Salon Martin Spradlin

Beware ladies, Martin's work is on the decline. My friends and I have been going to Martin for a long time. In that time I have seen Martin become successful and regretfully arrogant. This was tolerable only because his work outweighed his arrogance. This is no longer the case! We have noticed that since Martin's clientele has increased dramatically so has his insatiable urge to talk trash and gossip behind the backs of the very people that put him on map, not to mention my last two cuts have been so average that I thought I went to the wrong salon.

I Can't Imagine Anyone Else

I've had the pleasure of knowing Marti since before I even had hair to cut. Obviously, I wasn't really aware of the greatness of the person I had been privileged with knowing, and I probably won't fully understand until the day comes when I am forced to go elsewhere. (And that's not coming any time soon).

Having hair that I've always found to be nearly intolerable to deal with, Marti has always been there to guide me in how best to deal with a mass of frizzy, curly hair that on my own would probably be completely impossible to tame. I can always trust him to help me solve any of my hair troubles, even if it's as simple as a trim.

But from the simple to the extraordinary, Martin is dependably open to even the strangest ideas someone as young as a teenager can come up with, such as primary red streaks for a rare summer craze. He's a whiz with colouring and knows exactly how to match something as insane as red streaks to fairly average dark brown hair, as well as give a quick touch-up on greying hair (my mother has been receiving hair cuts from him since before I was even born, but heaven forbid Martin allow that to show through her hair!).

There's no better place in Atlanta for the most up-to-date trends for weddings, prom, galas, or just a day out at work. Martin Spradlin is simply the best.

Very best hairstylist in Atlanta

I've been going to Martin for a bit over a year and love my hair! When I first moved to Atlanta, I went to another, nearby Buckhead salon that got good reviews, but was annoyed that the owner always worked on about 3 people at once (very thoughtless about his client's time) and I was also disappointed in the over-blonded look he gave me. Even though I asked him to tone it down next time, he went with more highlights, and I ended up with cheap-looking, damaged hair. (Of course, with his huge ego, he insisted it was perfection)

Not so with Martin! He KNOWS color inside and out. He listened to what I wanted, and then gave his professional opinion. He gave me what I wanted, but better! The cut is great and when I walk out of his salon, I feel like I look fabulous. Martin devotes all his time and attention to his clients, and we all love him. Don't waste your time with other salons. Martin is the best.

Best Hairstylist ever!

Martin is the first stylist to actually help me acheive the hairstyle I want. He listened when I talked about wanting to grow my hair long and has given me two great cuts to get me through the growing out phase, and to recover from a BAD haircut I experienced at another salon. I completely trust him, and the drive from Augusta to Atlanta is totally worth it! I never thought my hair would look its best at 40. Thanks Martin!

• Pros: flexible with appointment schedule. I am from out of town and Martin gets me in with short notice.

Martin is the bomb!

I moved to Atlanta 4 years ago and after several average salon experiences, my sister in law convinced me to go to Martin last spring. I must say that I am almost 30, and Martin is by far the best hairstylist that I have ever been to. Instead of timidly cutting my hair with no feedback, Martin takes the initiative and time to make suggestions that really improved my hair. He talked me into highlights which have made a tremendous improvement to my look. I have received more compliments on my hair while going to Martin than I've received in my whole life. In addition to being an expert at what he does, Martin is just friendly and fun to be around, not at all snobby and pretentious like many boutique salons. He's so likable that I've actually ended up tagging along with my sister in law on two separate occasions when she has had her appointment just to hang out! If you are looking for a boring, complacent hairstylist who agrees with everything you say just to have you leave with ugly hair, Martin is not the one for you. However, if you are looking for a highly skilled and honest stylist with a great personality, Martin is it!

Fantastic Experience!

Martin has cut my hair several times and this last time was the best yet! I wanted a new look and I was not disappointed. Martin has so many creative ideas and will tell you exactly what will look good on you and what will work with your hair. He is great about giving you an original cut and showing you several different ways to style it. I'm still getting compliments on my hair nearly a month later. I can honestly say I'll never go anywhere else in Atlanta to get my hair cut!!

I absolutely love Martin! Everytime I leave his salon I feel like I just got the best cut and style I've ever had! I've been to many different stylists, but nobody else compares. I have very fine hair and Martin works miracles with it. He always teaches me how to style my new cut and shows me multiple ways I can do it... day, evening, etc. Not only are his skills amazing, but the cost of a wash, cut and style + lesson is not too expensive. Martin also has a wonderful personality! You will feel so comfortable with him. I would recommend him to the whole world if I could!

Best Salon in Georgia

Martin is great and knows exactly what he is doing. If you are a guy with curly or waivy hair go to Martin. I moved further away from Martin's salon and decided to go to a place closer to home. The Salon I chose ruined my hair. I will drive the extra mile to see Martin. He took a horrible hair cut, worked his magic, and fixed a huge ugly mess. Martin is a consultant and a stylist so listen to what he says.

Martin is Amazing!

I have lived in Atlanta for years and after trying numerous salons, I just was not very happy with my color. I got on Citysearch and read the reviews on Martin and decided to give him a try. It was one of the best decisions I ever made! Martin is amazing!! I absoutely love my color and it gets better with every visit (as Martin promised that it would). He is great at cutting hair, as well! It's so nice to be able to go to him for everything and I actually enjoy going to the salon now! I can't say enough great things about Martin and the service that he provides. I get so many compliments on my hair now. I am actually moving in a few weeks and am so sad to be leaving him. There are so many stylists out there, but ones like Martin are such a rarity. I wish that I could take Martin to NYC with me! I will miss you Martin!!

GREAT EXPERIENCE!

I have been seeing Martin for the better part of 2 years and he just keeps getting better and better! When I first started with him he told me that I should go shorter and lighter. Being that I had worn my hair in the same style for 20 years I was skeptical and told him to trim it. Well, after him begging to cut it every 6 weeks I finally gave in a week ago and let him have at it. Knowing that my husband might divorce me. :) He was right, as usual! I have recieved so many compliments that I hate that I walked around all those years with all that hair. And my husband loves it! I know it is hard to change but believe me, Martin knows what he is doing and YOU SHOULD LISTEN. I am glad that I have him as my talented style guru! Thankyou for everything Martin.

Out with the old and in with the new

Hi all I'm 21 years old and fashion and modeling is my life. Well, this past summer I had a huge event to go to so I went to Martin to glam my hair and make me look like a movie star. I brought a pic out of people magazine and told Martin make me look like this! To make a long story short, my hair ended up looking okay but not like the pic. Then, Martin explained to me why my hair couldn't be just like the picture. Any how I brought that same pic to my new hair guy, and OMG just like the pic no explantaion necessary.
