Fabulous!!
by judym242
Sweet Lime is a fabulous!! I went for a corporate event and had such a great time that I took girlfriends there the other night. The food is amazing! High quality and flavorful, especially the sushi. (Recommended: Rainbow and Scallop Roll) It's got a cozy atmosphere with dim lights and funky music. The waiters are friendly and casual, and the bartender (Arnie) is hilarious! There's a pretty good variety of dishes too (Thai, Korean, rice, noodles, seafood, vegetarian) so a great place for groups like us who want different things. The best part is that THEY SELL BUBBLE TEA! It's not on the menu but don't miss the small counter on the way in. Two thumbs up Sweet Lime!
- Pros: Bubble Tea, Atmosphere, Variety of Dishes
- Cons: No sushi bar to sit at
Great sushi, really bad service
by atlantalee
The sushi was excellent, atmosphere is nice, but the experience was ruined by the unbelievably bad service we received from our waiter. We went on a Saturday night, and there were only about 5 tables including us. It seemed like the server was waiting for us to get our food before he brought our drinks, which we eventually had to ask for. When I clumsily spilled my water, I was not brought another glass. I asked for one a little later, but eventually had to go to the bar to get it myself. Our sushi was wonderful, but it wasn't until after we finished that I remembered we had ordered edamame as well. Shouldn't that have come before the meal? I mean, it was on the appetizer menu. So, we had our overly salted edamame, some of which tasted like they had been cooked twice, for dessert. I would actually go back for the sushi, but I'll probably get it to go.
- Pros: Sushi, Cozy Atmosphere
- Cons: Service
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
by misterfoodster
This place is friggin awesome!! My girlfriend and I had heard of it but we never knew it was in Little Five until we walked by it the other day. We stopped in for lunch and had the most amazing meal ever!! We ordered the cheese rolls and edemame to start and then Pad Thai (chicken & shrimp) and sushi (Volcano Roll, Pacific Roll). It was incredible! I highly recommend the cheese rolls. They're not cheesesticks like I was expecting... they're spring-roll like and are served with this sweet and sour sauce. And the sushi... probably the best we've ever had in Atlanta. You would think that a "Thai and Sushi" place like this has to be expensive and fancy, but this place proves you wrong!! Overall, this place is highly recommended!
- Pros: Cheese rolls, Sushi, Pad Thai
- Cons: Drafty near the door
This is my place and yours too!

Sweet Lime is the best place for me. More than 4 years that I came here almost every weekend with a group of my friends. Their staffs are nice and friendly . This is the best place I recommend. If you come to little five points and did not visit Sweet Lime, you are missing something!
- Pros: Atmosphere, price and value
- Cons: Close early..10PM
Great vibe, Excellent food!
by atlfoodnwine
Sweet Lime was great!! I took my coworkers shopping in Little Five, and we stopped here for dinner. We ended up with a table full of Pad Thai, Yum Beef, and Sushi -- all of which was packed with flavor and came in generous portions. We ended up lounging there for about two hours -- it's a relaxed, low-key atmosphere with funky chill music. The waiters are dressed casually, but they're attendant and seemed to recognize a lot of customers by name. This local place is highly recommended!!
The best Thai & sushi restaurant in L5P
by easygoes
Good & tasty food, Good prices and Good services. This is the first time I dined in this place before the show time at Variety Play House. This place was packed and full house with waiting list but they gave us ( party of 6) the best services with tasty food in a limited time that available. All of us agreed that we will come back some other times and will enjoy having dinner here again and again.
- Pros: Services, Prices , Value, location
Inconsistent
by olafatl
In a word, inconsistent. I love the spicy Tilapia Basil with ground chicken, it's one of my favorite dishes of all the restaurants in this neighborhood. But other dishes are just plain bad (Pad Thai, much of the Sushi). I don't mind the low-key environment, I prefer relaxed to stuffy. So if all of the menu items were as good as the Tilapia, I would give this place a few more stars.
