Excellent Food
by pinkladiebug06 at Citysearch
We absolutely love Fusco's. I work close and eat there at least 2-3 times a week. I love their daily specials. The soup of the day is always great and their hamburgers are excellent. The atmosphere is great and the staff is very attentive, without breathing down your neck. Great place to have lunch or dinner. The town where they are located has great shopping and great finds that you do not find in the local malls. It is a perfect way to spend an afternoon after eating a delicious meal. True Italian food at it's best.
- Pros: Excellent Italian Food, Great location
Great food, rude owner
by leblancsuz at Citysearch
My husband and I dined at Fusco's on February 7th. Once we got past the rude owner, we had a very pleasant experience. We had a 6 pm reservation, and the owner led us to a table, but we preferred a booth. When my husband went to check on a vacant booth, the owner very rudely tapped him on the back and abruptly said, "Sir, that booth is reserved for another party," turned around, and walked away. I suggest this establishment either start asking their customers when making a reservation if they prefer a booth or a table, or find somebody more pleasant to greet the customers. It's too bad the evening had to start off on a bad note, because after that, the service and food were outstanding.
Pretty setting, so-so food and service.

Four women recently walked in to Fusco's for an early dinner on a weekday. Only two other tables (a total of four other diners) were seated, and were already started on their appetizers. Nonetheless, we four waited for more than 15 minutes to get the attention of our waiter to come for our drink orders. Once given, the drinks took another 15 minutes to arrive. By this time, we were starving, but menus had not even been given to us. We asked for menus, raced through them to find something that could be prepared and served quickly. and once again hunted down the waiter. He finally acknowledged our presence so we placed our orders and asked for some bread. Ten minutes later...no bread. Fifteen minutes...no bread. Twenty minutes later...out came the entrees, followed 10 minutes after that by the bread. Other diners had finished and were waiting for their checks. They waited; we ate. As soon as the waiter handed over the check to the table next to us, we told him that we were ready for ours, too. (We weren't, really, but didn't want to endure another wait.) That proved to be good planning. When we were finished, we waited yet another 10 minutes for the check.
In the course of our stay, nobody came to ask how our food was, if we needed more water, another drink, wanted to see a dessert menu, etc.
Maybe we just caught the staff on a bad evening, as other people have told us their experience at Fusco's was great. Two of our foursome returned with their husbands about a month later and said the service had done a 180-degree turn from horrible to quite good. (From the makeup of the diners in that return trip, I'm now thinking that the magic word to summon servers in that place is "testosterone." Hey, that even SOUNDS italian; Fusco's should offer something such as "Testosteroni Ala Fusco, a delectable marriage of pasta and our secret sauce!")
Will I go back? Maybe. The restaurant is really quite pretty, and maybe the service HAS improved.
- Pros: Pretty setting in historic section of town.
- Cons: Abominable service.
Hip, European-style sophistication comes to Acworth!

Let's see...where should I begin? I just can't believe the good reviews of this place. It must be true that some folks don't care about how the food tastes just so long as there's a lot of it! I guess that either these folks are just plain uniformed, or they must either work for Fusco's Via Roma or they are friends of the owner. The food is only average AT BEST. If I was living in Acworth and had a choice between Krystals or this place, I'd most likely pick this place. I guess it comes down to a lack of choice in this town and a lack of sophisticated taste buds. A fool and his money are soon parted!
- Pros: Pretty place and it tries to be hip and cool
- Cons: folks who run this place don't know what they are doing! superficiality but no quality!
Delicious Food

