After two years of taking my miniature schnauzer to another doggie camp, I switched to Piedmont Bark. I switched because, among many other strange clues, my dog - who NEVER does this - peed on the floor out of fear when I left him at the other place. At Piedmont Bark, his behavior changed dramatically for the better! Even though he is still anxious about being left by me, after his 6 hour trial run, when we came back for boarding he actually recognized the girl that came to take him away and jumped up on her excitedly. The staff and the entire air about the place is highly professional - which leads me to believe that as is often the case in business, that professionalism will translate into how my dog is treated when I'm not around to supervise. My dog was happy to see me after 5 days at Piedmont Bark, however, he was not the anxious, Get Me the Heck Out of Here dog that he was when I retrieved him from the old doggie camp. I am very happy with my new choice for boarding my dog.
Pros: Professional Staff, My Dog Seemed Happy There
Cons: No Outdoor area that I know of...

We have two dogs and frequently have a need for doggie daycare and boarding. Our dogs are always excited to visit Piemont Bark, and when we pick them up it seems like they don't want to go home. They have made several great "doggie" friends during their stays, and the staff is always very attentive and friendly. We've tried other places, but are convinced that Piedmont Bark is hands down the most convenient and professional facility in town.
Pros: convenient location and friendly and attentive staff. Very clean facility.
Cons: none

They have a great facility. They are very good about following specific instructions (ie: Our dog can only have the food and treats we bring, he can't be exposed to harsh cleaning agents and he has to be washed with our special medicated shampoo). Our dog used to get a bad upset stomach after going because they would only place him with small, yappy dogs at first and he's just too agressive and rowdy for small dogs. Finally they agreed to put him with large dogs despite the fact that he's a medium sized dog and he does much better now. The only bad thing is that he has to have a bath everytime we take him (regardless of how long he's been there) because he comes home smelling like urine, otherwise. Overall, the location is very convenient, I love that Taj-Ma-Hound is located there and the staff is very kind and attentive.
Pros: Nice, competent staff, Location
Cons: Pet needs a bath after every visit

My German Shepherd plays at Piedmont Bark at least once a week. William, Jason, and Rodney are personable and accomodating, and my dog is always thrilled to see them. I can stay at work later with a clear conscience because I know that she is in good hands. The facility is large, fully air-conditioned, clean, sunny, and is designed to resemble a park (but indoors). They also provide boarding, grooming, and have self-serve doggie wash stations (no mess to clean up at home, and they provide the shampoo and towels). You can save money by purchasing a package of visits. Highly recommended
Pros: Personalized care, clean & professional, NICE people
Cons: limited outside area
