Home=yummy!
by wifeyluther
This was my second time visiting Home and the food was just as delicious as it was the first time. My first visit was for work and I went back a second time with my husband. I made a reservation specifically for the wine cellar downstairs which has enough room for only two people. Super romantic! I reserved the cellar and our early dinner time over a month ago and arrived at Home on Friday to be sat upstairs among the public. I was told the table was filled. Annoyed! After the delish fois gras appetizer I excused myself for the restroom to see WHO was sitting at my table in the cellar. IT WAS EMPTY! Officially ticked off. Thankfully our service was great and so was the meal but I was uber annoyed that I was denied the table I requested over a month ago. Good thing I got a picture with Richard Blais to kind of smooth my disappointment over. SO, go for the food (it's awesome) just don't expect to get a special table even if you reserved it. Yes, I'm bitter :)
- Pros: Richard Blais, Turley wine, great food
- Cons: not being sat in the cellar, a little snooty
Good menu, slow service
by mcoreo
Home is not like home. I liked the menu though. I started with foie gras which by the way did not come with bread or anything to put it on until we asked which they brought a biscuit which fell apart in your fingers. The crabcake app was excellent though. I then had a strip steak? with creamed corn and that was good but not worth the price tag. Home is okay but nothing to crow about. Service was slow slow slow.
- Pros: Menu
- Cons: Slow disjointed service for food and drinks
Service is ABOVE and BEYOND
by AUGirl
I have been to Home twice. The chef is not actually Tom, but Richard Blais-currently on Top Chef. The restaurant is amazing. I have not eaten anything here that was anything less than outstanding. The service is unbelievable-the staff retention is amazing (our bartender, Cat, has worked for Here to Serve for TEN YEARS). I don't understand the review from the end of April-at all. Dumbfounded, actually.
- Pros: Richard Blais, service, food
- Cons: none
Posh Closed? Why?? Very Disappointed!!
by gr8expectations
What happened to Posh??? My very favorite restaurant in Atlanta. Over the top dining experience, excellent food, great wines and outstanding servers and service. I am so disappointed that Posh has closed. Obviously, I will have to try Home, but this new restaurant has big shoes to fill in my book!
- Pros: Food, Service, Wine List, Food, Service
- Cons: Access was a little tricky taking a left off Paces Ferry. We drove the block to park after missing the valet entrance.
Far From Home
by blank12345
This was by far one of the worst places I have been to in a really long time. It was horrible. The place was empty, we had two servers, and they still could not give good service. Nothing came out right or in a timely manner, and it was not good at all. We were so excited to go to the new Here to Serve spot, and it was such a dissapointment. When we talked to the manager he could have cared less...it is as far from home as you can get!
Very good meal and service

Enjoyed a very good Sunday dinner this week. Sweetbreads and tuna tartare trio were excellent appetizers. Beef tenderloin and foie gras was perfect. Tea smoked duck breast was delicious. Cheese course was very good, three excellent Italian cheeses. The service was friendly and very good. The ambience was quite pleasant. Very little to find wrong with this restaurant. Without wine and including tip and cocktails, dinner for two ran about $200. I am puzzled by the nasty negative review from the guy who visited in April and who in true nouveau riche style had to tell us his Mercedes was mistreated by the valet. I can understand being frustrated by the dent in the car, but to write a review that trashes the food and service in this fine restaurant is laughable and tells us more about the childish reviewer than it does about Posh. I give Posh very high scores and experienced none of the drama and silliness described by the April 2007 reviewer.
- Pros: Ambience, varied menu, friendly efficient service
- Cons: none worth mentioning
Love it!

I figured with a name like Posh it couldn't be horrible and I was so happy to find out it is WONDERFUL! I'm just so happy to have such a great place to go in Buckhead. We really haven't had anything new in a while and this was definitely worth it. It's really nothing like the old Seeger's. The service was impeccable. We had Joy wait on us and she certainly has an appropriate name, she was just perfect for a Birthday celebration. We had the spinach and tomato salad and the mixed greens salad and both cleaned our plates. They were dressed perfectly. Then we ordered the terrine which is delicious, very rich but wonderful with the pickled peach and grainy mustard. We also had the lemon sole with is the most perfect dish for a hot summer night (and when you know you are ordering dessert.) I definitely recommend the sticky toffee pudding. Yum!
- Pros: location, wine list, food, service
- Cons: Really don't have any
POSH IT IS NOT!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT GO!!!!!!!!!

Here to Serve took the old Seeger space and didn't spend a dime on it at all. It was always a drab, stuffy space, but Seeger knew how to cook. Posh touts that "Tom Catherall is back in the kitchen". Well, on opening weekend, he was NOT there at all (and this was Saturday night). And if he developed the poor recipes, he has lost his touch and should stay OUT of the kitchen from now on. The inept server lied about the quality and size of the fois gras, which was miniscule, served cold (and this was seared fois gras!), and amazingly overpriced at $22. It's now off the menu. The $30 halibut served was exactly the same as the portion sold at Goldfish for $18 and smaller, more like the $13.95 lunch portion. The remainder of the food and dessert and service was poor. And after writing the management (you, David) about it, they refused to do anything to compensate. We are just waiting for Posh to close it's doors. In a town with so much good food, this thing won't last. Posh does in no way live up to its pretentious name.
- Pros: none
- Cons: everything
Chef Catherall Back At The Helm! Best New Opening This Year! Very Posh and Simply Wonderful!
by jaymaygm
I cried a few years back when Tom Tom closed at Lenox Square, but thank goodness Prime is still there. Now Tom Catherall has reopened the Seeger's location, and it is now Posh. And all those creative juices from Tom Tom, are flowing once again. Catherall seems most creative when he is in the kitchen. We love this lovely location, intimate with only eighty seats, but not stuffy, but very inviting. We've already been twice, and I want to try everything on the menu. Just a couple of highlights. I started with Peekytoe Crab Cakes w/asparagus and lemon dressing. Some of the best Crab Cakes ever. My partner had a terrine of Ham Knuckle and Fois Gras w/Pea Puree and Walnut Oil. What an orginal. We split a salad of vine ripe tomatoes, with the best Bleu Cheese dressing I've ever had. I could not resist the Short Ribs of Beef in Red Zinfadel. I only wish I had leftovers, for a sandwich. Please note, these are not two bite entree's. My partner had a Curry Dusted Monk Fish w/Broth, that tasted better than the sweetest lobster anywhere. The deserts sounded wonderful, but we finished with a delightful Cheese Plate. We are so delighted with Posh. And so are the service staff, giving gracious smiles. Without a doubt, this is the best new restaurant so far in the ATL, this year. Go Tom!
- Pros: Creative Tom Catherall Menu! Wonderful Service!
