My experience with Highland Cigar Co. comes from an avid cigar smoker (myself)! I believe in writing my own 1st hand accounts of places. I happened upon this establishment after a HORRIBLE experience with another cigar club (it shall remain nameless - they know who they are and how they treat PAID members). I was told by a friend to give Highland Cigar a try. I said why not... its worth a try. Upon my 1st day I was greeted by Rob and Brian (owners). Each one took the time out to talk to me and my wife and make us feel at home. Since then I have become a regular paid member at Highland. Last night they held an event with CAO cigars. It was phenomenal! Each day is a different "theme" day at Highland. From Poker Nite (no playing for money), to Movie Night (Godfather II was excellent), and even Ladies Night (Class is taught to women on cigars). It’s a great time. We ended up playing poker for a while as the drinks were flowing. Now, Highland is more than a Cigar Company, it’s a full fledged bar. Drink prices are reasonable, and the bar staff really knows how to make a consistent good drink (Ask for Lauren). The selection of cigars isn’t that bad. Alot of nationally known sticks are located in the humidor, its gotten alot better from when I first started coming. The food is great! It’s delivered from Chin-Chin Asian place and I hear they will be having their own food within the next few weeks. So you won’t go hungry or thirsty there. All in all Highland has a warm atmosphere for you or your date to enjoy a cigar, drink, and food in comfort. There are plenty of leather sofas and chairs & flat screens for your entertainment enjoyment. The music selection has improved and if you ask nicely they may change the TVs to a specific program if there’s not anything major going on. If your in town stop thru. You won’t be disappointed. They may be the best Cigar Club in Atlanta and I am a MEMBER of 3 clubs currently! So I'm just not talking out my a** :)
Pros: Accessibility to downtown, Tremendous amount of different Scotch's, Hours of Operations, Staff makes you feel at home.
Cons: Parking across the street is 1st come 1st serve, Humidor selection could be slightly better, room temperture could be better (cold sometimes).
