly recommend! We ordered 4 different desserts and really enjoyed them all--though the ice cream with praline center was our favorite. The managers stopped by several times to check on us (though they were never intrusive) and our waiter was excellent. As for meeting in such a large group, the restaurant was never too loud so we were able to hear each other and there was no problem getting separate checks. I highly recommend and will be heading back soon.
Pros: Ambience, easy parking, service, delicious food
Cons: a little pricey, but worth it