- Pros: Some really excellent dishes (Tilapia, Coconut Soup)
- Cons: Lack of consistency, Recently raised prices
SOMEBODY SEAT THESE PEOPLE !
by meriamss
Alright, I'm no sushi snob, trust me. I'm a very down to earth, open minded diner. So when I enter a place that i am willingly ready to hand over my hard earned money in exchange for some good food and possibly good service, I really don't think it's wise for a hostess to yell, "SOMEBODY SEAT THESE PEOPLE!" first thing upon entering your establishment.
I should have taken that as a hint, but we decided to give it a shot despite it's 70's basement rec room "interior". But, not even at the moment we were seated at a dirty table in what smelled like a hamper did my partner and i want to leave. We kept our minds open and decided to just get some bubble tea. Perhaps thee WORST bubble tea i have ever had, with what seemed like stale tapioca pearls (is that even possible?).
Oh well, moving on. The menu was extensive, but we wanted sushi. I asked our server if there were any specials that day, and he hands me a dollar menu. Ok, so we figured on Mondays they try to get rid of last week's old fish by selling it for a dollar. Sushi for a dollar? Bad sign!!! So, we stuck to the normal menu and steered away from what could possibly be old fish. Nice try, but no go.
Not only did the waiter bring me an extra roll of sushi i did NOT order ( i think he was really high), but charged us for it. And these prices are not any less than any "haughty" sushi establishment, and we didn't even get an inspiring interior, decently presentable dinnerware, a table that wasn't made out of stuffed vinyl , and possibly some respect!
After unsuccessfully trying a piece of every roll we ordered and gagging at the bite of older sashimi we received, we decided we needed a drink! Scanning the martini menu, we decided to try the Godzilla, a mixture of sake, Midori and grenadine. The mixed parts were off because it tasted like cough syrup!
At this point we threw in our chop sticks, dreadfully asked for the check and quickly left in a disgusted low.
DO NOT EAT HERE!
- Pros: convenient location
- Cons: everything else
Best Kept Secret!
by cosmopolitan23
This place is by far the best kept secret in Atlanta!! I'm new to metro area but have always been a longtime sushi fan, so my husband and I have been trying different restaurants in Atlanta since we moved here about a year ago. To be honest, I had never heard of Sweet Lime until my friend mentioned it, but we went last weekend and it was SO good!! It's small and tucked away in Little Five points, but let me tell you -- the sushi is extremely fresh and the service was superb! It had a real down-to-earth vibe, nothing fake and 'fancy' about it. Our waiter was prompt with our orders and our glasses were never empty. We originally couldn't decide between two different wines, but she even went out of her way to let us sample them to help us decide. All in all, this place was great -- it is an experience must!!
If you love crackheads, it's the best!

Don't. Bother.
My friends and I have eaten sushi since we were in grade school -- in New York, in LA, overseas, and all around Atlanta. Sweet Lime is, without doubt, the worst experience any of us has had in a sushi restaurant. The service was APPALLING. I'm pretty easy-going with servers -- if you get the order wrong, I don't feel the need to kick and scream, just make it right. If you forget a drink, it's not gonna cost you your tip, I'm just going to ask for it again, nicely.
This place -- namely, our server -- upset me enough to leave zero dollars, zero cents. I considered asking for a refund on the bill, too.
Our water came out in sporadic amounts of one or two glasses (TWENTY! minutes late) when there were six of us at the table. Our cocktails came out wrong, came out half an hour after we ordered (and there were only three other tables with customers), or didn't come out at all.
This server stared at us as we ate, walked off in the middle of an order, neglected our requests for water, and spoke so quietly that none of us could hear what he was talking about. We had to go to the bar to get the remaining glasses of water.
The kicker was, he STOOD OVER US after handing our bill and credit cards back to us. WATCHING to see what we tipped. I put my pen down and waited for him to leave, and he KEPT COMING BACK every 30 seconds to try and take the bill from my hand.
Height of rudeness, height of neglect, height of CREEPINESS, and the sushi was rubbery and stale.
The red velvet martini's pretty decent. You know, if it actually shows up to your table.
Go to Aiko, go to Zuma, go to freaking Ru San's over this absolutely hole of mediocrity. And trust me, mediocrity is putting it nicely.
