High five for wonderful dishes, service/staff, and decor

I went to Trois when I visited Atlanta couple times for biz from nyc. Menu offers wide variety of dishes (great design btw) it is french but keep it very simple. Since we were many of us, we were able to try almost every appetizer but everything was just great. Entree was just right portioned and just wonderful. This is also great for a business dining as well. ( across from four seasons) Very nice service and knowledgeable staff.
- Pros: everything
- Cons: nada
Chic Bar

The Bar at TROIS is my new favorite place to start a Girls Night Out. My ladies and I went there last Saturday night and fell in love with the atmosphere - classy and sophisticated but not snooty. The drinks, although a little more expensive than you might find at other bars, are delish and completely worth the money. I tried the Apoirtif and loved its pear taste that wasn't too sweet. My friends had the Jack Rose, Nick & Nora Martini and the Silver Gin Fizz. With fun names like these, what's not to like?

I attended Trois recently on a Sat. night as part of a private christmas party. As I entered the restaurant I was promptly greeted by the hostess who asked if I was there for the private party. But unfortuantley I have to metion there was a gentlemen there who interjected and asked for the specific name of the party. This I didnt mind but it seemed a bit abrassive and partialy took away from the warm greeting I recieved. Once I answered I walk in I was impressed by the bar seating area which was well illuminated and had a chic decor. The drinks were of course top shelf and the drink menus was even more enjoyably distinctive. The appetizer were delicious and the waitress more then overcompensated for mishap at the door. She was friendly and knowledgible as well new what to recommend to drink from there unique menu to suit my preferences. I would give it five stars but I only had the opportunity to visit one of three levels in this wonderful establishment so until next time I can only give it 4.
- Pros: Everything!
- Cons: Nothing!
best dining experience ever!!!!!!

After reading all the negative reviews on citysearch I was not quite sure what to expect at Trois, however, My wife and I decided to give it a shot on a busy saturday night. I did not understand how a restaurant could recieve best new restaurant awards in both atlanta magazine and esquire magazine without just cause. We did not know what to expect when walking in the door but we were very pleasantly surprised. Our reservation was set for 730p..we arrived @ 7p and were asked by the hostess at the front door if we'd like to be seated or have a drink in the bar...we chose the bar and were personally escorted down the beautiful marble staircase through a curtain to a posh bar setting..we chose to begin the the night with of course the trois specialty martini which was excellent (even though I don't drink gin)..20 minutes later we were asked by the hostess if we'd like to be seated..paid our bar tab and again were personally escorted upstairs and to our dining table..our meal began with a complimentary champagne toast and chilled gazpacho from the chef..nice touch so far..as I love wine and am a bit of a wine snob their list was outstanding..we chose a excellent pinot noir from oregon from the reserve list...though not to break the bank @ $110.00..our server was delightful...explained numerous menu items including her favorites and stated she would return to answer any questions we may have in a few moments..which she did..my wife began with the burgundy snails and goat chz ravioli (JUST PERFECT)..I chose the foie gras ( best I've EVER had from new york to la)..For dinner, we shared the chateaubriand with bernaise sauce and we did not even need a knife to cut the meat it was so tender..our server checked up on us for each course that somehow was better than the last..ending with dessert port and cognac..this is by far the best dining experience we have ever had..we will definitely be back and often DON'T BELIEVE ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS THIS PLACE IS OUTSTANDING
- Pros: SERVICE, FOOD, AMBIANCE
- Cons: restrooms on third floor, alot of stairs
American-French chic meets Southern hospitality

My wife and I had a lovely time at Trois this weekend. We sat on the patio overlooking the skyline and had some of the best food. My wife had the duck, which was succulent and flavorful. I had the beef oxtail. The meet was tender and rich, and the scallops were seared perfectly. The wine steward's recommendations paired with precision. The service was charming, hospitable, and prompt. The restaurant's awards are well deserved.
- Pros: Amazing creative food, easy parking, progressive decor
- Cons: crowded inside
Phenomenal!

