Maybe it's not their fault...but...
by jmshahan at Citysearch
In Chocolate Pink's defense, I've only experienced their desserts through Zifty. The first time, I opted for a red velvet cupcake and it was terrible. The frosting was waxy and flavorless, and the cake itself was dry and crumbly. The second time, I tried the cheesecake with raspberry sauce. The sauce had a funky sour smell to it and the cheesecake was bland, while the crust had a definite lard/rancid oil flavor. Finally, the third and last time, I tried their brownies. Very odd texture, too sweet but not fudgy and not quite cakelike. I'm kind of grossed out by the brownies and I'm a chocoholic!
There's gotta be better places for dessert in Atlanta, and I imagine if you're headed to the actual cafe you're going for the overall experience. I'm sure the cafe has a great mix and a great atmosphere, but the food has been terrible. And if they're selling Zifty the old, stale, crusty garbage, then that's a great way to garner negative reviews.
- Pros: Deliverable
- Cons: Waste of calories.
Cute Venue. Private Event Service Disappointing.
by ssilvy at Citysearch
I recently hosted a bridal shower event at Chocolate Pink. After reading the many reviews on how cute the place was for this type of event, I made an appointment to view and was sold on the spot. The space really sold itself...it is located on the second floor of the pastry shop which are both really cute, quaint and nicely decorated. At the initial meeting with the event coordinator and discussing the availability and fees, she said she'd be in touch within a week of my event. I reached out to her a few times before the event to square away the bill in advance and each time there was no prompt response. I left a message for her a week before the event as I was interested in placing an order for decorative sweet treats and heard nothing. Finally three days prior to the event, I receive a message that I met the deadline to order sweets from Chocolate Pink for my event. I returned the call within 10 minutes and left her a message... Never heard back from her. Our cupcakes came from another local sweet shop due to her unavailability. When I arrived on the day of, our event coordinator was eager to advise me of the outside catering fee due and of course, that she was there to help with any of my needs. My guests enjoyed the event and adored the location. I was a little disappointed with the role that the event coordinator played in my event. It seemed the only thing she coordinated was the payment for the space which again sold itself. The experience with Chocolate Pink was not very personalized. I would rent the space again because it serves the purpose and comfortably accomodates an intimate gathering and is in a central location...I would just do it with the expectation that space is all I'm paying for.
- Pros: Trendy, Central Location
- Cons: Bad Customer Service
Decadent Delicious Divine Desserts
by KeithKNOWS at Citysearch
I can still taste that scrumptuous chocolate ginger cookie that melted away in my mouth... Decadent desserts, elegantly displayed, impressive flavors, a bit of France comes to Atlanta Located in a sleek mixed-use condo development in the heart of Midtown. My sweet spot: Petunia cake, Brown Sugar Bananas, Nutella Ganache, Hazelnut Mousse, Chocolate Buttermilk Cake this dessert is at least 4 inches wide, so I saved some of it for later. (well, a few hours later b/4 I devoured it) The café also serves a variety of coffees, teas, pastries, the space is also available for birthday parties, book club meetings, art shows, etc. Another nice perk, the café will validate your parking(8th Street parking ramp) or get some exercise take MARTA. Great Customer service!
- Pros: great atmosphere, parking, funky music, matcha green tea
Great coffee, beautiful desserts
by gilthoniel at Citysearch
I think they selected a great location. The service was also very good and the servers were helpful in selecting a cake. Honestly, it was some of the best coffee I've had in a long time. Overall the experience was expensive ($20 for two pastries, a cup of tea, and a cup of coffee) but I will definitely go back. The atmosphere reminds me of a French Cafe...at least while I was sitting outside.
- Pros: Coffee/tea, pastries, location
- Cons: Price
Midtown Oasis
by shenzi at Citysearch
I love Chocolate Pink!!! It's an easy walk from many midtown restaurants so it's great place to go relax with girlfriends after lunch at F2O or dinner at Nikimotos. The cafe is cute and cozy with an overall international feel with everything from music to the desserts to the clientele. The decor is retro and modern all at once and the chocolate and pink colors are even mirrored in the cute coffee cups. During the day it's a peaceful midtown oasis that's great for reading or studying and at night it's the opposite with a good crowd after dinner making it nice that they have Open Table to reserve your seat. Oh and did I mention the desserts? Sign up for the email list for a free dessert on your birthday and announcements of new desserts each month. I especially love the caramel apple cupcake and the brand new strawberry rhubarb tart, but go and try anything, I've never been disappointed!
- Pros: Ambience, Great Service
- Cons: Limited Parking in Deck, but it's Midtown
je t'aime le chocolat rose

