The Five Spot is the Best place in Atlanta for Beer Selection, Music and Food all in one!
by MusicLover77 at Citysearch
The people at the Five Spot are so nice and the bartenders make great drinks! They have an awesome beer selection and the best sandwiches in the city! They have this 420 chili that completely rocks my world! Me and my friends hang out at the five spot because the music is always different and it has this arty, cool vibe that is unlike anywhere else in the city. The bartenders are not pretentious and you can tell they really like working there! I would too if I got to hear so much music! They have an amazing sound system and they have local and national acts regularly! If you come to Atlanta you MUST visit the Five Spot!
- Pros: Everything!
Decent prices, strong drinks, tasty treats, and fine tunes

The Five Spot, sharing a pay parking lot with The Variety Playhouse, is a wonderful place to meet for evening drinks or to catch local DJs and other eclectic artists. Solo shows, reggae, and local musicians adorn the stage most every night and in their absence you can catch an odd show on the scratchy TVs around the corner bar. The appetizers are greasy and filling, cocktails made stout so you feel you?re getting the best for your money, and folk, local art pieces hang all around you up and down the tall walls. The open floor offers tables, stools, and sometimes a couch or two for you to perch on while having friendly conversation or cold PBRs. The atmosphere is cozy, and although the bathrooms aren?t fit for a queen, the staff is friendly and company approachable and kind. It?s a great place to meet some cool folks if you?re from out of town without breaking the bank, and you?ll enjoy the wide array of artists and musicians represented if that?s your scene.
- Pros: friendly service, greasy apps, stout drinks
- Cons: limited parking
Excellent place to have fun

Last night we had my sister's 21st birthday party & The Five Spot was awesome. The DJ gave her shout outs & allowed us to bring a cake in. They were so great. This was my first visit to the Five Spot & I look forward to many more. This is a great place just to hang out or bring a group of friends. They are very accommodating & I highly recommend them. If you haven't been, you need to check it out!
- Pros: Everything is great
- Cons: none
BEST bar in Little 5 and beyond......
by inmanparkgirl at Citysearch
The Five Spot is THE best bar in Little Five Points, hands down. The atmosphere is so "little five" it shouts "no hate zone" and "30307, it's not just a zip code, it's a way of life". Everyone is nice. The bartenders are great and the clientele is a friendly, open bunch ready for conversation and just hanging out. The best thing about the Five Spot is that it is an eclectic mix of cool people, great music, beautiful art, delicious food and really good cocktails. The bartenders attitudes are upbeat and happy and that rubs off on the patrons. At the Five Spot, it's always a fun time. Check it out.
- Pros: Non-smoking, Great Drinks, Great Bartenders, Great Food, Great MUSIC
Dim and faintly dingy bar draws Little Five denizens for eclectic mix of live music and banter.

The Scene
What this Euclid nightspot lacks in ambience, it more than makes up for with personality. A lively music showcase lures regulars and locals that wander in for a thirst quencher. An angular wooden bar mimics the name of the neighborhood and props up the usual suspects who drink PBR and nosh appetizers while watching Telemundo on a few scattered TVs. Friendly barkeeps serve an impressive and international beer selection and promote weekly revues.
The Draw
A clutch of tables fills the expansive front of the bar while eccentric art pieces and primitive paintings adorn the walls. An elevated stage showcases the jazzy and funky performers who play most nights. Occasionally, a DJ shows up and spins whatever tickles his fancy, while smokers slip in and out the exit to the alley, as cigarettes are banned. The menu features traditional bar options like appetizers, specialty sandwiches and salads.
Hidden Gem in L5P

This is my favorite bar in Atlanta. First of all, you don't smell like a stale Lucky Strike cigarette when leaving this smoke-free and open environment. I love the warehouse feel and seeing various works of local artists hanging on the walls. A large stage accomodates local musicians and there is no cover charge. The drinks are not watered down and there is delightful selection of diverse finger foods on the menu. The Five Spot is trendy with zero pretention. Ask Kevin (friendly owner) about his Van Gogh vodka creations and you will not be disappointed!
- Pros: Smoke-free, Great Ambience, Free Entertainment
- Cons: Parking
