First of all, I only get my hair cut once a year because I have yet to find a decent salon. Each year I try some place different and give them a shot and for the life of me they cannot get it right. Once I walked into the Art Hair Salon I thought wow, I'm pretty confident they're not going to screw it up. Although the girl at the front desk wasn't very friendly at all. I was taken back fairly quick and I have to say the lady doing my hair didn't speak English very well and I wasn't sure how that was going to go over. Afterwards when I was trying to describe what cut I wanted I found out that she didn't have very good knowledge of the current entertainment market. She didn't know who Jessica Alba was or Giselle Bundchen. All I wanted was for my cut to look like theirs and I specifically said "take NOTHING off of my length"... guess what happened.... I spent the next hour waiting for her to finish a cut that took off at least 5 inches of hair. She didn't understand that I said I wanted my top layer to start here.... not.... please cut my hair up to here and then put layers. But that is what I received. Granted it looked good, but it was definitely NOT what I wanted. Also upon walking out I noticed that they were offering wine to other guests but I was not offered any. I do not think I will be giving them another try.

Pros: The atmosphere was nice

Cons: Stylist didn't communicate well, no knowledge of current star hairstyles

From the moment i walked in the door, i felt like i finally found my salon!! I was greeted with a smile and treated with respect! Great customer service! Iam very picky about my hair and so it is very hard for me to relax while getting it done!! However, when i sat down in my chair i felt very comfortable and was truelly able to take this time to relax!! Alla, my styliest, was able to find me just the right color and added just the perfect amount of highlights! She also gave me the best hair cut! It is also very convient to take care of all my beauty needs in one place!! i was able to get a manicure and pedicure conviently after my hair cutt!! i recommend this salon to everyone!!

Consistently good hair and good mood. Ask for discount on new services, massage and facials very good deals - its worth trying! Aveda store inside finally next to my house.

Great short haircuts and color. Highlights by Alla - best in Atl. Great place to relax, drink some coffee ,watch some fashion on HD TV and always great music, while getting ur hair done. They also have cyberimaging for people (like me), who like to experiment, so u can see how you look with completely different hairstyle right away. nails, facials and hair at the same time. Saves me lots of time A+

Went in for the first time and by sheer luck ended up with Robyn (tall, new stylist) . All I can say is WOW!!! She took her time with me and REALLY listened to me- this is the best cut I have had...maybe ever!! I was SHOCKED to find out she was a new stylist. I am a client for life! Thanks Robyn!!!! Better hurry this girl will fill up fast:-)

Great service, incredible creativity, and at a good price! I always drove twice the distance to Van Michaels, which I still love, and paid at least twice the price. The Irene with the short hair does my hair (there are 2 Irenes). I found that they don't rush a cut, making sure it lays well even six weeks later. And I can maintain the look easily too (as opposed to other high-end places where the look is great when you walk out, but you can never get it to look that way again).

I absolutely love this salon, it is worth 1 hour drive! Rita is the best stylist there, she is great.

All the sylists that my fiancee and I have been to have been fabulous. For many years, I had the same cut and always asked other stylists to recommend a different cut with a little drama. Art Hair Salon finally did it. She recommended short layers instead of my long layers but still kept my overall length. My fiancee first started coming here after he decided to cut his long hair and go short. His hair looks so good, and they have styled it in various ways. I highly recommend Art Hair Salon.