My recent visit to Chocolate Pink was like entering a chocolate paradise on the french riviera. The decorations are tasteful and chic. I was impressed by the customer service as well as the cleanliness and attention that I received. The employee gave me a step by step of each desert that I asked about and was very patient and friendly considering the fact that I took 5 years to decide what I wanted. In the end, chocolate pink is a great spot to get away and enjoy a few calories at a very reasonable price. Great atmosphere and oh yeah, great coffee too!!!
- Pros: The pear caramel
- Cons: parking
Where's the hidden camera?

I didn't know a cupcake could taste so bad. They are so tiny (not cute, just tiny), and I had a taste for both coconut and red velvet, so I ordered one of each. Now, let me tell you that I will eat just about any kind of food with frosting on it. That said, I could not even finish the 2nd bite of the red velvet cupcake. It was that bad! The cake, the frosting, the whole thing. Whoever said they tasted frozen and thawed was correct. The worst part? I paid $7! ( Whoever designed the logo and decor did a great job, though. )
- Pros: Cute logo
- Cons: Price, taste, parking

All I have to say is just try! If you like chocolate and gourmet pastries, you'll want to work your way through the menu just like me. It's hard to find such great desserts in Atlanta...go for it!
- Pros: Awesome pastries!
- Cons: Can't think of any
Couldn't get enough!!

Hi everyone...chocolate madness here and I just wanted to say that chocolate pink is a dream come true for chocoholics in atlanta! The pastries are to die for and their little event room is so darling!! I really enjoyed my friends shower the other weekend, it was just perfect for our group of 20 and of course the chocolate is simply awesome! The service was impeccable from Sharon, who was there to help every step of the way...she even helped clean up our mess. The rates were very reasonable and everything was explained to us up front, no hidden charges or fees...it just depends on what you want to do with your party. Ours was a blast and the mother-to-be couldn't have been happier! I highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed!
- Pros: Awesome shower place!
- Cons: Can't take the pastry case home with me :(
Just Too Bad!

I am an event coordinator and I also run a 1,300+ member Social group in Atlanta. I recently called to make reservations and they told me that I would have to just try my luck getting tables for my group since they didn't want to reserve their tables with a group of 15. They did tell me I could reserve their Events Facility for $150. Since we just wanted to do dessert and coffee after having a wonderful meal at Ecco in Midtown I decided to not rent their event facility, call ahead and see if they were busy. When I called I was told that they had tables open. We went over there we waited about 10 minutes and there were enough tables open for us all to sit down. All 15 of us ordered coffee and dessert, all the coffee and dessert came out about 15 minutes after we placed out order. After we got our dessert we were finishing up our dessert and coffee and sitting for about 15 minutes after it came out before the manager came over and told us we needed to consolidate our tables as we were taking up to much room. 11 of us got up and left as we were getting ready to leave anyway. The other 4 were told they were turning away business because of us... which the actual time we were sitting in their tables was about 30 minutes 15 waiting for coffee and desserts and 15 drinking it before we were told we needed to leave. In this time I did not see one person turned away and I was facing the doors. One of our members said to the manager it was too bad they were treating us in this fashion as we have 1,300 members in our group and we would have recommended them as well as leave a nice tip. We were then told by the waitress and manager that they did not need our business anyway. The dessert was good, a bit expensive but not too unreasonable. The service was AWFUL! We will not return and we will be posting on our members site as well as anywhere else how we were treated. Also I will not be recommending this facility to any of my clients. Save your money and go to Cafe Intermezzo!
- Pros: The Service is HORRIBLE!
- Cons: The dessert was decent
