I'm not from the north, but my boyfriend is. He loves this place because it reminds him of a New York deli.
As for me...I love their breakfast!! The waiter, Roberto is very nice & loves his job. The people there are great. I recommend their cheese omelet with a blueberry bagel.
This place beats Waffle House any day! This is right around the corner from the college I attend, so it's conventient for lunch :)
- Pros: Everything!!!
- Cons: Nothing that I've noticed!!
IT WAS LIKE BEING IN NEW YORK ...AGAIN! I haven't been there in 30 years!!!

What a treat I had for lunch today. I had gone to see my favorite Dr. Horace White
for an 11 AM appt. FATE had me walk over to THE SQUARE BAGEL for lunch.
I usually go to the Mexican restaurant that is very close by to THE SQuARE BAGEL.
LUCK was with me! I had THE best pastrami and corned beef with some sliced
Provolone cheese on homemade, fresh Rye bread! The sandwich was served
with a potato pancake and applesauce, a dill pickle, a bit of cole slaw...and it
was so wonderful...I felt as if I were back in New York in a favorite Jewish Deli
I used to love to eat in.... Life hasn't been this good in several days. What a
nice surprise to find THE SQUARE BAGEL. The waiter was fast...as if he were
on roller skates and seemed sincerely pleased that I had enjoyed my lunch!
Now, that is not like New York...but everything else was!!! I may be a Southern
Belle but I love Jewish, New York Deli food!
- Pros: The BEST Jewish Deli food I have had in years!
- Cons: Can't think of one!
A taste of Long Island in Marietta
by gr8teful1 at Citysearch
Eating at the Square Bagel brings me back to Long Island where I can grab a great bagel, some excellent lox and a fantastic potato pancake. And the sandwiches are fantastic - corned beef and pastrami. As close to be back as New York as I have found since I left 12 years ago. Whenever I get the craving for a bagel and cream cheese to hot bowl of matzo ball soup I know where to go. Anyone looking for the same needs to visit the Square Bagel.
- Pros: Food and service
- Cons: Small tables
Best Bagels in Atlanta
by lundyw1 at Citysearch
The Square Bagel is hands-down the best place for breakfast & lunch in Marietta. Great chicken salad & burgers, awesome potato pancakes, and bagels that are out of this world. Way better than Goldberg's & with a lot less attitude! Get there early - they often run out of bagels!
- Pros: Best bagels & deli food in Atlanta; great service!
- Cons: You REEK of food when leaving here!
