Went to TWO (as those in the know call it) for the um-teenth time and realized I needed to tell the world how great a place it is. I started going when Scott Serpas was the chef and fell in love with the scallops & gouda grits, as well as EVERYTHING else on the menu. Now that Cameron Thompson is the chef and his food stands the test, it's so bold! Our server, Doug, was totally attentive and antipcipated our needs...like re-filling my wine glass quickly! My fiance ordered the duck, It's stuffed with Italian sausage. We're of the mind that pork fat make everything better. I got the beef ribs, there special for the night. I've never even seen beef ribs on a menu that's not a BBQ joint, they rocked! The chef served them with a home made potato salad and it had a succulent thyme-honey glaze. The place was hopping & everyone was all smiles. The live band seemed to catch the attitude of the staff and they were kicking! Everyone needs to experience TWO. The food, atmosphere and staff are all stellar!!!
Pros: Awesome food for an awesome atmosphere
Cons: what cons?

A warehouse made cozy with pillows in most tables and booths. The restaurant is very high energy on the weekends with great food and live jazz music Tuesday through Saturday. The food is so unique and delicious. Odd and unfamiliar ingredients are paired together and come out tasting delicious, some ingredients from the chefs garden out back. There may be a lot of negative reviews but I believe that is because this restaurant is not for everyone. If you want something quiet and serene try coming earlier in the night and avoid Friday and Saturday. This place is great to bring out-of-towners or business friends. The old telephone factory warehouse turned restaurant has fabric chandaliers and a large Todd Murphy painting that make up the funky and eclectic interior. There is a courtyard with a retractable roof with trees in the center, along with a great patio that comes with a view of the city skyline. Feel free to walk in and grab a table or sit at the chef's counter or cocktail tables in the bar area. Reservations can be made at OpenTable and make getting in the door on some nights much smoother. Drinks are great here! Infusions hang above the bar made from different liquors and fresh fruit, or try some of the 42 different keg wines. This may be one of the few places you can order a PBR or a wonderful bottle of wine from the reserve list.
Pros: EVERYTHING
Cons: NONE

Wow, If you have an open mind and just want to enjoy everything, this is the place to go. The food was amazing. I took the writes up on this sites advise and arrive earily for the reservations. My wife and I were actually seated earily. I fugures this would be a great way of remembering our 21 Aniversury. We left the wine and food up to the waiter. WOw. We had salmon chips, watermelon and tomatoe salad and the most amazing steak I have every had. The service and food would rival any four star establishment in Atlanta. The deserts still needed some work. Warning: If your up tight, have a corn cob up your a$$ and don't want a great environment, then you might not like it here. Ignore the outside appearance. Take a chance and see> My wife loved it and boy am I glad. hehehe Your wont regret it. and the price is amazing for the high standard the place on their food.
Pros: FOOD FOOD FOOD WOW
Cons: DESERT and outside appearance.

I made a reservation and still ended up waiting over an hour to be seated. I was extremely frustrated, however once my party was seated, we had a great time. Our server was awesome and the food was delicious!!! One of my favorite restaurants excluding the wait time!
Pros: Excellent Food
Cons: Poor wait time and hostesses were not very friendly

I visited this place with my sister while staying in Atlanta for a few days. We were dissappointed when we arrived within 30 minutes (after calling to make a reservation and told we would be seated right away) only to be told that the wait was about 1.5hrs ?? We were about to walk out, but informed them we would not have come if they were honest about the wait time and lo and behold!! We were seated immediately!! Other than the seemingly unorganized seating accommodations that started things off on a bad note, I had a pleasant time. I ordered the steak with mac and cheese. The mac & cheese was great, but I did not enjoy the steak. It came with a dark sauce that had a strange after taste. Our server was great and I thought she was very friendly and informative. A pleasant environment and the live blues band was enjoyable too for a late Friday evening.
Pros: Great atmosphere, live blues band, pleasant outside seating
Cons: Seemed a little unorganized, only 3 facilities for the womens rooms

Well I visited this place for a birthyday dinner and was very excited to see what it was like. The ambiance was nice and the band was alright, but that's where the compliment end. We had 9:00 reservations, did not get seated until 10:17. I understand b/c I use to manage a restuarant so I know things can happen so we all looked past it. After we were finally seated we ordered apps. and drinks, I had the salmon chips they were decent, they were fully loaded w/ salmon so that was a good thing, I ordered the skirt steak for dinner and was told by the server it was his favorite on the menu and highly recommended, it was disgusting, there was a green sauce spread over it which I was told was just garlic, olive oil, and parsley for the color, I don't know how many people he told that to, but I know food and seasoning and sauces, and that's not what it was. I normally don't send food back, but in this case there was no other choice, we had a party of 20 and atleast 10 sent their food back. Later I heard the our server telling another person that a different dish was his favorite and highly recommended, I guess that's just a part of his greeting. After sending my food back, I got the Shrimp taco's instead, and they were very good. If you're looking for a place with a nice, romantic ambiance, and only planning on drinking then this is the place for you, but if you're looking for somewhere to have a nice romantic dinner DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!!!!!
Pros: AMBIENCE, BAR, LIVE BAND
Cons: FOOD, SERVICE

WOW! Had the opportunity to discover this place on a trip to Atlanta from MN. I had the American shrimp (and shared several appetizers and desserts with friends). Great southern and european style cuisine in a trendy, but casual atmosphere. Amazing view of the downtown skyline, great service, and an overall positive experience. The menu is printed daily...so next time I'm down in Atlanta...2 Urban Licks will be a dinner stop for me! Go here...you will not be disappointed!

The decor is beautiful. It has a beautiful view of the city as well. However, the food was mediocre at best. It was disappointing. I don't mind spending a lot for dinner, but I expect it to be good when I do. Also, the hostess tried to lie and act like we weren't going to get a seat based on not having a reservation, but another guy came right up and gave us a pretty good seat. It's more hype than delicious.
Pros: Nice view and attractive environment
Cons: Food wasn't great and it was too loud

My husband and I love Two. We have been there at least half a dozen times, and each and every experience has been wonderful. The people are fantastic, and the food is always delicious! We've taken large parties of people and just a few, and regardless, we always have the very best service. Its one of our favorite places to dine.
Pros: Really great food!
Cons: A little hard to find. But, signs are very visible.

Two. urban licks is yet another example of a decent restaurant that generates the buzz of a great restaurant. Buzz is no substitute for quality, though. The inattention to details is what keeps it from being great--take their bread for instance. Do they think that they can make store-bought bread taste homemade simply by heating it in their giant spaceship warmer thingie and then slathering it with some kinda garlic butter stuff you could get at Ryan's steakhouse? Again, consider the mussel appetizers. They give you a lot, but fail to remove the "beard" before cooking. Pay attention to details. Nobody likes to eat beards in their seafood. There was nothing about the food here that set it apart from Applebees. I find it hard to believe that they actually have a chef over-seeing the work of the minimum wage employees they so proudly display for the world to see.
Pros: It's big.
Cons: It feels like an airplane hangar.
