I love to try new bbq. The second I walked in the door this bald guy tried to impress me with his knowledge. He tried to make me think he knew what he was talking about. I bet this guy couldn't boil water. The beans tasted like water. The slaw was old. The guy named Paul told me he was the owner. I would be ashamed to tell anyone that. I should have made him try my food and see what he liked about it. I will never go back and will make sure everyone I know won't go. NASTY!!!!!!!!!

Pros: none

Cons: everything

Really disappointed. I was among their first customers when they opened, and been over a dozen times. Had them cater my child's religious thing when he was 8 days old and again at his first birthday. Went Sunday for a Father's Day brunch, my choice. I wanted a pork sandwich with fries and slaw, as I've ordered literally 10 or so times... and the sandwiches are now ala carte. So if I wanted fries and slaw, add $4 to a $6 or $7 sandwich. My wife ordered a beef plate with greens and fries... we love greens and these tasted way-too-cooked over and musty. I thought her fries were OK but she didn't care for them. My beer? Well, they don't sell beer anymore, so that was out. And the sweet tea was out of a dispensing machine and it tasted instant, like a mix. So no beer, bad sides, bad tea. But the meat was delicious, must say that. So I'll keep it in mind for bulk meats, but I'm not going back to the restaurant again - or at least until they reconsider the menu and their sweet tea situation. Shame.

Pros: The meat is great

Cons: Everything else, including price, is off.

3 years ago my cousin refered me to Rollin Bones and I loved it second to Fatt Matts. I met one of the owners and got the history of the new business and made this my joint for BBQ. After being away for a period of time, I returned craving for the brisket sandwich on one visit and the ribs on another but walked away very disappointed both times - with the service and the food. Now being from Texas, I was raised in a small city that mastered the craft of smoked BBQ ribs, chicken, brisket, baked beans and potato salad. Stubbs BBQ. I don't know what happened, but I won't be returning to Rollin Bones. I'm going back to Fatt Matts. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Pros: Clean

Cons: Parking

This is the worst BBQ that I have ever had. The sauce is horrible too. An all fairness, I thought the greens were pretty good. The negative reviews done in 2007,in my opinion, represents the food at Rolling bones. I don't understand the positive ratings for this place. I tried this place once and some of my co-workers have eaten at Rollin Bones. They thought the food was awful too. Don't waste your money. For great BBQ try One Star Ranch or Fatt Matts.

Most of this meal ended up in the trash. The bbq was all fat, the potato salad was awful, and the beens were refried. How can this place call itself a BBQ joint when they sell REFRIED beans???? On top op that, we spent $26 for two plates of this awful food. I have no idea how this place stays in business.

Pros: NONE

Cons: where do I start. Food is awful and over priced, service is terrible.

I love BBQ, we use to have a slow smoke pit on our backyard.... I was not impressed with this place at all. The pork had no smoke taste to it, the sauce was not spiced well and was a odd color which was not ascetically pleasing (which I know is not the aim of this place but still). I got the potato salad on the side and it was the worst potato salad I have ever had, I couldn't even eat it. It was full of green peppers which were the only things you could taste. I would suggest finding some place else if you are in the mood for good BBQ.

I moved to Atlanta from Los Angeles and was looking for good BBQ so I tried Rolling Bones based on the reviews on another website. I loved the look of the place but was very disappointed with the food. I had a BBQ pull pork sandwich. It didn't taste like BBQ to me, no flavor to it, including the BBQ sauce. I expected more, this is the south, but I've had better BBQ in Los Angeles and even Sacramento California, go figure!

Pros: Looks Nice

Cons: Not real BBQ

Yes it's Sunday, and we just went to the King Center, to view the new crypt of Coretta Scott King, and her husband, the great Martin Luther King, Jr. We wanted to go to a regular brunch, but BBQ, was in the air. Right at the corner of Edgewood/Boulevard, near where my grandmothers furniture store was once located, is Rolling Bone's. It's a great rehab of an old gas station. So nice, so trendy, and a great use of an old building. The draw here is the Brisket. Oh man, so tender, we had to bring a pound home. Thank goodness we took the Marta train over, because of the limited parking. Rolling Bones now qualify's for one of our fave BBQ joints.

Pros: Excellent BBQ Brisket! Cool Retro Building!

Cons: Parking could be a problem, if driving!

It ain't Atlanta style pit BBQ. There are several more authentic pits within two blocks but they are not Disneyland squeaky-clean like this.

Pros: Okay if you don't know Barbeque. Setting will not make you uncomfortable.

Cons: Spendy. False experience.

After reading all the reviews, my husband and I ran to the place. We've been looking for good bbq in Atlanta, and since we live in the city it is somehow a hard thing to find. We definitely loved the food (brisket and chicken were delicious). We went at lunchtime when it was packed so it took a little time to get the food but worth the wait. The only 2 reasons why we might not come back would be the constant nagging of the walk up peddlers and the very little parking/driving space. We literally were trapped for 15 minutes leaving b/c there is no room to manuever your car around the drive in patrons. I guess that is to be expected in the city though!

Pros: food, cleanliness, atmosphere

Cons: parking, peddlers

The small dining room can get a bit cramped; when weather permits, opt instead for the roomier patio in front.
