A fun place for young children
by meekomama
This is not a standard museum but a place built for little kids. The kids run from area to area building, touching, playing............and just generally having a great time. It is a fun time for parents and kids because there are so many things to do together. A kid's imagination can just go wild. Every child I saw there was having a good time.
- Pros: Family Friendly, Helpful Staff
Fun & Games

Took my 2 ? year old grand-daughter to the museum and she was completely enchanted with it. It is a totally hands-on museum with literally nothing there that she could not touch. She painted, built, climbed, played in the sand & water, watched Arthur, danced on TV, gardened, etc. all in one location. There were books, large hand puppets, lots of little extras stuffed in various corners of the museum. There were colorful animal raincoats for the kids to wear during water play, aprons for the painting area and all kinds of props that children like to use. She would have stayed for hours. It just had so many things that stimulated her.
- Pros: Stimulating, Totally Kid Friendly, Helpful Staff
Downtown museum keeps the fun factor high with interactive exhibits, daily programs and traveling exhibits.

In Short
This hands-on museum, housed in the bottom of Museum Tower, is one of downtown Atlanta's most popular family attractions. Recommended for children between the ages of 2 and 8, the museum is one big interactive playground. Older children can learn how gardens grow, load a delivery truck and paint on the walls. Leap into Learning, which houses a friendly forest, appeals to toddlers and preschoolers. Traveling exhibits and daily programs keep the return-visit factor high.
Uniquely Powerful and Right On Target

Visited the museum with my 5 year old and was completely impressed. The museum is specifically geared for kids under 8, so it doesn't offer sprawling expanses of room after room of information that is too old for my son. I've paid less in other cities, but got less once I cut out all the stuff that they presented trying to be all things to all people. The space at Imagine It! is open, colorful, rich, engaging, and I had to literally work to keep up with my kid's enthused mind. Live performers made the space "sing" and there wasn't a corner that my son couldn't find something to touch, explore, or learn from. Best children's museum we've visited.
- Pros: Creative, Targted, Effective
- Cons: Parking

I was so excited thinking i was going to a real cool museum in downtown ATLANTA. This museum was not worth the money. I had more fun at my hometown children museum where there are 4 floors of fun and this place had like 1 big room. I can't believe they actually made people pay for this.
- Pros: not crowded
- Cons: attractions
