The Corner Tavern has unusual and interesting food offerings---not your typical bar and grill fare. I think the cooks really ought to be called "chefs", and not in the least for the daily inventive cuisine specials! Personal favorites from the regular menu are: the Black Bean Burger (they've made it more tasty than any "real" burger I've ever had), the wonderful Tomato Basil soup, and the Hawaiian Chicken Salad---grilled chicken with awesome greens, grilled pineapple, and other fresh salad veggies... have the House Vinegrette for the very best taste! Many like the New York style fresh french fries---I personally don't care for them, but find their onion rings a great substitute for a side. As for the atmosphere... it's a laid-back, eclectic pub: not a rave date-hunting spot, but rather a place where you can relax, have fun, and be thoroughly welcomed by the friendly staff and weathered-but-retro surroundings. Honorable mention to the fact that they offer some unusual drinks, including Smithwick's (one of the finest red beers I've ever had, and very hard to find, even in liquor shops). If you want a date-hopping bar, try somewhere else---if you want your local pub where everyone hangs out to have fun, try here.
Pros: Consistent awesome food and drinks, great staff overall, atmosphere warm, cozy, and eclectic.
Cons: Staff changes may mean awesome or so-so wait service; give them another try if you get a newbie you don't like, the first time.
