I I was on city search trying to find a new place to cut my hair. I saw all the reviews for Martin Spradlin and thought i would give it a try. I will admit i was a little nervous when i walked in, but Martin made me feel comfortable. He told me what would look good with my features and told me how to style it at home. I waited a week to write this review because i wanted to see how my hair was at home. I love the feel of it and how it makes me look. I will be returning again. Thank you for a wonderful haircut.

Pros: Intimate Salon, Easy going

Cons: Parking can be tough

I came onto citysearch with the tedious task of trying to find the "perfect" hairstylist, and I have found him. His salon is beautiful, and it made me feel right at home. I love the fact that his sole attention is for you and your hair. I did not have to deal with 10 different people, just Martin! My friend came with me while I got my hair done, and he made it just a fun girl's day out. We had a blast! When I came into his salon, my hair was VERY dark, but Martin made it a beautiful light color with amazing highlights that accentuates my skin tone. He told me what will and what won't look good on me, and I trusted him 100%. Martin definitely knows what he's doing, and he is GREAT at it! All the reviews on here are certainly true, and Martin, I know you're very busy! =) I know you're probably not going to read this anytime soon but once you do, I have to say again-- thanks so much! You are truly a genius, and I hope you never leave the Atlanta area. Love you darling!!!

Pros: Ending hair results, fun atmosphere, plenty parking, personal service

Cons: Martin won't come home with me to do my hair everyday!

Martin has been cutting and coloring my hair off and on for the last 16 years. I drive from the Douglasville area EVERY six weeks to see him because there just isn't anybody better anywhere! Trust me, I have tried and i have ALWAYS ended up back with Martin. This time back, I am definitely there to stay. His salon is very beautiful and relaxing. He will cater to your every need. We have such a blast together when I am there. It is always a fun experience!

Pros: Excellent service & care

Cons: Martin could use a bit more personaltiy! (JUST KIDDING!)

I see Martin for cut, color, eyebrows, and the company. Martin not only does great hair, but he truly knows how to make a woman feel beautiful. He is the most honest hairstylist I have ever worked with and I trust him with my hair completely. If Martin thought I should cut my long hair off and wear a boy cut b/c it would look good with my bone structure - I'd think about it for 2 seconds - then I would do it. After my first visit with Martin, my attitude toward my hair changed; I hardly ever throw my hair up into a ponytail anymore, I LOVE my hair, the color, the layers, the way it falls around my face. He knows hair and he knows what will look good for each person's unique face, body, and style. I have dark brown hair and have always felt like there is not much that can be done with it from a color standpoint, but I was wrong and thanks to Martin, I LOVE MY HAIR!

I have known Marty for 20 years. He did my hair when I first moved to Atlanta and still does it today. He has done my two daughters' hair since they were old enough to sit still. He is one of the most creative stylist I have seen. Each one of us has different hair and personalities. Marty works with us to maintain a unique style and we are frequently complemented on his work. I sincerely recommend him!

I have been a customer of Martin's for well over 10 years & could very possibly be his most long distance customer. I live on the Island of St. Croix in the Virgin Islands and travel to Atlanta frequently, some trips which are scheduled specifically to see Martin. Martin is extremely talented and has got to be the tops in his profession. I have very long hair, almost waist length (and Martin only asks to cut it maybe every other visit, a small joke between the 2 of us). He does an excellent job on highlighting and lowlighting and my hair is a bit of a challenge since we're trying to "disguise" those grey hairs that continue to creep in around my face! What a beautiful job he always does with the color. It never fails, the day I see Martin I get at least 3 compliments on my hair before the day is over. He's the only stylist my husband trusts to keep the color perfect and of course the length! Martin is extremely personable and adds that personal touch to every thing he offers in his salon! He is truly a gem! JPayne

One time in 20 years I let someone other than Martin cut my hair and it was disaster. I think he was out of town and I was desperate. I don't recall how, but he had to fix it when he returned and I don't believe he even scolded me, probably thinking that the lesson had been learned and I wouldn't stray again. In our early days Martin had creative carte blanche and did some very fine work - people would stop me on the street and ask who does my hair. Presently I have rather long hair, which Martin detests and hopes I'll get over eventually. He trims it meanwhile, lovingly and patiently. An exceptional stylist, but also just a marvelous human being -

Martin brings perfectionism to his work, a personal touch to making his clients happy in an incredibly low-key boutique salon setting. Outstanding colorist adapting to his clients overall coloring; and a great sense of what cut/style suits his clients face. The peripheral services are another area where Martin shines - style for an event/wedding, make up and brow waxing. You walk out of Martin's studio feeling great and looking great. Because he is so good at what he does, you are able to look that way for the subsequent weeks until you visit again. That is an indication of a great stylist.

usually i dread going to a hair salon because i've never been one to put much effort or thought into my hairstyle, which, for some reason, seems to offend the hairstylists i've been to. in order to avoid any hair salons with snobbish attitudes i came to citysearch and found martin. he made me feel at ease about my hair and was not judgemental about my lack of hairstyling finesse. also, i have baby fine hair and he was able to make it look full of body and sass. martin's salon was kind of like an upscale salon version of Cheers--martin knew everyone's name and was very warm and inviting in conversation. although the salon is a little small and required some musical chair-playing at times, i thoroughly enjoyed my time there and absolutely love my haircut!

I live in Douglasville and have been going to Martin for thirteen years. I always look forward to my appointments, because not only does he do a great job, Martin is very personable and we have a great time. I have tried different salons in Douglasville, but I always keep going back to Martin because I love the way he cuts and colors my hair. I would highly recommen Martin. I LOVE YOU MARTIN!!!
