If you want the best then you have to go visit Moses! I've been to Van Michaels, I've been to Carter Barnes and I've been to James Madison, and Moses rocks them all. My husband actually looks forward to me getting my hair done, because when i get home he says its like seeing me for the first time all over again. Not only does he listen to exactly what i want, but he throws in some amazing suggestions to make the look complete. I feel beautiful ever time i leave the salon!
Pros: location, fun atmosphere

I like this salon, as it's simple and at a very convenient location. But the best thing in it is Amy! She is a great hair stylist without the attitude. She listened carefully to what I had to say about my hair, and approached the cut in a very careful, caring way - such a pleasant, relaxing experience after a series of hair stylist who didn't know what they were doing, but proceeded to cut my hair very boldly! The best part was when I came back home after my appontment with Amy: my husband loved the cut so much, he said Amy deserved a tip from him too! (and this coming from a man who normally not only cares little about appearance, but is also very frugal with money...) I'd highly recommend her.

This is the first time i have been so excited after getting my hair done, that i had to write a review. i have been spending over $250(before tip) every 6-8 weeks for the last 2 years, and never once did my hair look this great. Moses does several of my friends hair, and at their insistence i finally gave him a try. The color he does is absolutely beautiful and his cuts are flattering.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Moses. I had what I thought was a top notch hair dresser in Atlanta until I met Moses. The cut and color were great! And, the best part is that my color has held over 6 weeks instead of fading. I would definitely recommend him. He listened to what I wanted and also made suggestions. And the best part, was that I could fix my hair myself the day after a visit to him.
Pros: great experienced hair dresser.
Cons: sort of hard to find

When you approach Ecotage, it looks nice, but the closer you get the less appealing it is. The couches are worn and dingy. But, the real reason I do not recommend Ecotage is that the service was poor. My stylist was not communicative at all. He did not respond to my questions and just started cutting before I knew what he was going to do. I came away unhappy with my haircut, and they charged me $20 more than they quoted me over the phone. I went to Ecotage because it seemed convenient and looked nice enough from the outside, but I do not plan to go back again.

So i was refered to Moses at Ecotage by a friend of mine and decided to check the place out on citysearch before i booked my appointment. I was excited to see that there was already a review raving about Moses and felt confident in booking my appointment. I must say that my hair has never looked better, and i have never been stopped by so many people asking where i get it done, and i have never felt more beautiful. There is one girl at the front desk who did have a bad attitude, and who does not understand customer service, but dont let that turn you off from an otherwise amazing experience.
Pros: amazing stylist
Cons: front desk

i recently visited Ecotage Salon and Spa at the Macys in Lenox Mall for the first time. One of my friends reffered me to Moses, who, along with the rest of the staff, took amazing care of me. I can honestly say that Moses gave me the best haircut i have had in my life, as well as some beautiful highlights that i get compliments on nearly everyday. The best part about the cut is it still looks great when i style it myself at home. i can't tell you how many times i've left the salon feeling good about a cut, only to be dissapointed when i would try to style it at home. Thank you Ecotage and thank you Moses, i will send all of my friends to you guys, and will be looking forward to the expierience again and again.
Pros: friendly, talented staff. great value, great products, late hours

Ecotage is a great way to experience spa services at not so expensive prices. They have a very professional staff. It is a beautiful salon/spa with marble floors and a waterfall viewed from the escalator as you descend down to the lower level of Macy*s Department Store. I have received many services there and was very happy with the level of customer service and noticed how clean it was. I would reccomend it to anyone who would like to be pampered at a lower than usual price especially for Buckhead.
Pros: Very beautiful affordable salon/spa

I won't call out the esthetician by name in case she gets fired (but maybe she should)--yesterday I had my eyebrows waxed at Ecotage. Today my right eye has meaty red stripes where she took off the skin. The esthetician inadvertently put the wax in the crease in my eye, arguably the most tender area, and zip...OW! When I called her today to tell her that she took skin off crease of my eye and that it's beet red and emanting heat, her response: "You must have very sensitive skin. You should put aloe vera on it." Wow, no "Sorry." Nada, nothing. Since I've only had my eyebrows waxed here, I can't comment on their other services. But I can point out that if their weakest link is ripping the skin off her customers, than the bar has been set pretty low for esthetician abilities, not to mention customer service skills. A bit of a warning for you.
Pros: They have a water feature
Cons: Beauty school drop outs
