Fresh and Best
by culture99 at Citysearch
The very best in fresh, healthy Mediterranean, Middle Eastern food.
The homoos is always so fresh and smooth. I love the taste and the price. Tabboleh is a very nice portion, enough to share or if you are alone, go for the sides. wow, what a deal. A 2.50 side of fresh healthy salad with any of the sandwiches or meals.
It really is a very good price for good food, good health
I workout at the gym and then head to Olive Bistro for a healthy lunch .
I have also tried take- out and it tastes just as good on the go.
The sandwich is just right, not too small and not massive where you are getting more bread than fillings which is the case at so, so many places around , especially around Midtown and Emory. Who wants so much bread and so little fillings? I love Olive Bistro for fresh, filling, great prices , great service of high quality, made from scratch, healthy food. I love the owners, they are always around and you can tell that they are involved in everything, it is their food, not a franchise or chain, local owners that love the food and love to share it with us. I have been eating at Olive bistro for well over 10 years, and go many times a week. I feel like family and that is how they treat me and all that they break bread with, they never skimp.. Quality stuff.
- Pros: Best homoos, Gyros
- Cons: more pastries, please
LAMB IS PERFECT
by sam456 at Citysearch
FOOD IS SO GOOD, FRESH , AND THE SERVICE
IS FAST, FRIENDLY
I go five times a week and never eat the same thing, unless I want to because there is so much on the
menu.
I always have lamb, lamb on salads, lamb on pita, lamb kebob, lamb on pasta
You can build your own salad, and get what toppings you want
This is always fresh and healthy
The prices are good and you can tell that the meat and chicken are very good quality, not like those 5.99 places that must be serving meat surprise, that scares me
For just a few coins more than big Macs, you are eating fresh, healthy food and now the news is all over the mediterranean diet. I have been going here for years, so this place was well ahead of the times as they have been selling fresh, healthy in midtown for years and it always Rocks
They have 2 locations and both are great and always fresh, Midtown and Vinings
I am usually at Midtown, but when I visit the family, I go to Vinings. Great vibe at both places
Olive Bistro, you have my vote
I
- Pros: LAMB, SALADS, SERVICE
- Cons: ADDICTIVE TO THE FODD, GOTTA HAVE IT

This place has it .Local vibe, local owners, no attitude, no pretense
Love the new girl, I think she is Katy. Very friendly and helpful. I tried this early in the summer and had a great server, and went back last week and on Labor Day.Very busy on Labor day, yet Katy made it fun and took good care of me
I have eaten in and ordered to go and it is all so good, fresh, reasonable prices and just the right spice in it all. Love that falafel
I dream of homus and dipping that pita in it all
I like having it close enough to walk and it is always very clean and the servers very nice
I always end with a turkish coffee and baklava
Next time, I am trying the lamb.
You rule, Olive Bistro. I hear you have another location in Vinings, will try that when I go to the Cobb Arts center
Katy told me she will be there some
Wish you had breakfast. could use homus and bagels from you
- Pros: Homus, Falafel, Grape leaves, Baklava, Tabbouleh
- Cons: Breakfast, Please
Fresh, authentic Mediterranean flavors are a great bargain at this bustling Midtown strip-mall eatery.

In Short
A great choice for casual dinners and last-minute lunches, this tiny bistro has big potential to make your list of favorite standbys. With a sister restaurant in Vinings, the in town Ponce location skimps on decor--the interior is little more that a counter, a display case and some tables--but charms with prompt, courteous service and authentic, affordable food. The piped in music doesn't overwhelm, allowing the eclectic clientele to converse with ease. Crunchy, spicy falafel and smooth, creamy hummus topped with olive oil and paprika make excellent starters. Solid entree choices include grape leaves stuffed with a mix of citrus-scented rice, basil and pine nuts and ender lamb kebobs served with a mild white bean salad. If you're in the mood for a sandwich, try the savory grilled portabella on focaccia with pesto. For dessert, the baklava pleases with its strong cinnamon overtones.
Fresh, fresh, and fresh

I just found this place this summer when going to Border's . Popped in for a quick bite and found my new local favorite spot. I did not know they were there as I am new to the area. Did not expect such a great local type of place in the center. A better place than I have yet to find in my new neighborhood. Too many bars
or super trendy places, so that makes Olive Bistro an even better find. It is cute, friendly and very fresh, good, authentic Middle Eastern, Mediterranean food
Have tried alot of the small plates and have also taken alot to parties and everyone raves. My favs are the hummus, eggplant, grape leaves, salads, olives, tabbouleh, and chicken
I buy the grape leaves and take them home, and eat them at room temp. They have been big hits at parties Great finger food and travel well to the park events.. It is fun to take several friends and dates and share the appetizers and wine. We just discovered half off wine on Mondays.. Great savings . High prices are not at Olive Bistro. Very reasonable. I love this place.
- Pros: food, service
- Cons: gets crowded at lunch and sometimes a wait
It is the one.

Such fresh, tasty, great food, great prices, great service
The hommos is so good. Baba is smoky, not over powerful, just right. I do not know what they do to those white beans, but eat them, eat alot and eat them with the great chardonnay
I love the lamb with the greek salad..The dressing is so fresh and so light, but loaded with taste.
Dunk the lamb in the greek dressing and the cucumber sauce and then drink the merlot....
I love the very reasonable wine and food prices. Their wines are much more reasonable than most restaurants and I eat out alot. I went there tonight and had to write and next, I will ahve the chicken and rice with some pinot grigio...The wines are so cheap for Midtown...
Rockining Hummus and Lamb
by kingeats23 at Citysearch
The reviews all sounded good, except for one, which is obvious someone wants to pick a bone with John
John, don't know you dude, but rock on, cause all this food is so good.Every waiter has one bad day, so move on, people. I have now been to this place 8 times. I go 2 times a week and I have never been unhappy. Service always good, lowkey and I have been there when the place is packed and they are always warm and fuzzy. I have been with a large group and it is common practice in all places I go to add a standard tip for large group. In fact most places add more, and we appreciate not having to get out our calculators to do math. Lunch and dinner with a group is fun AND VERY EASY ON THE WALLET
I have tried the lamb, hummus, gyros, grape leaves, baklava is a must every trip for my sweet tooth and my gal pal loves the baklava, so I always get her one to eat now and two to go.. the lasagna and mousaka are both very good, as well as the pastas. Hey dude with the bone to pick with John, hummus and antipastos are supposed to be cold, and they rocked. Love the pesto..The last trip I ordered rosemary chicken and that spice is so out of this world. I had it with some kind of white beans and garlic, forget the name, but the key is the garlic and it is so perfect with chicken . I wash it all down with Stella and the world is so ok and much better off with Olive Bistro
- Pros: food, service, prices, free parking, (hate places if I have to valet, love it here free !!
- Cons: when it is packed, I have to wait for a table
Cold food, poor service and tip padding on large party ruined our experience
by rickd3298 at Citysearch
Try the Antipasto...excellent. The Hummus...very good. Nice lamb but the rest is mediocre. John, the waiter was surly and unconcerned about cold food, forgotten orders and overcharging the customer. Check your bill carefully. Those handwritten bills can hide overcharges and bill padding and the waiter is not happy to make corrections. Too bad! We went there after we read the rave reviews in this listing service. When asked for a recommendation for the Moussaka and Lasagna, the waiter candidly stated "After serving the stuff for more than six years, I really can't stand either." Great marketing, right?
- Pros: Antipasto, Hummus, Lamb, prices
- Cons: SERVICE, John, the waiter.
