Really neat place for sandwiches across the train tracks in Decatur. Try the turkey reuben, which includes a typical 5th Earl Market twist: including capers in the sauce. The "Moat" is also a renowned favorite of many locals by now. The service is pleasant, but the tables are a bit uncomfortable.
Pros: Well-designed gourmet sandwiches, good service
Cons: Uncomfortable seating

This restaurant is awesome! We love the service and the people are so friendly. They always remember us and what we like to order. The food is great from the salads to the sandwiches to the cupcakes! It has a great laid-back environment and we highly recommend it.
Pros: Great food and variety even fluffer-nutters for the kids!
Cons: a little expensive

I finally got to try the 5th Earl Market, and I have to say they served me the best sandwich I have had in Atlanta in the 4+ years that I have lived here. I had the Windsor with roasted zucchini and yellow squash, cheese, caramelized onions, and a spread on soft multi-grain bread. It was exceptional and all of the other menu choices were tantalizing as well. They serve hot and cold sandwiches, soups, salads, and some sides. There is a small bar in the back with an interesting wine selection and microbrews available. The space is very nice, well priced, and a welcome addition to the Atlanta/Decatur food scene. I have had a hard time finding a good sandwich place in town, but this one is a winner.
Pros: great food, good prices
Cons: a little off the beaten path, but worth finding

Want to cure the Monday evening blahs? Head over to this new Decatur hangout, for one of their four-course dinners on Monday's. It's only limited to 45 patrons. Dinner includes oysters, crab cakes, scallops, oxtails and smoked pair tatin. Each course is paired with a selection from the Flying Dod Brewery. Owners David Bressler and Brian Falcon are the perfect hosts. Need to make reservations for this one. It's 55.00 a head, and worth every penny. Make some new fun friends here easily.
Pros: Cool Monday Night Beer Dinners! Great Host/Owners!
Cons: Parking Can Be Tight!
