When I arrived, Michael greeted me with a warm smile and a firm handshake. I knew from his grip that I was in good hands. We sat down and went over my brief health history and any particular reasons why I came in that day. I explained that I was diabetic and on an insulin pump and Michael took it all in stride and made me feel comfortable. We came up with a game plan (as Michael put it: "search and destroy") and got started. Ninety minutes later I walked out feeling 25 pounds lighter with a stronger center and better range of motion. Having danced for years in college and sustained a range of injuries and treatment, I can honestly say that Michael represents the best that neuromuscular therapy has to offer. He found knots that I was unaware of and worked through them firmly while always checking to make sure I was comfortable with the pressure. Michael has proved to me that massage has direct and immediate benefits and instead of being viewed as a luxury should be viewed as preventative maintenance and care of the body. The insurance discount was amazing and the brief drive from Midtown is totally worth it! I will surely be a repeat visitor to Garden View!

Pros: Parking is plentiful. Location is convenient to Decatur, Emory, Avondale Estates and Midtown. Professional service with a flawless touch.

What a pleasure it is to recommend Michael to anyone seeking therapeutic services. Garden View Massage is much more than a massage practice, it is a true holistic health studio. Michael's knowledge of neuromuscular therapy is unmatched in Decatur. The products offered at Garden View are not superficial skincare products, they have real health benefits. I highly recommend the Echinacea herbal tea, and often suggest the Respiratory Tea Blend to friends with allergies. I cannot recommend Garden View highly enough.

Before I began seeing Michael, I suffered from tension headaches daily. My general practitioner had me trying various prescription medicines. None of these medications worked and one even gave me heart palpitations. I've been seeing Michael about six months now and I no longer have headaches. He is a miracle worker!

I'm a healthy, active 36 year old female. For 22 years I have had neck and shoulder muscle pain that in 2006 became debilitating to the point that I would be out of work with severe muscle spasms in my neck and shoulders for up to a week at a time. I thought I was on my way to surgery, but then I heard about Mike and gave him a try, and to this day I am amazed at how much better I feel. I'm back to living my life normally. Mike makes it very clear that he is a pain specialist. He spends the entire session exclusively on my tense muscles, identifying "knots" that I knew I had as well as discovering other "knots" I was unaware of, and he works them out one trigger point at a time. Over the years I have tried all kinds of therapy on my neck and shoulders, none of which resulted in long term pain relief, until Mike came along. If you have become resigned to musculosketal pain, I encourage you to give Mike a try. He has been a dream come true for me.

After one visit to Garden View, I'll never go anywhere else for a massage. Michael is super friendly, knowledgeable, and all around phenomenal! I couldnt have asked for a better massage experience, and I will recommend everyone I know to treat themselves to a trip to Garden View. I feel like a new woman after a customized hour massage and will be going back as often as possible. My only complaint is that the hour passed too quickly! You wont be disappointed!

It is nice to see in Decatur where day spas are a dime a dozen that there is a real massage therapist. I live in Midtown Atlanta, but Garden View's low rates were worth the drive. Seriously, I paid about half what others charge for an hour session, and the massage was a lot better.

Garden View Massage allows me to participate in the sprots I love.Without the skilled knowledge and practiced hands, I would be unable to climb stairs, much less run on the tennis courts. The professional environment, thoughtful service, and true attention to my needs produces a true massage experience for healing. Not to mention, I can use my health insurance plan without a physician's referral. I am so happy to have found Garden View. I am a huge fan.

I searched Citysearch to find a massage in Atlanta. I live in Midtown, I had many options available. I tried several "spa massages", and was left feeling like I could have had a friend perform a massage that was as good. I emailed Garden View. Not only were they friendly during the email process (real person emailing, not some automated response), they have discounts for health insurance. With Blue Cross/Blue Shield, I saved $20 on the regular massage rate for an hour. Even though I live in Midtown, I was happy to drive to Decatur for the savings (only 10 minutes away). Michael is strong, knowledgeable, and gives the best neuromuscular massage I have ever had in my life. We discussed an ongoing treatment plan that will have me receiving massage every two weeks (that's $90 a month, less than you pay for 1 hour at some spas).

Michael Hendrix has been my massage therapist for several months. From the first time he massaged me, I knew that I had found the right massage therapist-someone who was ethical, knowledgeable, personable and professional. Michael embodies all of these qualities and more. I have been so impressed with him that I bought gift certificates for all of my top employees. I have received massage services in many spas in Atlanta and elsewhere, but this session was like no other experience I've had. No silly fruity waters are served, no facials or makeup applications, just serious muscle work. I had never heard of a "trigger point" before this session, nor did I know that a deep tissue massage could seriously make a difference in the way my body feels and functions. After a single session, booked bvecause I could not move my neck to one side, I had complete movement again and bought a round of 5 massage sessions. I will be seeing Michael every 2 weeks. I feel like a new woman.

Pros: Great Hours, Great Prices, Great Therapist
