Greatest Place for Celebrity watching now
by Dining Professional
With all the new movies coming to town... this has become the new place for celebs to hide out and have a good meal. You never know who'll be there now....Note: they usually come in dressed very 'down' so as to not be noticed. Which should always be respected! They don't want people coming up to their tables! But to see some of the best stars that are in Atlanta at the moment working on projects, Dine at this restartant. You'll be next to some of the greatest stars that are in town at the moment. SO much fun!
awful

Came here for dinner with my husband. We were seated promptly, and then....nothing. Nobody came to greet us, take our order..nothing. So we got up and left. I've been a restaurant manager for 15 years and this is not the way to run a business.
Unimpressive to say the least

Boy, this place sucked out loud. My husband ordered the cobb salad. Yech. It was really a chopped salad with all the ingredients of a cobb salad in piles. It included cold sliced potato?!?! When my husband got home he broke out in hives. Not fresh shrimp....frozen like the stuff you buy in bags. Yech. I had a salad duet. The Shrimp Louis was just shrimp swimming in some kind of mayo. The other salad was a piece of salmon (nicely done) with lettuce under it also swimming in some sort of bacon dressing. We've always heard this place was supposed to be great. Hmmmm...Wondering when that was. What we had was really bad. No reason to go back.
Not Impressed

I was so excited to see that this restaurant was on the Midtown Restaurant Week. I had always wanted to try it. I should have kept wanting to try it. This was some of the worse food I ever tasted. First of all they served you kids size portion (I guess they thought $35.00 wasn't enough for a real meal). I had a crab cake which was salty but I ate because I was hungry. My friend had clam chowder that was so salty he could not eat it. Next came the entrees. I had shrimp and grits. Shrimp was tough were it was overcooked and the grits did not have any taste to them. My friend had fish which was so tough from being overcooked that he had to use a knife like he was cutting a steak. Next came the dessert. I do have to give them props on the dessert that's why I gave them one star. The key lime pie was great and so was the service. I left a good tip for the server because it was not his fault that the food was so bad. I can't believe that this is supposed to be a 5 star restaurant. . Save your money and go somewhere else for seafood..

EXCELLENT FOOD AND SERVICE
by sw72769
I dined here while in Atlanta and the lobster stuffed with cajun stuffing (which was recommended by our server and not on the menu) was prepared to perfection. The restaurant is elegant and the server was great. The cost for 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and drinks was just under $200. Pricey but definately worth it
- Pros: excellent food, great service, elegant
- Cons: expensive
Best Seafood
by DennisnAtlanta
I have seen some of the other reviews and I completely disagree with anyone who says the seafood is not good. I have never had a bad food experience here.
Without a doubt the best seafood in Atlanta. Far exceeds Atlanta Fish Market in Buckhead. The seafood is fresh and flown in daily. Large selection of fish, crab and lobster dishes. The steak selections are good as well, but you should go here for the seafood. My favorate is the King crab. It's a chain, but does not have a chain feel.
The wait staff is extremely helpful with the daily line up. I have had one or two waiters that I did not like, so I now request a specific waiter. The menu changes daily depending on the availability of fresh seafood. They will do just about any preparation you want and bend over backwards to make sure you are happy.
The side dishes are large and should be shared. Wine selections are extensive and they pour generous servings.
The atmosphere is elegant but I have been there in nice jeans and a nice shirt and felt comfortable. It?s not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I suspect that some who don't rate the place well suffer from the shock of the cost.
- Pros: Excellent Seafood
- Cons: Some wait staff are not that good
Hands down best Seafood

I go here on average once a month. Without a doubt the best seafood in Atlanta. Far exceeds Atlanta Fish Market in Buckhead. The seafood is fresh and flown in daily. Great experience as usual

I love the Oceannaire. Every time I go I have a wonderful exp. I went for my anniversary and they staff made us feel xtra special. Personalized menu, card signed by the staff, complimentary desert and a wonderful champagne and sorbet mix. The service and food was wonderful as always.
- Pros: Great food, service and parking
- Cons: Not very romantic
Good service.....terrible food!
by hank755
Terrible food. The service was good - no complaints there - but the food was horrible. My girlfriend and I both had rainbow trout - mine was overcooked...very dry. I thought that was bad but when I noticed that my gf was hardly eating hers I tried a bite and it was so undercooked it was disgusting. This was a big letdown as the only meat I eat is fish and was excited about going there. Like I said the service was fine & the place is nice enough but that is easiily one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had.
- Pros: Good service
- Cons: Horrible food....especially for the price
