Pho noodle soup (horrible), Bun (noodle bowls), grape leaf wrapped meat

I have been to this place 2 times over the last couple of months, and after each time, I left with a horrible after-taste in my mouth and numerous stomach issues. After reading some reviews and watching the CBS evening news, I found out exactly why I came home sick after each of my visits in the Grape Leaf Grill. Firstly, the service is absolutely unacceptable. I've been to a lot of restaurants (Cheese cake factory, Com Grill, Ted's Montana Grill, Capital Grill, etc.), all of which have amazing or average service. The servers in Grape Leaf Grill lack the inspiration and experience to adequately serve their customers. They are completely unattentive to the needs and desires of the diners. On my visits, it took almost an hour before the food arrived to my table. Each time I ordered my dish (Rice with grilled pork), they gave me noodles with grilled pork. Why they always made this mistake is beyond my comprehension. It did not help that all of their noodle dishes have peanuts in them. Unfortunately, I am deathly allergic to peanuts. When they returned with my correct order, I found remnants of peanuts mixed in with the meat and vegetables on the rice. Customarily, rice dishes do not contain any peanuts. I realized that they did not re-prepare my order completely. Instead, they recycled ingredients from my old order and put it in my new order. My only wish is that I never revisited that place after the first time because the second time I ate there, it turned out even worse. The aftermath left me shaken and bedridden for almost a week with symptoms associated with explosive bowel movements and vomitting. I implore to my fellow diners -- don't bring your loved ones here. I am of elderly age and have numerous grandchildren who I would not (even in my worst nightmares) bring anywhere within the vicinity of the Grape Leaf Grill.
- Pros: none
- Cons: a waste of money (you might need to check up on your health insurance plan before eating here)
Stay Safe and Stay Away!

This information was on the Q100's radio station and can be found on CBS 47's website (on-line).
The bad inspection was as follows:
1.) Grape Leaf Grill - 54 pts.
2755 Canton Road - Cobb County - Inspection date - 2/15/07
The report says there was moldy food in the freezer. Plus, rice, chicken, steak were at unsafe temperatures. Inspectors also found evidence of insects and rodents.
But, then their reinspection was not much better:
Grape Leaf Grill - 58 pts.
2755 Canton Road - Cobb County - Re-inspection date - 2/23/07
The report says there were spoiled avocados and outdated salmon in the refrigerator. Plus, beef, chicken and rice were all at unsafe temperatures.
Stay safe and keep your loved ones safe. I found this information out after dining there. Talk about getting ill that I had exposed my family to these hazardous conditions...shame on me and if you go shame on you!
- Pros: The place is darling and the decor is appealing.
- Cons: Every booth was dirty las time I dined there and then I discovered their poor health dept. ratings...run for you life!
quick service and great food

This place is less than a mile from my office. With more than 20 local restraunts to choose from I'll pick Grape Leaf 90% of the time. The quality of food is excellent and the service is pleasant and prompt.
- Pros: Noodle dishes to write home about
Smoke, fire and provocative seasonings team up to rouse Marietta's sleepy dining scene with a jolt of the Vietnamese grill.

The Scene
Heavy ornamentation, a formidable color scheme and draped windows deck out a spacious dining room that would be an accomplishment to fill. Weekdays it comes close, when the local business crowd piles into roomy booths that lend well to conversation. Service is unpolished but sincere.
The Food
The kitchen turns out far more than its namesake dish, but smoky, slightly charred grape leaves are appropriately the scene stealers here. Beef-filled leaves are aromatic with star anise, and a version with duck is delicately seasoned, but meaty and rich. Translucent, rice-paper-wrapped spring rolls are clumsy fistfuls, but they're a happy melange of finely slivered mango, cucumber and grilled meat. A few dishes suffer from under-seasoning; a plate of stir-fried lemongrass tofu lacks zest, and grilled shrimp are unfortunately bland. Others are intensely flavorful, like papaya and mango salads that epitomize the hot-sour-salty-sweet flavor quartet.
Authentic Vietnamese restaurant

Now we're talking about vietnamese food! My girlfriend is vietnamese, and she's been amazed by the menu and the taste. What can I say, we're talking here about traditional vietnamese food, purely subjectively, I would say the menu is perfect!!
Of course, from now on, this restaurant is understaffed and the service is then a bit slow ... Well I simply don't care, believe me, it's worth it: the longer you'll wait, the better it'll be!! So I wouldn't recommend it to persons in a hurry, although I don't understand how we can go in a restaurant and pretend to be in a hurry. For me it's just unconcievable. The atmosphere there is great also, I've appreciated the fact that we can seat ourselves, so I took my time to go all around the place and admire the decorations which are really romantic and give that place a plus for its traditional touch. I recommend it to every vietnamese food's lovers and anyone who'd like to taste this just enough spicy place! :)
- Pros: traditional vietnamese food, ambience.
- Cons: understaffed, but they're really kind and helpful!
Great Food But Way Understaffed

My husband and I tried this restaurant after reading the review on accessAtlanta. The food was just as great as promised - too bad it took an hour and a half to actually get it. Our server was very gracious and brought us out a free appetizer for waiting so long, but the damage was done. Several parties left the restaurant because they either weren't seated or it was taking an enormous amount of time to get their food. We went on a Friday night and there were only three waiters and who knows how many were in the kitchen. Hopefully they learned their lesson and will have more waiters next time because this place is way too good to lose its business because they don't have quick enough turnaround.
- Pros: great food, good price, convenient location
- Cons: no spicy warnings, very slow service
Fantastic food, but under-staffed

I went with my family of four to Grape Leaf Grill and we all got different appetizers/entrees and sampled around - there wasn't a dish or item I tried that wasn't fantastic! The only complaint was the server was inattentive, but to be fair, I believe it was because she didn't have much help and probably had a larger-than-expected crowd. When she came around she was very gracious and pleasant. I would DEFINITELY go out to Grape Leaf Grill again, it was all we could talk about even days later!!!!!
- Pros: food, decor, ambience
- Cons: slow staff