I was skeptical of this restaurant when I read the reviews on here. They seem to be either glowing and full of exclamation marks (obviously written by the restaurants owners), or very critical. My skepticism was seemingly confirmed as soon as we entered, and the hostess couldn't find our reservation ("Did you talk to a guy?" she asked. Fire that guy.) After we were seated, we were told it was Frosty Friday, and all draft beers were offered at reduced price. 3 bucks or so isn't bad for a draft Peroni. We ordered soup, salad, and our entrees, and we were all pleasantly surprised. The soups were warm and delicious, and I ordered the Farfalle Diana, which made up for the use of boxed pasta with a delicious creamy tomato sauce and three HUGE scallops cooked perfectly. I finished off the scallops, and took home the rest of the pasta, which was delicious the next day for lunch. After a while, the place filled up, and got a little noisy. This is not your romantic Italian place. A good place for dinner with the family, or drinks at the bar with friends. The food is great, but service may miss the mark.
- Pros: Food was delicious, good drink specials.
- Cons: Lost reservation, parking is difficult, can get noisy.
I've had better meals at Waffle House
by grllvs2eat at Citysearch
The owner was very nice and accomodating. The server was clueless. The food was terrible. I've had better canned spaghettios. Honestly. The salad was pathetic. A few lettuce leaves with two croutons. The broccoli rabe was recommended and it tasted like i sauteed some weeds from my backyard. The pasta rivarra was recommended and it was dry, flavorless and cold. The bruschetta was the best part of the meal, yet the tomato garnish had soaked into the ends of the bread leaving much to be desired. I spent $20 including tip and my friend and I had split the bill. We shared our broccoli (EUUUEWWW) rabe, pasta dish which we each had about 4 bites of, and the side salads and bruschetta. we both drank water. and the bill was $35. Waffle house, here i come. If you're going to dine for a romantic special occasion or just to take the family and enjoy a fabulous italian meal, from everything from appetizer and wine to dessert and coffee, i HIGHLY recommend Ippolitos. Great food for the money and you'll leave with your doggie bag fantasizing about having leftovers for lunch the next day.
Not that great and overpriced for what you get

Nice atmosphere and service, that was about it. Non seasoned calamari, very bland stuffed mushrooms, extremely salty spinach, Expensive veal ($23.95 for a dish so smothered in ground mustard sauce that you could have had any thing under it and still think it was veal), and Stouffers makes better lasagna. Not worth the $65 dollar bill, especially since we did not have drinks.
- Pros: Nice atmosphere
- Cons: poorly flavored and sauced food
Mediocre Italian

My wife and I tried Fusco's per a recommendation from our friends. We had been craving mussels since moving to the greater Atlanta area so we figured we'd try them at Fusco's. First, the ambiance is very nice. A fairly romantic spot in downtown Acworth. Second, I was impressed that they had three varieties of Sweetwater beer on tap. Kudos to supporting the local brewery! We did not have wine that night, but the list was certainly adequate. The pineapple martini my wife had was below average, unfortunately. The mussels mostly tasted fresh and the sauce was good, however about one-third were unopened and they put bread at the bottom which sopped up all the sauce. The price-tag on the mussels was around $12 which we thought was a bit much for a handful and many unopened. My wife had the fettuccine alfredo with chicken that was only fair; not as creamy as others we've had. I had a sausage and pepper sandwich which I thought was quite tasty, but pretty safe. We did not opt for dessert. Overall a nice ambiance with only average food. Our friends have been back at least once... We will not likely return.
- Pros: Ambiance
- Cons: Slow service and average food
Actual Real Italian food served up with style and class!

We live nearby and everytime we drive past, we drool and look longingly. From the first day when we tasted their tomato bisque soup to the birthday dinner we had recently, we never tire of this place. Every single dish is just amazing. The owners are Italian and tend to their customers personally. One evening they served a free wine just to taste it. I recommend this place to anyone who gets tired of corporate Italian and wondering where the money goes. We know right where it goes, straight to the family preparing the meals and they deserve every penny! Teresa in Acworth
- Pros: Ambience, service, coziness, amazing dishes
- Cons: Just a tad pricey but worth it.
All time favorite Italian food restaurant! Terrific!

Fuscos has become our favorite restaurant with us frequenting there at least once a week. It is "our" place for my husband an me. A place to escape the pressures and stresses of the day! A very relaxing atmosphere with friendly staff and delicious food! Over the past year we have tried just about everything on the menu, and not even once have we been disappointed! Therefore, I refrain from suggesting any one particular dish! Every item is lovingly and carefully prepared with a wonderful freshness that is evident in every bite! This is a place where the customer is "king"! The owner and staff go out of the way to meet every need and exceed expectation! They have a reasonable price list, and just about anything you could want from an authentic Italian restaurant! We are always pleased to brag about Fuscos to our friends and relatives and always meet the nicest people dinning in the restaurant. It's a special place I believe after one visit you will agree! Good luck for continued success to Fuscos! Sharon
- Pros: Deilicious food, great atmosphere, polite & friendly service!
