Lovely hotel
by cmmccla at Citysearch
This was my second time staying here and once again it was a great hotel. Quick check in, special event room upgrade (corner room with views on both sides AND over the tub) was so great, and overall cleanliness of the room was all on point. Loved the double shower head. I love the Westin and I recommend this hotel to all my friends.
Yes you pay for internet and parking and probably for breathing their air, but that's the norm in Atlanta. Paying for parking will be for every hotel 4 star and above (at least the nice ones) and internet fees were listed for all 4 stars I checked.
- Pros: Room upgrade on request, great service
- Cons: Charge for everything (internet especially)

The Westin in Buckhead is not only a great atmosphere it is very clean and a great place to see celebrities. Last time I was there I saw PDiddy and Chris Brown. The hotel staff was very friendly and informative. When ever I have guest in town they always stay at the West and love it!

This is one of the best hotels in Atlanta. I was there for a Christmas party and everything was perfect. Rooms were spacious very quiet and well equipped.

Beautiful Hotel, Friendly Staff, Great for Meetings/Events
by mmulrain at Citysearch
As a Pharmaceutical Event Planner, I held 3 Business Meetings here in 2006 - ranging from 40 attendees to 130 attendees.
Every time they did a phenomenal job! The staff makes you feel like family, the catering is amazing, and the public space & guest rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable. Even if you are here for a personal stay, you will enjoy the atmosphere and the cocktail hour in the Lobby and not feel like you are overwhelmed by what business mtgs or corporate groups are there at the Hotel.
Its location next door to the Lenox Mall and within walking distance to restaurants ranging from casual to fine dining makes it even more appealing.
You will receive consistent, quality service at the Westin Buckhead!!
- Pros: Decor/atmosphere, Location, Friendly Staff
Interesting experience

My wife and I are avid travelers and have stayed at a spectrum of hotels around the world. We do not consider ourselves snobby or picky about our accomidations and understand no place is perfect.
With that being said, I would like to share our experience with other travelers when it comes to the Westin Buckhead. We stayed at this hotel just last night. Our room rate was $400 per night.
At midnight as my wife and I were sleeping, we awoke to the sound of clanging dishes and metallic dish covers from the hallway just outside our door. I looked through the peephole and saw a large figure outside our door standing over a roomservice tray across the hall. I could hear him frantically eating the food off the tray. It turned out that he was a drunk thug looking for food.
He then began to throw-up all over the floor and continued to eat the food knocking dishes and dishcovers on the floor. As the odor entered our room I immediately called the operator asking for security. I actually had to beg the operator to send someone up. A securty guard showed up 5 minutes later and began yelling at this guy. A screaming match ensued between the two of them. As we listened to this agrument, my wife and I began packing our bags. I called the front desk, spoke with the Manager Deidre who was polite. She refunded my money and we checked out immediately.
Here is my take on the Westin in Buckhead. There is no security at this hotel. In retrospect, I noticed there was no security guard checking room keys at the elevators, the parking deck is unattended and I had to fully explain myself to the operator in order to get help. These are basic security concepts for a four star hotel in a large city.
In my opinion, this hotel is not safe. I would NEVER let my wife or children stay here.
- Pros: Location
- Cons: everything
BEST HOTEL EVER.
by maia1980 at Citysearch
This hotel is the best! Made reservations which included multiple upgrades using Starpoints (check into that) and talked with helpful customer service representatives to make sure that everything was perfect. Then upon arrival the front desk personnel were very professional. The hotel decor was beautiful and artsy. The upgraded room on the Executive Floor was FANTASTIC - the view, the bed, the double shower heads and all the little details like chocolate on the beds and the housemaid cleaning the room more than once a day!!!! We left at 11am and returned to a clean room, messed it up again and left at 5pm and came back to a clean room AGAIN! There must be an alarm that goes off if a bed is unmade and we leave the room! LOL! The Executive Floor had an Executive Lounge with COMPLIMENTARY drinks, hors d'oeuvre's, water, fruit, breakfast and the ABSOLUTE BEST DESSERT SPREAD I HAVE TASTED IN A LONG TIME!!!! We lounged in front of the plasma tv while drinking mixed drinks and nibbling on different hors d'oeuvre's and fruit and then the dessert spread was awesome. There were several lounges within walking distance (Milan in the Crowne Plaza was great for appetizers, drinks and a live jazz band), Dante's is right across the street and Lenox Mall was a 3 minute walk across the street with several spots over there. Westin was the best and everything was PERFECT.
- Pros: Everything, loved it.
- Cons: Wish the stocked pay fridge had room for MY stuff!!
A luxury hotel with modern decor within walking distance of Buckhead's fashionable stores and restaurants.

The Scene
This sleek, sophisticated 22-story white tower is an appropriate introduction to the hotel's equally modern interior. Formerly the Swissotel, the new owners have kept the modern design and elegance the Swissotel was famous for. Its glass-enclosed lobby showcases tasteful sculptures and paintings, while the Palm steakhouse and several small boutiques round out the inside. All this luxury is situated in the heart of Buckhead's business and shopping district. Lenox Square Mall is next door, and Phipps Plaza is down the street.
The Details
Amenities include all sorts of extras like valet services, a health and massage center with 24-hour fitness club, and secretarial services. The Westin has upped the luxury quotient with the "Heavenly Bath," marble bathrooms complete with dual showerheads and the "Heavenly Bed" piled high with a pillow-top mattress set, down blankets, well-fluffed pillows and sheets with thread counts far above 200.
