No margaritas required!

I had thought about getting a brazilian bikini wax for a while, but always hesitated because it sounded so painful. When my friend raved about Sejal, I finally decided to take the plunge. I was so nervous that I made my friend drive me so we could go across the street and get margaritas first--alcohol has to help, right? Well, as it turned out, I was running late and we had to skip the drinks. The whole thing went a lot better than I expected -- Sejal talked me through it, and somehow made the experience comfortable. She is really caring and does quality work. I'm hooked!

I WOULD LIKE TO EXPOSE A LIE FROM ANOTHER REVIEW

First I would like to address the lie from the review stating the facility was dark and Sajal missed hair. It is obvious to me that the paticular person writing the review is not telling the truth. Sajal's set up actually has a light (similar to the one the gynecologist uses). She is very precise with her work, as well as she informs the clients what to expect during the stages of hair growth (my friends and I see her for our brazilian waxes) In addition during there are some occasions due to hair growth (beyond her control) she allows a touch up the following week for free) I have been going for over a year. It is well worth the cost and drive. I can not help but to think the negative review Sajal was given was published by someone in competition for business.

Rockin' Hair Cuts!

Toni Ruff at Salon Me is at the Top of her game! She's an expert hairstylist and technician in the Sahag method of cutting hair. My hair is thick, course and wavy - which has always been a challenge- but

Toni is the first to ever know how to cut it into the styles I want and make it work!

And the bonus is that the growing out stage is painless. I get compliments even when I'm way overdue for another cut! I highly reccommend Toni to anyone who wants to walk away completely satisfied.

* SALON ME is a hidden gem in the Amsterdam Shopping Center off Monroe Drive. The staff are friendly and professional. I always look forward to the next cut & color with Toni or spa service with Sejal

Best Brazilian Wax Experience By Far With Sejal

I had my first Brazilian wax experience with Sejal on July 31 2008 for my 25th birthday. Sejal made the experience as comfortable as possible for me; she was very nice and got the job done quickly and accurately. The process only took 15 minutes which was great with such a painful procedure. Since that day I've only gone to Salon Me to see Sejal for my Brazilian wax needs.

• Pros: A smooth, clean and new look for your partner/spouse.
• Cons: Temporary pain during the procedure and sensitivey to the area that last for at least a few hours.

Best at getting the cut YOU want

Becka at Salon Me is amazing. She listened to what I wanted and delivered 200%. I wanted layers and instead of using a technique (running the scissors through my hair instead of cutting the ends) so many stylists have used on me in the past (i think to cut time) that kills the ends of my hair, she cut it layer by layer. It's been 2 days and I still wake up like it's Christmas morning! I'm so happy with my hair right now. I will definitely be heading back in 4-6 weeks! Thanks Becka!!!!

• Cons: they don't answer the phone but they do return calls! sometimes the owner even calls you back

It took me 3 years of searching in Atlanta for a great salon, and I found it! Salon Me & Medspa is the bomb, and I have been a loyal patron for over 2 years. The biggest reason I have been so loyal? My stylist Toni! Not only is she extremely talented with cut and color, she is also a genuinely nice person with a great sense of humor. And no trip to Salon Me would ever be complete without seeing Steve at the front desk. Armed with his own sense of humor, he makes every visit to the salon fun! So make an appointment, and you won't be sorry!

• Pros: A very talented staff, without the snobbery.
• Cons: There are non!

Monika Sullivan is the lady you go to if you want the best of the best. Ive been seeing her for a very long time. Her salon was once located about an hour from me...but that in no way stopped me from seeing the best. Monika is so skilled so can give you the most beautiful red, blond, brown or anything in between color. She also gives great haircuts. Toni is also up there on the list. If you're scared about trying something new like I was this is your girl! She was able to give me something a little more fun but without scaring me. Sejal gave my eyebrows an arch you cant get at some nail salon. Steve at the front desk is so wonderful and helpful. He always knows whats going on. Whenever I have a question he's the man to go to. And when making an appointment he's so helpful. So from my experience at Salon Me & Medspa I would never go anywhere else.

• Pros: the setting, staff, knowledge, and products
• Cons: being so high in demand...sometimes you cant get in asap

OMG - how do you describe T.??(AKA: Toni)

I've been with this woman now for 10 years and have followed her E V E R Y W H E R E!! She is INCREDIBLE! I always leave the shop feeling 100 times better and sexier and WAY more relaxed than when I came in. This is by far the best environment I've seen her in. Steve and Monica and 'Doc' along with the rest of the staff are always fun and friendly and everyone really seems to be open and having fun! This allows me to be able to relax and have fun when I am at Salon Me, unlike when I've gone to some 'other' salons. I've ended up feeling like ' just some girl' in other chairs.

Now, about her creativity ...I can come in with an inkling of an idea and T. will run with it and help me to develop it. I have tried so many colors over the years and they've been BEAUTIFUL!! ALL thanks to T.! She helps to make the process of "CHANGE" a good experience and oh-so-easy! Since I've known her for so many years, I can honestly say that she really takes the time to know ALL of her clients so she can truly understand what it is they want. And the fabulous thing about T. is that she ALWAYS gives 110%!

Trust me... she's A M A Z I N G!

Toni & Steve are awesome!

I can't wait until it's time for me to go get my hair done by Toni. I always have a pleasant experience. She understands what I want and want I don't want. She can read my mind - she's that good. If we decide to do something different, she takes the time to write it down in her notes for the next time. Steve is great, he always calls a day to remind me of my appointment. Thanks Salan Me for making my experiences enjoyable.
