The Scene
Atlanta is a stylish city with high-end shopping and boutiques rivaling many major metropolitan areas, and boy did we land one here. Decatur's DressCodes, a trendy spot without the trendy attitude channels SoHo shopping in the heart of Decatur. Local art appropriately dresses up the white walls, and turntables are on display when not being used during the store's art openings. Two adorable Boston terriers cautiously (and cutely) guard the door, and the owners are always there and always friendly.
The Goods
Striving to carry unique lines not easily found in Atlanta, the duo-owned boutique offers rare items from Japan, Sweden, Korea and L.A. Edging into a philanthropic side, they choose lines that often stand for something besides simply fashion, whether its a partnering charity or ecologically minded labels. Despite attention for imports like Filippa K and Soia & Kyo, they also carry items from local designers.
Great Store!

I've been a regular customer since discovering this store by accident The selection of clothes I love. They carry items that I do not see much of in Atlanta. This makes for great conversation when I go styling and profiling! The owners and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and I've gotten great customer service each time which has made it easy to be a loyal customer.

I love this new boutique! great selection of clothing, very helpful staff, and calm environment...you don't feel rushed! Dress Codes is not like some other boutiques in Atlanta where the staff think they are better than you!
- Pros: great clothing environment, helpful staff
Great clothes. Great advice (owners are fantastic).

Dresscodes is one of the new crop of Atlanta boutiques. It has labels that are far from the "me-too" fashions that are seen at many area stores (all 300 Bill Hallman stores, I'm looking at you! Same goes for you M+R!!). And, even better, the owners Karen and Brett are really helpful in explaining just what about a piece makes it a great addition to your wardrobe, as well as how to rock it, what it can be paired with, and they're way ahead of the curve of what's next in fashion, music, and art.
Stop in. You won't be disappointed.
Plus, they're having a sale in January of 2007 so you can get hottttt clothes for cheap prices.
- Pros: selection, new labels, learn something every time you go
- Cons: things *can* get pricey, spending more money that I have, credit card bills

Dresscodes is the best shopping in decatur, maybe even atlanta. I often find that many boutiqes here carry the same lines, and clothes but dresscodes offers options to the shopper. come here and you won't be disappointed.
- Pros: nice selection of clothes, friendly staff

One of the Best New Boutique's
by thinky at Citysearch
This is a great new clothing store (with stuff for men and women) in downtown Decatur. It is around the corner from the new Ted's Montana Grill. DressCodes has labels that are not stocked by all of the same-old-same-old stores in the Highlands and Buckhead; instead it's got lots of international and underground labels. Great selection of denim for men and women as well as tops, jackets, accessories, and local art (for sale) on the walls.
- Pros: Easy Parking, Friendly Staff, Great Prices.
