Trendy Bar
by lauradines at Citysearch
Go if you have a gift certificate and go with little expectations. This is a trendy bar conveniantly located next to the Fox. The service is not the best and the menu is overpriced. Saying this- we enjoyed ourselves with some good appetizers and coctails while hanging out in the city. Also- you get free easy parking which is pretty cool!
- Pros: parking and location
An Atlanta classic
by cattttier at Citysearch
I live in the Midtown and have been going to Bazzaar now for 5 years...it is one of the only few places left in town that hasn't sold out to mainstream music and the typical suburban cheese ball crowds. If you like to hang out in places that have soul and remind you of the way Atlanta was when it was cool than Bazzaar is your place...

In Short
Step into a softly lit intimate space where international rhythms meet modern chic. The loft-like upper level is decorated with Moroccan cushions and cozy alcoves perfect for groups; the lower level has a smattering of brightly colored velvet chairs and small tables. The friendly waitstaff create a pleasant vibe and drinks flow effortlessly from the bar, which can get crowded on late nights.
Tapas - bogus
by smw821 at Citysearch
I read the review of Bazaar on City Search and it sounded like the perfect trendy spot to take my teenage daughter before a Fox performance. When we walked in we were greeted immediately by someone who could not find our reservation. While he was trying to figure it out we were watched by a stocking capped squater who was eating a bag of carrots while propped up on the couch behind the hostess stand. I found our reservation in their scribbled in reservation book, pointed it out to the host and we were immediately seated. However, we were not taken upstairs to the "proper" dining tables. Instead we were walked to the back of the establishment and were seated at a table behind curtains at a dark, dingy little table.
Ok so this is embiance...I'm trying to appreciate the scene until I look at the menu. Tapas is what was advertised. A very limited selection of bar food is what was on the menu. Six items including Quesadillas and boneless buffalo wings (or something just as boring). The atmosphere stunk and the food selection was atrocious. Had City Search stated it was a trendy bar with appetizers at least I would have known what to have expected. A Tapas restaurant? Hardly.
I'm sure this is a great place to meet for drinks. A word to the newbie - make them seat you upstairs. I was not aware there was more to the place than the downstairs. I looked at the website after the fact and the "loft" area looks lovely unlike the Salvation Army reject look of the downstairs. I'm wondering if they offer real menu upstairs because the items described in City Search were not found on the menu I was given.
We left and went elsewhere for a nice dinner.
Best intimate club in the ATL
by awesome_name at Citysearch
I don't know "the owner" but I still get treated like VIP whenever I come to Bazzaar. It is one of the only places in Atlanta that truly defines "city". The scene is always diverse, the music is cutting edge, cocktails are strong and the crowd is intelligent and beautiful. Kudos to the owners for not catering to the main stream and giving Atlanta something that CAN be compared to NYC, Miami, LA or any other major cosmopolitan destinations in the world.
- Pros: Best late night lounge in Atlanta
- Cons: You may not get in
Great local lounge

It's not overly trendy, the music is always top notch and the staff is great. If you're nice to them, they'll be nice back. Since chef blais left -- the food is predictable, but you don't go there for the food. You go for the drinks and the fun.
Overall, it's a great place to go and we always have a great night out.
- Pros: Great ambience, great music, good drinks
- Cons: slightly pricey
Sophisticated Rudeness at its worst.....
by sadyc at Citysearch
I have been out of the "scene" for awhile and went with several friends on a Thursday night. The food was horrible, the service was slow and when we nicely complained the several ROLLED his eyes at us and just walked off. The only people who seem to be treated nicely are the owner's friends (who were NOT the trendy and sophisticated crowd they thought they were). Our bill was over $500 and when my husband, again nicely, told the owner he was disappointed with the service the owner just suggested we not return. NICE ATTITUDE. We are both professional and entertain clients weekly in the city and believe me we are telling everyone we know to avoid this place.
- Pros: Nice decor
- Cons: Owner and wait staff attitude
Just My Style
by harlow69 at Citysearch
I just paid a visit to Bazzaar after laying low from the scene for a few months and I must admit that even after disapearing for a while the scene there is still top notch. It was so nice to walk throuh the door and be greeted like I was an old friend. The staff is one of the sexiest yet friendliest bunch of trendy peeps you will find anywhere. It's nice to see a place like Bazzaar continue to set the standards for the Atlanta nightlife scene. Keep up the good work.
A Pre-Show Must
by 1hamilton at Citysearch
My partner and I went there last night before going to the Fox to see Tuesdays with Morie. From the minute we walked in the restaurant we felt warm and welcomed. It was a very relaxing atmosphere for the two of us to sit and catch up on the day over a bottle of wine. Autumn, our waitress was the bomb! She was very attentive as a waitress and just had a good karma about her. Her smile and attitude made the stop worthwhile as well. This is absolutely a place that we will return to as we make our way back to the Fox Theatre. The food, wine, service, and atmosphere were JUST what we were looking for before going to the show! I would recommend it without hesitation.
- Pros: Good Selection, Fast, Attentive Wait Staff
- Cons: None
