St Patty's Day LETDOWN!!!!!
by rhayne at Citysearch
A group (10) of us went to this place to celebrate St. Patricks Day. It felt like this Irish Pub was caught off guard by the whole St. Patricks Day celebration. It seemed like they were the last to know that 3/17/09 was St. Patricks Day. There were 10 of us and we were placed at a table that would seat 10 people but we were only given five chairs! The manager/owner was extremely rude! We simply asked if we could have some more chairs for our table and he responded by telling us that we cannot take chairs from other tables. What?! We were not trying to take chairs from other tables, we just wanted chairs for our table. Then he continued seating parties that came in way after us. Then they only had two waitresses and like two bartenders and the place was packed! Because of this, it took a ridiculously long time for us to get our drinks and food. The waitress, Tiffany, tried her best. She was really cool and kept apologizing. Eventually we left but this was after they got over $400.00 from our table alone. They would have gotten a lot more if they were better staffed and knew how to treat their customers. Needless to say they will not see us on St. Patricks Day ever again.
- Pros: The waitress was cool
- Cons: The owner/manager sucked!!
delicious fish and chips

I agree with all the other reviewers. Great fish and chips and good beer selection. My sister and I had a great time!
Best Fish & Chips in ATL. Period!
by jaymaygm at Citysearch
Everytime I visit my doctor's office at Emory/Crawford Long, I walk over one street to this little jewel. I'm a big Fish & Chips fan, and O'Terrill's hands down is the best. What a piece of fresh fish. And those homemade chips are to die for. Not frozen French Fries you find elsewhere for chips. And the staff is wonderful, not to mention the very nice owner with a big smile on his face. As long as I can make it to my doctor, I will make it to O'Terrill's.
- Pros: Fish & Chips, Great Service, Nice Owner!
- Cons: Parking can be tricky, but I just walk over!
GREAT choice for my clients!

I just got back from a convention in Atlanta, and just happened across this spot while I was there... GREAT! GREAT! GREAT! GREAT!
The waitress made sure our water glasses stayed full (which wasn't too hard because she kept our BEER glases full, too!!!).
An Irish pub isn't usually the first choice for doing business, but I will keep bringing my clients there time and time again when I visit Atlanta!
- Pros: LOCATION!, SERVICE!
- Cons: off the regualr path
Great Food and Great Time
by nyu728 at Citysearch
Came upon this place walking from our hotel (hilton) looking for a place the locals hang out. As luck would have it, we got lost, but found Oterrills. Seems everyone was having fish and chips, so I tried it. Terrific. So was the burger. Good beer and drink prices, but I'm from NYC so everything in atlanta seems cheap, except the taxis.
- Pros: fish and chips, smoking @ bar, close to hotel
- Cons: not in NYC
Midtown's Secret is OUT!!!!

If you have not been to O'Terrill's, well you are in the dark. The have one of the best places to hang out with friends, have a drink and well the food. Let's just say it is so good that I eat there several times a week. I recommend the Fish & Chips and BBQ.
There is always something going on at O'Terrill's. They have put an incredible place in midtown and well I am letting the cat out of the bag......go tonight. Ask for Paul, I might even be sitting at the bar....Come prepared to have FUN!
- Pros: Fun, Food, Friends
- Cons: Very Busy, Parking
Our favorite bar downtown
by lisat582 at Citysearch
We love O'Terrills and go there a lot. Great food. We're crazy about the night bartender - an Englishman in an Irish bar? But he's the best! Love the weekend Jager shot. The owners are really nice and make everyone feel like part of their family. Best hot dog in Atlanta
- Pros: Free Jukebox, Great Jukebox, Lots of Draft Beers
- Cons: Jkbx not always free, Gary only at night
Good Time in Midtown
by sandrews730 at Citysearch
We kept reading about the fish and chips and how they're voted the best in Atlanta. Couldn't image. Now we can. They were phenomenal. Couldn't finish it because it is such a huge amount. We went on a Monday thinking it wouldn't be too busy, but it was. Everyone was playing bar bingo. It was free so we played, and won $10, so my dinner ended up almost free. Cool. Can't beat that. My boyfriend had chili and they give little bags of fritos with all the toppings. Never dipped chili with fritos before. Really good chili and the fritos made it even better. We'll go back.
- Pros: food, I won $10, friendly people
- Cons: can't think of one
Great neighborhhood pub/restaurant
by danoneill at Citysearch
We heard about this place from a friend, gave it a try, and have been back again often. It has very 'cozy' feel, like a real neighborhood bar and restaurant. The food is great, with some distinctive items, including homemade chips (great with the fish), and special desserts. They have lots of imported beers on tap, like a good pub. The Irish theme gives it fun-loving atmosphere, but they also serve lots of American-style food, like wings, BBQ, and southwestern items. Friendly staff. Good value.
- Pros: Cozy atmosphere, Interesting menu, Good value
- Cons: Could get crowded
