Wonderful brunch

by marysbuzz

Had brunch for the first time at Feast today and it was glorious! The dish with the chorizo and eggs was amazing and the benedict that my husband ordered was unique and full of flavor. We decided to try out the all you can drink bloody marys and they are to die for!! We will be back next Sunday for sure!!

  • Pros: all you can drink bloody marys!
  • Cons: parking, no buscuits!

Yummy

by tbl42

We love to go to this quaint little restarant in Decatur, the food is always great and the atmosphere is cozy. It's always busy and the staff is super friendly. I sat at the bar and had drinks and desserts, the dessert sampler is super yummy! Even if you don't eat there i suggest coming for dessert, the lime pound cake was delicious!

  • Pros: desserts
  • Cons: parking

A great place for a party

by dineforfun

I recently attended a shower for a friend at Feast and while we had a wonderful time and the server tried her best, I had the feeling that Feast wasn't prepared to serve a large group. The food was good, not what you would expect at this type of event, service was decent but disorganized. The restaurant was a bit busy and they seemed to be short staffed. The plates were mixed matched and there were no utensils for cutting our cake. The flowers looked cheap and the hostess was pushy. Again, we had a nice time but I think it was because of the company we were in and not the reataurant!. I would think twice about having my shower there.

  • Pros: large space, attentive service, reasonable prices
  • Cons: inexperience with large parties

Best Pizza in town

by sumodiner

I'm new to the area and was in search of a place to make new friends, grab a bite to eat and seek shelter from the cold rainy night. I found all of that at Feast! The steak pizza was original and fantastic, beer list has a unique selection and the bartender is warm and hospitable. It's hard to find a true neighborhood restaurant anymore and I think that I have found a true gem. Ate there for the third time this weekend and I have yet to be dissappointed. I look forward to dining there again and hope you do the same!

  • Pros: food, friendly service, great pizza
  • Cons: parking, noisy kids

Great food - Great atmosphere

by michellee

Ate at Feast for the first time this past Friday night. Had such a memorable time. Our server (Greg) was top notch! He was so friendly and knowledgable. The calamari was the best we've had in Decatur. My husband had the steak special , which was cooked perfectly and I had the salmon, cooked on a cedar plank. FANTASTIC! For dessert we shared a bread pudding, OUT OF THIS WORLD! The wine suggestions were perfect. We will be eating at Feast again and again!

  • Pros: Service, food, ambience
  • Cons: none!

I am a regular

by docgresh

I go here regularly..in winter I sit in front of the oven at the bar; in summer in the backyard. The wines are very reasonably priced.20 under $20...the best white is the Chardonnay/viognier mix. The feast small salad is always good...it has slices of pear, pecans, gorgonzola. Currently my favorite entree is the scallops with couscous. The planked salmon, cooked well-done for me, is always reliable and healthy. I do not eat steak so I cannot respond to the steak criticisms. The menu changes with the seasons. I have not really liked the lobster risotto. I have liked the pasta dishes. People rave over the roasted chicken but I eat so much chicken at home, that I cannot bring myself to order it....I usually do not have room for dessert but they do not do too much with the desserts..I have had all of them over time..I think the bread pudding is about the best one but this is not their strong suit. They are also great to me...I do not go on the weekend but do go on thursday nights when it is not too crowded. My service has been good but sometimes they will be slammed...a reliable friendly place to eat.

nice relaxing meal

by reingold

This was our first time eating here, but it came highly recommended from a friend. The ambience is very nice and being a nice evening we chose to eat on the back terrace. After reading some of the reviews I was concerned about the service, however we had a great very attentive server. We did go at a non-peak time ( 5:30 on a Friday) and the restaurant was not crowded, so that may have contributed to the good service and prompt delivery of food. We had the blue crab and artichoke appitizer with pita chip, which was very good. We also had the olive mix, good but overpriced given the number of olives you get. I had the fish specical which was great and my husband had to ribeye- good but a little overcooked. Desserts looked good but we were too full. As others mentioned , they do have a nice selection of resonably priced wines.

I would definately go back, howver at almost 30.00 for a piece of steak I think there are better places. I wouls stick with the seafood entrees.

  • Pros: wine list prices, ambiance, service, valet parking
  • Cons: food quality not consistent,

great food - fits decatur perfectly! service is unpredictible, but still worth a try.

by kippacat

I have eaten here dozens of times and will continue to go back. I have recommended it to many people! So far - every time I have been I have had a great meal. There are a few things on the menu that are just fantastic and I will go out of my way to get them - the mushroom chips, for instance. The pizzas are light and flavorful with a wonderful chewy/crispy crust and have just the right amount of toppings. I also loved the squash ravoli special. I have to agree that service is spotty at best - we have had a couple of very good attentive/frendly/speedy ones, and then a couple that acted like they were doing us a favor by waiting on us. Believe me - if I could just go and get it myself, I would have! One saturday brunch, there was almost no one there, but it took 15 minutes to get our drinks (water, coke) and 30 to 40 minutes to get our lunch! (pizza, sandwich)! good thing my friend and I had a leisurely day planned and wanted time to catch up anyway....still though, the food was worth waiting for if you have the time. I think the prices are more than fair as well! you can pay a LOT more and get a LOT less (quality and quantity) in other Atlanta reataurants!

  • Pros: great food, good value for $
  • Cons: spotty service

Feast is the Opposite of Least!

by tedlester

Rare is the occasion when I can be lured away from the soft pleasures of nestling in front of "Grey's Anatomy" with my miniature Chow, Mr. Beeswax. But when visited by an old friend braying for delicious eats, time then to change out of my kimono and explore the streets of Decatur. Initially, the plan was to sample The Depaux, a converted train station now steeped in Cajun cuisine and poor spelling. A cursory glance of their menu, however, warned that even the tiniest meal would lead to gastreax surgery. They fry everything! Any sufferer of a salty bloodstream mustn't consume a meal that might lead to oneself being placed in the doggie bag!

Across the street sat a jewel beckoning in burnt sienna. I'd long heard of Feast, but hadn't made the trek. Why, oh why did I wait? Inside, a cozy nook of exposed brick and iron, flickering lights, and the largest wood burning oven this side of Hansel and Gretel greeted us. Seated in a raised portion of the restaurant, we gazed at the parade of handsome plates strutting past. Our server, lanky with a luscious beard, wittily steered us toward the finer points of the menu. When you go, start with the Blue Crab and Artichoke Dip. Each creamy bite delivered wave upon wave of narcotic bliss. It handily passed my patented "finger test," in that any dish that compels me to finger its remaining treasure ensures a return engagement.

After a well-timed break, the main courses arrived and, my word, they delivered. The Scallops were a trio of succulent orbs braised in bacon, a sweet demi-glace, and finished (seemingly) in an angel's tears. Tres tasty! And my friend's Ribeye was a slab of art, cooked to perfection and accompanied by a sublime mix of potatoes and mushrooms demanding acclaim. A tart miracle - the Key Lime Pound Cake - punctuated the best dinner I've had since the late nineties. Thank you Feast for your culinary skill and warmth. You can always Tivo "Grey's Anatomy." You can't Tivo the perfect meal (not yet, anyway).

Not worth going to.

by dandavis

I wouldn't go back. Just acceptable slow untrained service. VERY GREASY STEAK. Atmosphere is nice. After having our appetizers just a minute a food runner tried to give us someone else's dinners. Even if the dinners were ours, it was very unprofessional of her to try to give us meals when we had just started our appetizers. She walked away asking other tables if the food was theirs.

  • Pros: atmosphere
  • Cons: bad food, bad service
