The remodeled space is gorgeous, great wine list, beautiful patio.
If you haven't gone definately check it out, I think they've almost worked out the new restaurant kinks. They offer a great deal with 50%off bottled wine/glass on Mondays :) and other specials throughout the week.
- Pros: Free Parking, Patio, Wine list
- Cons: Not alot of parking

- Cons: parking lot full
Flawless dining experience
by elizabeth_law at Citysearch
I hadn't been to VINE for a while and was a bit discouraged when I read the Citysearch review. But I decided to give it a try anyway and it was MARVELOUS! They have a new menu that is American with a Mediterranean twist. Lots of small plates, cheeses, cured meats, side dishes, and so much more. I had tomato dusted pomme frites, zucchini fries, and this really unique dish with beluga lentils and hearts of palm. Everything was awesome! My boyfriend had a lobster small plate and a short rib small plate, both of which were amazing too. I also had a delicious watermelon mojito. Our server was knowledgeable, polite, and articulate. The overall experience was flawless. All I can say is Citysearch needs to go back and try VINE again!
- Pros: Great service, tasty food, reasonable prices
- Cons: none
Exceptional dinning experience
by lawrelm1 at Citysearch
Valentine's Day was certainly capped off with a dinning experience at Vine. It was a bit cozy from a table spacing perspective, but that kind of adds to the charm. The artwork and hardwoods create a warm and inviting feeling, and the wine list was exceptional. The staff was more than helpful with suggestions from wine to dinner. Our reservations were for 9:15, but after arriving early for a drink, the staff was able to seat us at 8:45 (and on a holiday no less). The food was amazing, and offered great range in selections (from venison and quail to the staple chicken/steak/pork) spanning price range from $14 to $30 per entree. And with parking in the Highlands such a premium, I'd say this definitely warrants a re-visit to Vine!! Definitely recommended for ambience as well as cuisine.
- Pros: Food Selection, Food Quality, Ambience
- Cons: Tables close together, V-Day=not 1/2 $ wine
Valentine's Dinner
by nyctraveler at Citysearch
My girlfriend and I were in Atlanta for Valentine's and found Vine to be a great restaurant. The menu is amazing and the wine selection is robust. The entrees were just the right-size, not overly large like chain restaurants or family-style, but not skimpy like many restaurants trying to give the air of fine-dinning. The executive chef blends in lots of great ingredients one doesn't see everyday. My meal was fantastic with a chicken with stuffed crab, it had a great seafood flavor without being overpowering. Vine reminded me a lot of Olives in Boston/NY but the menu was straighforward with only one goal in mind, present a selection of food to enjoy and remember. Beyond the food the service was very pleasant, and we got a nice romantic table against the wall. All in all I would recommend Vine to anyone, looking for a nice meal and good wine.
- Pros: Wine, Menu, Service
Wonderful Discovery!!
by abarclay99 at Citysearch
What a wonderful new restaurant. Secluded in one of the tiny alcoves of VA Highlands, this restaurant was exquisite. We made reservations and were sat immediately by an extremely kind hostess in a romantic niche in the restaurant. The service was attentive and the food was AMAZING - my boyfriend and I are both in food service and were immensely impressed with the portion size, value and presentation - Not to forget the TASTE was mouth watering and complimented by their killer martinis. I highly recommend VINE to anyone - local or visiting - looking for a new favorite atlanta restaurant. I'm taking everyone I know from now on!
- Pros: value, ambiance, FOOD
We Love Vine!!!
by jadw3 at Citysearch
Vine is a very welcome edition to Virginia Highlands dining. The best compliment I can give any restaurant is,"When I eat here I feel like I am on a great vacation!" Both the hospitality and the food at Vine is exceptional. Paul Jordan, the Proprietor, has created a very warm and cozy dining atmosphere. David Maini, the Executive Chef, has created a menu worthy in my opinion of any 5 Star Hotel but at very reasonable prices. The bartenders and the servers are very outgoing, knowledgeable and friendly. I strongly recommend their Filet Mignon, New York Strip and their Ahi Tuna. Already Vine is attracting local Virginia Highlanders as the new restaurant not to be missed.
- Pros: Great Value, Great Service, Good Parking
A Very Nice Meal
by lifefabric at Citysearch
My girlfriend and I visited VINE for the first time a couple weeks ago for Sunday brunch and were very pleased. The food and service were excellent, and the atmosphere was cosy and romantic (even on a Sunday morning!). Because of this positive experience, we are going back this coming weekend to check out their dinner for my birthday. We're excited...
- Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere

Crash and burn
by eatingismyliving at Citysearch
What kind of restaurant is Vine? You can not tell by the menu. The food is like banquet portions. Small and tasteless. They have glasses with their name printed on them like chain restaurants do like Olive Garden and Dennys. The place just does not fit the Highlands any more. They try to get people in the door to offset their way over priced menu by running nightly specials which is obviously not working. People like specials, but only if the base restaurant was good. Trying to offer a deal to a bad situation, only makes it a little less painful when you swear never to go back. The restaurant itself is not well maintained. The plants are mostly dead, tables broken and candles where some are lighted and some are not. And how can I forget, instead of playing pleasant dinner music they have a radio station playing through the speakers. Sadly they are trying anything to bring people back to the restaurant, they even had an out of tune singer that played way too loud for an empty restaurant.
