Ernest is very personable and beyond being a hair stylist, he is more like an artist He displays a very natural ability to cut hair, and his eye for color is extraordinary This is the best cut and color that I ever received since I left the New York area 5 years ago I travel over an hour to get my hair styled by him, and I feel it is more than worth it Try him, you won't be disappointed in any way Marie Labassi

Ernest has been my stylist for over three years. My first experience with Ernest was the result of another salon's disaster. I needed someone I could trust to repair what I can only describe as a chesnut brunette who ended up a red koolaid disaster of a color. I contacted Ernest's former salon scheduled an appointment with him after contacting anybody who was anybody in Atlanta to ask "where do I turn to fix this mess", the answer was unanimously Ernest Lawhon. You can imagine my apprehension in repairing the utter damage which had been bestowed upon my head, "red koolaid does not bestow the right attention in Corporate America"......From the moment I met him I had the utmost confidence that I had nothing to be concerned about and if anyone would repair the damage it would be Ernest....repair the damage is an understatement....I have never had a more natural, vibrant, shiny, and breathtaking color experience in my lifetime. Fast forward three years.....I would follow Ernest to the end of the globe.....I commute half way across the country to perform my career duties.....there are only two reasons I come back to Atlanta on a monthly basis, #1 is to see my wonderful husband and a close second is for Ernest "to do his magic" on my hair. The man is awesome, professional, and whatever your hair care needs from cut to color....he creates the best you, you can be not someone else.....he is truly gifted at his craft!!!!

Pros: There are too many to name...and the staff is unbelievable

Cons: You would be hard pressed to find any

Ernest is fantastic! He squeezed us right in, no questions asked. Offered anything to drink. Was very fast. He knows exactly what he is doing! All of the girls who worked for him in the salon were so sweet and very funny. We felt like kings! Hot towel with mint aromas for your face, a free massage. This place is worth it all. PLEASE go you will be very happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All I could say after I left the salon was WOW. I loved my hair. I have had many bad salon experiences and was a little nervous about trying a new place. I even drove forty minutes to get there, I live in Pickens county, so Roswell was a slight haul. I will never go anywhere else again, I don't believe they could possibly do a better job than Ernest Lawhon Hair Artisans. Imade an apt with Ernest himself and he created a custom color for me! I have gotten raving compliments on my new hair color and he gave me a gorgeous sweeping cut. They use Aveda products so my hair felt incredibly healthy after the coloring. I would highly reccomend this salon to anyone looking for a great, tailored cut, color, anything. He has a highly professional staff, they know what they are doing, VERY EXPERIENCED. I would trust them with any service. Go check them out, you will be SO happy that you did!!!

Have not seen a bad haircut or color from any of the staff. Would recommend anyone there!!!Always on time too!! Always a great cut and color!!

Pros: Small, cozy atmosphere. People look normal.....

I had been searching for a great stylist for a long time which frequently resulted in a boring cut. I finally found the BEST stylist - Ernest Lawhon (owner of Ernest Lawhon Hair Artisans)! Ernest truly listened to my goal and made recommendations that not only worked with the shape of my face, but enhanced the style too. His service is fabulous and he is truly passionate about his salon. If you are ready for an amazing experience, I HIGHLY recommend Ernest!

I went to Ernest Lawhon Hair Artisans for the 1st time and was thrilled with my results. I was not sure what I wanted done, but knew I was tired of the bland color in my hair. Ernest put in low-lights and highlights and my hair looks amazing and very natural! I still can't believe how great the color turned out. It's wonderful going to someone with the expertise that Ernest has and to be able to enjoy your haircut in a relaxed unpretentious environment.

I was new to Ernest and he gave me an excellent cut--one of the best I've ever had. The salon is pricey, but Ernest's expertise is top-notch. He made my hair look like it had three times the volume. I plan to return for color.

I have alwasy been a little nervous about coloring my hair but Ernest made me feel very comfortable. He was very knowledgable and friendly. My highlites turned out awesome. He knew exactly what I was looking for which was great because I didn't have a clue. His staff is very friendly and they took really good care of me. If you are looking for good color, this is definitely the place you want to go. I will highly recommend him to everyone I know.

I was recently relocated to Atlanta with my employer and was feeling a little down... I knew a make-over was due so I looked on citysearch.com to see who was recommended in my area. Earnest popped up and after I read the reviews I made an appointment. I was able to get in within a few days and after work! The hair cut and color is the best I have ever had. Earnest is honest and took the time to find out what kind of person I was and what I did not want see on my head. I paid a little more than I was use to , but still worth the money since I never got this kind of service in Houston. I made a follow up appointment before I left.

Pros: Great Hours, No Wait, Fab Hair

Cons: More $$ than expected
