A vintage boutique worthy of their Ponce address.
by Ryan Sims
In Short
Like a giant version of your favorite quirky aunt and uncle’s attic, the Lucky Exchange sports racks and racks of vintage clothing from all eras of the mid-to-late twentieth century. A row of 70’s-style tan leather jackets hang along side a nice collection of collectible orange tab Levi’s and western-style pearl snap shirts in the guys section. Look for 60’s era print dresses and unique footwear within the massive gals section that takes up the majority of the space. The prices are mostly par for the ATL-area vintage clothing course, though you might find good deals buried in the racks. The Lucky Exchange also lets you, er, exchange your clothes for money, but trading for store credit will get you the best value for your rags.
Great Store!

I would also like to respond to the nasty comment about "people of color beware!" I have been into the lucky exchange multiple times bringing in my clothes, i am a women of color too and i have never had a problem. There workers are respectful and say a hello when you come in. I'm highly doubt that it only took them 30 seconds to look at your clothes im sure the worker took time into looking at them. Sometimes it does not matter whether the clother are designer or not it depends if the shop is full at the time or your clothes just so happen not to work so well with the store. I'm pretty sure none of this had to do with the color of your skin! try not to take it personal, did you ever think it was maybe the clothes you brought in?
- Pros: Awesome!
- Cons: none.
Good for shopping; not so much for selling.

This place is great - as long as you're a shopper. Tons of great selections to look through, at very reasonable prices. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in nice vintage clothes. I did feel like I was low-balled when I tried to sell some things, though. I was offered $10 for three vintage items. That's a little more than $3 each - all while I perused the store and found nothing cheaper than $20. Not a huge deal; it was still my choice. I just didn't leave with a good feeling about the way this place treats sellers. I just should not have gotten greedy. My old stuff should go to Goodwill (pickup in the murder Kroger parking lot), where it belongs.
- Pros: Great selection.
- Cons: Not a wonderful environment for sellers.
CHECK IT OUT

I have been to many second hand stores and this one is the BEST! Alot of nice selections from the dresses, to the shoes, to the jewelry! I went in and spent more money than I expected! The place was very neat as well. And.............the prices were just right. CHECK IT OUT!
- Cons: PARKING, PRICE, CLOTHES, SELECTION
incredible hidden selection, best used clothing in atlanta
by foreveriloveatlanta
the Lucky Exchange has never failed to impress me with its selection - including and especially its selection of cute dresses - which are so hard to find at most vintage stores, and usually very expensive.
Whereas the shops in little five points tend to be overpriced and incredibly picked over, the lucky exchange's two hidden stores (one on ponce, one on moreland - in east atlanta/ormewood park area) always have TONS of stuff to look through, at amazing prices.
Definitely the best vintage/used clothing store in atlanta - hands down.
- Pros: amazing, rare selection, incredible prices
GREAT vintage clothing!

I love shopping for vintage clothing, whether it be on ebay or in thrift stores, but this store is by far the best vintage store I've found! The customer service is great and the finds are amazing- I definately reccomend it! Prices are good too, not too expensive at all.
- Pros: very nice staff, great prices, chill environment
Awesome Store!

I had to write this review in response to the nasty review (people of color beware)! This store is awesome and the people that work there are always helpful and friendly! And no, they do not always buy all of my clothes and sometimes they buy none. I don't take it personally and neither should you. It has nothing to do with the color of your skin- only your clothes!
- Pros: Easy to shop!
- Cons: none
If you are a person of color, beware!!!

I went to sell many of my designer clothes (i.e. Shelli Segal, BCBG, Guess, Tommy Hilfiger) to this shop. Within 30 seconds (without much perusing through my items), I was told my items were not at all acceptable. The worker treated me as second class, and I know that as soon as I walked in she treated me with very little respect. Her lost...

I live on the block behind this place and I shop there frequently. I'm never disappointed. I may not find what I'm looking for...but I always find something I want. very very cool.
How "Lucky" for Us!

You won't be disappointed with this fabulous boutique - the ultimate in consignment shopping that sells great quality and high-end clothes and accesories for women AND men. The owner obviously has an eye for what's cool and stylish. The trick is to shop regularly to get the very best pieces - but I can always find something to bring home. It's well organized and service is super.
- Pros: Quality, Selection
