For food, drinks and great patio Front Page news IS springtime. The patio can't be beat. The busy nights are more a bit of a hassle on the patio but the dining room inside stays reasonably quiet until around 10ish. The menu is great, but I must admit, I have so many favorites, I rarely try anything new. While my friends say the new Orleans food is the draw, I prefer the blackened chicken salad and the amazing blackened salmon salad. (I like salads, alot) Wine list is short but decent, and quite inexpensive. We usually start with Martinis and switch to the special drink list later. Perfect neighborhood joint for dinner and drinks anytime!

Pros: Great patio, Free Parking, Live music

Cons: Wait on weekends for patio, loud.

We just moved back to Atlanta and one of our first nights out we returned to Front Page. We used to go to Front Page before we moved 3 years ago and I am glad to report it is better than ever. The patio is still fun & festive and the bartenders (some old faces, some new) Seem to always pour a extra strong drink. The food is still fabulous, we had a steak and Jambalaya Like most non-tourist restaurants in new Orleans there is more than just "Cajun and Creole" food. From many years of visiting I can tell you, Steaks, burgers, and the Jazz brunch are great. There is no better place to celebrate being back.

Pros: Great patio

Cons: Can be busy on Sunday brunch.

It is a shame that this place calls itself cajun. It is the farthest thing from it.The food is well below average. \Personal examples. They dont devein there shrimp. Food far to bland to be referred to as cajun/creole At times snippy service food prepared apathetic and indifferentI give it one star for the patio where you can enjoy over priced cheap beer. AVOID

Front Page News is one of my favorite places to eat. I always go there for a meal when visiting Little 5. All the food I have tried here is great. This includes the burgers, salmon sandwich, muffelattas, and their seafood gumbo is outstanding!! (order it with a side of rice!) The only draw back is the service is not up to par some of the time (seem like they don't care about you at all), and if you sit in the wrong spot on the patio it can smell like a sewer. All in all it is a great place to sit down and chill out and have a delicious meal after walking around shopping.

Pros: awesome food, location

Cons: service

Love my Sunday morning brunch so when Front Page News was introduced as a brunch location, I took some friends July 1 to check it out. I remembered having been there before in the evening and the service was appalling. It was Saturday night so all was forgiven. Sunday Brunch was the same. The food was good but it was cold and when they ran out of Homefries, they brought me grits without informing me. I HATE grits! Service was really lame.....yet again. If Front Page News could improve on their service, as the food is quite good, it would get a higher rating. Waiting over 1 hour for brunch really takes the biscuit.

I have only been to Front page for the Sunday brunch. The crabcakes benedict and bloody mary bar are fantastic.

I think I said it all in the title of this review. We like eating at Front Page News before going to the Horizon Theater. We can arrive a little more than an hour before the show, have a great meal at reasonable prices and their great service allows us to be at the theater in time for the show (this is great during the week after work). Also, did I mention the they have free and ample parking as well -- a great benefit in the Little 5 Points area.

Pros: Parking, Outdoor Seating, Food

Cons: n/a

We've been eating there for over 5 years. We feel more comfortable there then any place in Atlanta. There just aren't many places in Atlanta where you can talk and be heard, and still enjoy great music and food. A real piece of pre-Katrina New Orleans . We love the variety, and we really like the value; the prices are reasonable. The patio is the best in town and theres tons of parking (free.)

Pros: Bread pudding, Steaks, Seafood Gumbo

Cons: Can be slow

The place to hang out on the patio for summer, all winter long we wait for the opportunity to eant FPN's Jambalaya, Gumbo burgers and pastas on the perfect patio. We like the food here but we really come for the opportunity to sit on the great patio and enjoy summer in Atlanta. Sit outside, have a great burger and relax. Perfect. Be sure to try: Ettoufee, Crescent City Chicken, Great Big Easy Burger, Wild Mushroom ravioli Be sure to Drink: Blanche Martini, Bloody Mary Bar (Weekends), Ask for Dani at the bar, she's a lot of fun!

Pros: Crawfish ettoufee, Huge parking lot, Ravioli

I had not been to Front Page in sometime, after a bad meal several years ago. I went back recently and was very suprised the food is not what it was, its much better, very exciting and the lovely crowds are still here. There now is a large menu with ton of specials, its worth trying.

Pros: New Manager, Staff & service, Improved food

Cons: Crowded brunch, No reservations

Big Easy bar in easygoing Little Five offers tasty cocktails and a serious Sunday brunch.  See the full editorial review.

Insider Tips

What to Drink

Try the "Blanche" martini, a homage to "A Streetcar Named Desire" that brims with the same saucy attitude.
