Great place however...
by tonyclifton22 at Citysearch
I like the place a lot BUT if there is ANY type of event going on; you can forget good customer service, in fact I have come in the door, went up to the bar and have waited for at least 10 minutes before getting an order of any kind placed. And don't even think you will get a greeting what so ever if an event is going on, because they are milking the capricious customers at that moment; that they feel will tip them well, instead of their regulars!
- Pros: good selection of cigars
- Cons: customer service during an event
Luxury Lives

I love a good cigar every once in a while and from now on this is my place for relaxing and having my smoke. The cigar selection is far better than any other place with a bar, and the bar selection is incredible. What more could I want? Oh yes, a plush sofa on which to relax - that was there too. I am now spoiled.
- Pros: Nice cigar selection, huge bar
- Cons: Not many food choices
Cigars and scotch: Inman Park's bar built for guys.
by Ryan Sims at Citysearch
In Short
This Inman Park cigar bar and shop lodged one level above the Inman Park portion of N. Highland Avenue will please the stogie-obsessed. Brown leather couches and flat screen TVs sit across from a large bar boasting over 50 labels of Scotch. Warm amber lighting and deep brown woods give the place a subdued and calming feel without making it feel like a mortuary when you light up that smoke you nabbed from their walk-in humidor. Most puff-sticks start between $7-$15 and move up from there. If you need to hide the habit, or lack a humidor at home, they also offer lease-able humidor lockers to lodge your booze and smoke away from your living quarters.
Great place!

I walked in to pick up a stogie and ended up spending my entire afternoon there! Why don't all cigar shops have bars inside? I sank into a sofa and felt like king of the world. Lauren and Claudia took great care of me! Thanks ladies. Keep up the great work!
- Pros: focus on customer service and comfort
- Cons: n/a
Very classy

We stumbled on this place not really knowing what to expect and found it to be a great bar with a nice cigar selection. We had no idea it was a full bar so we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very helpful and treated us like kings! This will be one of our favorite hangouts for sure.
- Pros: Classy place but still down to earth
- Cons: Very limited food menu
Below average

My experiences at Highland Cigar were not so great as everyone is saying. Since my regular cigar store closed last year, I have sort of been homeless and been trying to find a new cigar store to hang out at. I found their cigar selection to be pretty awful, slightly expensive too. I am not much of a drinker so I cant say much there. I really didn't feel the "cozy and great" atmosphere and no one claiming to be the owner rushed out to greet me. I sort of got the feeling that the waitress was trying to usher us out. There is no way so many people are giving them 5 stars. I really have to believe they are having their employees or insiders write themselves reviews. How come every good review talks about the owner by name and says how great he is? Something is up there. There is nothing really spectacular about this place. If you really want to go to a cigar store, go to Cigar World (the old Georgia Cigar) in Buckhead or Tobacco World in Marietta where they actually have a huge selection of cigars.
- Pros: average place as a bar
- Cons: terrible place as a cigar store
Great, relaxing cigar bar....one of the best!
by JPMGreg at Citysearch
I was in town on business and found out about Highland Cigar online. It looked like a great place to relax and smoke, with great reviews as well. I had emailed Brian (the owner) about the bar and when I came into the Highland Cigar, I was immediately greeted by him. I knew I was in for a nice time. Brian introduced me to some of the regulars as well as the manager, who was a knockout! I was able to bring my own cigar from the outside, though they had a small, but very nice selection (no sissy cigars) in the walk-in humidor.
I don't think you negative reviewers gave Highland Cigar a fair shot. I can't wait to visit Atlanta again.
A Woman cigar smokers Paradise

Where do I start? For a women who has been brought up on fine scotch, and finer cigars Highland has brought back so many wonderful memories. But beyond that, for a woman who loves cigars, and scotch Highland is a great environment. Very courteous gentlemen and ladies, attentive staff, and comfy furniture just to name a few.. I enjoy it there so much! I call Highland my personal escape.... It?s just to bad that you cant please everyone.. But Guys.. you are pleasing the right people.. and that?s what makes Highland Cigar Bar the best.. You have the best of Atlanta going there! Good Job!
- Pros: Good cigars, great scotch, men watching sports, men smoking cigars...men!
- Cons: to busy watching men

This is the only true" Cigar Bar" in Atlanta;which is kind of amazing considering the size of this city. Great atmosphere for meeting new people, having a drink, watching the game or smoking a stogie. Great place to bring your laptop and get some work done with their free WiFi also.
- Pros: Ambience,Service
- Cons: Parking
Best Cigar and unstuffed atmosphere
by CBradford3 at Citysearch
Your rein this past year is flawless...
Your industry and private affairs are wonderful to attend.
I compare Highland to Stogies in Montreal and Merchants in NY(Highland is much better)
Great cigars and the bar and wine selection selection get better each week.
My experiences are always great!
I personally have to write this comment because I have a problem with patrons attempting to drag down an establishment. The only way you could have a bad experience @ Highland Cigar? is if you brought a bad attitude in the door. I have been to many cigar establishments from Canada, DC, NY, to Florida. All have a stuffiness about them or some personal trend of the owners. Highland for example is a great breath of air in the business community. I smoke many cigars and bring business associates there all of the time. If you want a great drink and cigar with friendly un-stuffed atmosphere?Check out the Highland Cigar bar.
Been there since they opened and will continue go! Great job Brian and Rob
