still the coolest restaurant in atlanta
by deblee3 at Citysearch
this place has great food, great wines, and neat atmosphere. the appetizers are all really good, especially the lamb and tuna. we went here for my bachelorette party 5 years ago and we still go all the time now. it's the best!
- Pros: atmosphere
- Cons: none
waiting for a table can be hell there
by JessicaNancy at Citysearch
The place was not special. So loud you can not hear the person next to you. My husband and I went there with 16 people for a 9pm reservation. It was my son's girlfriend's birthday celebration, but by 10:15 pm, we were still not seated. My husband and I had to leave as we had to work the next morning, but my son told us that they were finally seated at 10:25. It is very poor business to accept a 9pm reservation and not be able to keep it. For the inconvienence, my son's party should have been offered something - they were not. Not even an apology. With all the amazing restaurants in Atlanta there is no need to ever go to this one.
- Pros: none
- Cons: you could die waiting
Ruined the evening

I planned an evening out for my sisters bachelorette party a month in advance. We had our reservation a month in advance! I love this place. However, from the time we get there, the valet guys were so rude and unprofessional, the hostess was very rude. We waited 45 minutes for our reservation, our entrees came out with out receiving our appetizers. The waiter was not apologetic..."do you still want them?". I talked to the manager about it and was very nice about it. HE DID NOTHING FOR US. He said "ok come back, but write me an email 1st so i remember who you are, and Ill take care of you"...righhht. Why not take care of us now?! I've spent so much money at that place. Then, on top of everything we asked the valet for a cab, which took 40minutes. He said the rest has cabs waiting in front and that he called one. 40minutes later when the cab drove up i realized he had just been sitting in the parking lot and the valet never even called him. What else could have possibly happened? 2 OF THE GIRLS WHO HAD THE SAME DISH THREW UP FROM IT...and no it wasn't from the alcohol. HORRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE!
- Pros: great food, atmosphere
- Cons: valet, hostess, waiter, manager
Unique place with great food

Two Urban Licks is trendy, sure, but the food is good enough to make it a place I would go over and over again. The salmon chips sound weird but DEFINITELY merit a try. They are very different but delicious. We had swordfish - fabulous and tuna - a bit too spicy and the cupcake trio for dessert. I was also pretty impressed with the price tag considering the type of dining. Though not cheap, it is pretty reasonable for a trendy hotspot.
The only major issue we had was that we were put on a waiting list despite having reservations. Several tables were seated ahead of us even though their reservation times were later than ours - not sure what that was about.
- Pros: excellent fish, neat menu choices
- Cons: loud, dark, not very cozy

Cool vibe--yummy food and good looking people! I love this place. If you want to eat, you will probably need a reservation.
- Pros: Great Food and Drinks!
- Cons: Loud
Very Loud, Noisy...Not a good "Date" choice.

after hearing alot of Good and Bad things about Two Urban Licks, I decided to jump at the opportunity to meet some friends for Dinner. While the set-up is very nice...you literally have to scream as you conversate w/ the your party. I'm not sure what causes this, but I definitely do not like restaurants in which everything is Loud and Noisy. It was very difficult to hear each other at the table due to the surrounding noise. The Fried Calamari is Wonderful, but extremely overpriced at $9 for a small portion. If your considering this restaurant for a intimate date....bad choice...unless your comfortable w/ texting each other. You definitely wont be able to hear each other.
- Pros: Excellent Location and Superb Calamari
- Cons: Very, Very Pricey for the current Economy

Went here with a group of friends for my 23rd Birthday... Had a blast the valet parking was very nice and the food was excellent. i had the shrimp tacos and duck which came with sweet potatoes, the drink menu is great as well. The resaurant is dim lighted which is very romantic, and the view of the city is to die for. Can not wait to go again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
