Worst Concert Venue Ever!!!!!

by mwattack77x at Citysearch

I've been going to concerts for years. Recently, I found out Black Label Society, Sevendust, and Dope are playing there. This was the 1st time I've been there, and it'll be my last. When my girlfriend and I get there, there was a mile long line that wrapped around the building and into the parking lot. We waited in line for an hour!!! When we finally got to the entrance, we were told we were in the wrong line because we had willcall tickets, so we waited in line for another 30 minutes. When we finally get to the door again with our tickets, we had the joy of meeting the security. He tells me to go to the right so I start walking to the right. The @$$hole of a bouncer grabs my arm and yanks me backwards and scolds me!!!!!! Apparently, I was going the wrong way even though he told me to walk that way. The reason the line was so long was because they had to pat everyone down to make sure they wern't bringing in weapons, but there was only one guy and one girl doing it for everybody! So, we finally get in and I've missed half the concert. Sevendust was playing and it sounded awful. This isn't the bands fault. The acoustics are so bad in there, it's a joke. The speakers we just blaring white noise. It just ruined the whole show. The staff inside couldn't have been less friendly either. If this is how they treat all of thier customers, then I hope that dump goes out of buisness. DO NOT GO TO WILD BILLS!!

Don't waste your time!!!

by travis1234 at Citysearch

If you go any night when there is nothing special happening it's like going to a ghost town even on friday and saturday when everything else it hoping. When they have it scheduled for a good band to come they give out free tickets to everyone just in case they don't sell enough through the ticket master. Me and 6 friends drove an hour to go to the Gretchen Wilson concert this weekend there and waited an hour in line in 35 degree weather only to find out that they were not letting anyone in that had these so called free tickets that were given to us. Why give out free tickets if your not going to honor them. I hope this place sinks to a bottomless pit along with the money hungry owners. Don't even waste your time at this place.

This place is over the hill!

by beinginbredisnotyourfault at Citysearch

Wow, this place seemed pretty happening when it first opened; however, it is now a steaming pile of squeeze... except it is not even hot enough to be steaming. Perhaps to describe it as a pile of frozen feces in Antarctica from a frozen 6,000 year old wooly mammoth would be more precise?, No, actually that would be too significant! How about a frozen uncontrolled death dump from a miniature flea that was the runt of the litter. While I have no genealogical proof, I feel that while this place does have some really nice people working in some areas, there are some unbelievably inbred morons working this place: mostly in security. And by inbred, I mean about 4 generations of continuous and unabashed inbreeding. It is a wonder they can walk or speak any form of language: even a grunt is scientifically miraculous. Bill's should host a live casting call for Jerry Springer, and then correctly "brag" that about four to five of their staff were shoe-ins for the season finale and the "Most Outrageous Inbreds Ever" award. You actually have to interact with these morons each time you enter the club. You will want to leave and not come back at some point, and you will be shocked that any business can survive for more than a week when they treat customers like garbage. This is a customer nightmare; believe me! You may want to carry a cyanide pill with you if you decide to go on a really slow night (a.k.a.-- most any night they are open) so that you will at least have some kind of escape if you are accosted by any of these freakin' idiots that work in the place. This is NOT to say that everyone there is retarded or stupid (no offense to people who are actually technically retarded or mentally impaired as I feel for those people); however, the ones that are definitely retarded by the incessant inbreeding make the place unbearable. Who hires these people and allows them to interact with the customers that are trying to give money to Wild Bill's?!!!

  • Pros: This place is horrible!
  • Cons: This place is not hell, but it is close!

LOVED IT

by luckyu12986 at Citysearch

Wild Bills is my all time favorite club that I have ever been too. They have a good mix of everything dancing drinks, concerts and fights. There is always something going on out there. The parking kinda stinks but if you get there early you can get a good spot. The Fight Nights are awesome no matter where you stand you can always see the ring!

Avoid Thursday if you like country, avoid Friday if you like crowds.

by adm1254 at Citysearch

Saturday is still the night to go. A good mix of country and top-40/dance music. If you are young and know how to line dance, you'll be the life of the party if you can handle the attention from the single thirty-somethings. The crowd is really mixed in age, and usually pretty attractive. This is not a place where everyone goes to line dance (like Cowboys). It's also nice because you don't smell like smoke when you leave. If you can chew gum and walk at the same time, you can hook up.

  • Pros: Huge, good music, good house band
  • Cons: Fridays are not good there unless there's a national act playing.

Change Needed!!!!!!

by egls2167 at Citysearch

Wild Bill's was once the place to go. Now it is the same old thing. Some of the staff have remained and they are nice but overall, the band needs a major overhaul. More people dance when the DJ plays rather than the band. Crowds have dropped off the map.

  • Pros: Location, Size
  • Cons: Band, Prices, Lack of crowds

Having a good time is priority number one at this gigantic country-themed dance hall.

by Brian Suber at Citysearch

The Scene
Billed as the largest country-music dance club and concert hall in the country, this massive Duluth complex is a weekend hot spot. It has an upscale vibe, with only spotted-cow carpet alluding to its country theme. A multilevel bar overlooks the 5,000-square-foot solid oak dance floor, where country-music fans vie for stomping space. Dancers, ages 18 to 88, sport loafers and cowboy boots, baseball caps and 10-gallon hats. Four full-service bars and beer pit stops keep whistles wet. The sprawling stage, home to house band "Bill Gentry and the 35 Cent Rodeo," showcases big-name touring acts.

The Draw
Plenty of other diversions supplement the packed dance floor and booming country and roots rock music: video games, a dozen pool tables, an Internet cafe, a full-service burgers-and-wings-type eatery. With a mingling atmosphere and fun-seeking crowd, Wild Bill's makes it easy to meet new people, which can be entertainment enough.