Dinner at Trois last Thursday was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. I'm talking New York, San Francisco, London, Paris this was unbelievable! I was extremely skeptical after reading other reviews but I had a fabulous experience. To be completely honest, the evening started out shaky with our first waitress but I think they could see this and quicky removed her (for good I hope). The rest of the evening was fantastic. We had wonderful champagne, french onion soup, mixed greens salad a la mode and the flounder. Finally topping it all off with the dark chocolate cake, divine. It was truly just too delicious for words. I am so proud of Atlanta for finally having a great restaurant I could cry! This is the place to take friends from the "top tier" cities because they will not believe it.
- Pros: food, atmosphere
- Cons: none
Wonderful experience...

Visiting TROIS last weekend for a third time confirmed that it is one of the cities most fabulous restaurants. For young professionals (22-30) who are constantly searching for trendy Atlanta hotspots, TROIS is surely a place to see and be seen. On Saturday night, three girlfriends and I went to TROIS without a reservation. We told the hostess upstairs that we would like to be seated in the main dining room, but we wanted to have a drink at the bar downstairs first. As a former New Yorker, I have frequented many eccentric, modern lounges and the bar at TROIS is definitely on a pedestal in my book. The decor is edgy but still inviting... you feel nothing less than chic while sipping a cocktail, surrounded by floor to celing glass walls. The posh, yet sophisticated ambiance of this restaurant is truly addictive. When we were seated upstairs, the three of us shared the soft potato gnocchi, "toad in a hole", and lobster salad... all delicious. We also ordered the prime beef tenderloin with fois gras, mushrooms and spinach and devoured it... savoring every last bite! I have been consistenly pleased with the service, food and crowd at TROIS and will continue to suggest this restaurant to all out of town guests, my friends, family, co-workers for happy hour, etc. A night at TROIS is definitely a night to experience...trust me!!!

I was a little worried about trying Trois after reading some of the reviews here. I've eaten at fabulous restaurants in New York, San Francisco, LA, London, etc, and Trois rates up there with many of the best I've been to. The atmosphere is city chic and the service was impeccable -- from the valet to the bartender to the hostest to the multiple table servers -- all were friendly, prompt and helpful. On a Tuesday night the bar was mostly populated with what seemed to be groups of work colleagues. My date and I had lovely martinis at the bar. Our dinner reservation was for 8 pm and at 7:55 the hostess came to take us upstairs to the restaurant. I do agree that the tables for two are a little too close together. We had a father/son sitting next to us and I could definitely hear a lot of their conversation. A small glass of champagne and camembert mousse were a nice gratis treat from the chef. We had the smoked salmon appetizer, which is a little skimpy for two (and for $12), but very tasty. The lump crabmeat with watermelon and ginger was delicious and a nice-sized portion for two. I had the flounder and my date had the veal and we both loved our meals. I will definitely go back to Trois and will consider it as an impressive place to take out-of-towners (especially food snobs from New York!). P.S. Make sure you visit the restrooms -- funky!
- Pros: Atmosphere, Service, Interesting menu
- Cons: tables for two are too close together
Best Restaurant in Atlanta

This is by far the best restaurant in Atlanta. I think Atlanta finally has a sophisticated restaurant that is fine dinig at it's best. I just moved from NYC and have been dissapointed in the restaurants that Atlanta has to offer, but Trois is the best restaurant in the entire city. The food and ambiance can't be beat. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone as you can't get any better. Wow!
- Pros: So coo, great food, wonderful service
- Cons: NONE
My New Favorite Place - EVER!
by filmsnfood at Citysearch
This place is unbelievable!!! I eat all very regularly and try to check out all the places that are being talked about in town. Some are worth their salt and some are definately not. This place was far beyond my expectations! The bar is the most gorgeous in town. It was hard to pry myself from there to go upstairs for dinner, but I'm so glad that I did. The food was amazing! I've never had a huge love for French cuisine, but I'm changing my tune now. My girlfriend had the lobster knuckles and I had the mussels to start. Both tasted incredible, full of flavor. For dinner, she had the veal duo and I had the oxtail. Again, no disappointments! Minus licking the plates, we finished every bite. We were really full at this point, but we were on a roll, so dessert was a must. Seriously amazing chocolate mousse. I've been to all the other restaurants in this company, and love them all...but I think I have a new fav. Trois is simply magnific!
- Pros: gorgeous, incredible food, excellent service
- Cons: won't be able to go often enough
