great bedside manner

Dr. Young was the third doctor my son has seen at this office, and he is wonderful. My son easily grew fond of him. I immediately felt at ease with his knowledge, and felt I could trust him. He thoroughly listened to my concerns, and interacted with my son while still evaulating him. He then explained why he chose his treatment methods, and what the plan for caring for my son was. Great doctor!

Patient for 18 years-loved him!

I went to Dr. Carter from the time I was a baby until I turned 18 and no longer could see a pediatrician. My mom and I always felt he was kind, thorough, generous, helpful, and very accurate with diagnoses- especially with a child like me who had many health problems:asthma, epilepsy, the works. I tried a couple other doctors when we moved farther away when I was 13 but I was not nearly as comfortable with any of them.

Dr. Carter is the greatest!

I have used Stephen Carter for 15 years.I came to him when my oldest child was 3 and my youngest was a newborn. I had tried several pediatricians, and had been unhappy with the care I had gotten elsewhere. Dr. Carter has provided intelligent, personable care for my children and was able to diagnose and treat my oldest child after no one else had been able to figure out what was wrong with him. All the providers in the group are great, but I always see Dr. Carter if my children have anything more than a routine illness because I know he has the knowledge and experience to handle anything.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE TORTURING QUACK DOCTOR!

Stephen Carter attended our newborn at the hospital. Her bilirubin level was at a 9 and she had lost 7% of her birth weight. I've spoken to 3 pediatricians, a physicians assistant and 2 dr offices. All of them have stated factually that BOTH of these are completely normal. There was nothing wrong with our daughter. However, Stephen Carter kept us in the hospital an additional day and nearly would not let us go home the 3rd because her bilirubin level was at 10. Also normal! I have since learned that as long as the bilirubin level is under 12 on the 1st day and under 15 on the 2nd day it is PERFECTLY NORMAL, nothing dangerous. Instead, not only did Stephen Carter cause us emotional distress by telling us there was a chance of brain damage, he put my daughter through TORTURE by requiring she be undressed under bilirubin lights all night through which I might add she screamed incessantly because it was cold in the room, would not get warmer & she did not like the mitt over her eyes. Then to top it off, Stephen Carter required we take another bilirubin test and we are being charged for the full amount of this because the insurance company says it was not required BECAUSE SHE WAS NOT IN DANGER and thus did not need the test. Stephen Carter should not be a pediatrician if he does not know his trade. We can?t afford the $400+ additional fees that Stephen Carter has caused us to have to pay because he is a QUACK. Oh yes, and the 7% birth weight loss he was freaked out about? The hospital paperwork states right on it that up to 10% loss is NORMAL. Stephen Carter should not practice medicine if he thinks NORMAL is dangerous and worth freaking parents out about and making them pay for unnecessary tests. In addition to this, I then get a bill for his practicing this quack medicine on my daughter. HIS LICENSE SHOULD BE REVOKED. Bilirubin tests are another form of torture, by the way! He is a child torturer!

Stephen Carter QUACK. We lost $400 because he is the only pediatrician that thinks normal is dangerous!

Best Pediatrician Group ever!

I have two children that have enjoyed these doctors their entire lives. My son is 17 and my daughter is 11. These are great people! We originally chose this group because of their proximity to our home in West Cobb. For the last 18 months we have resided in East Cobb, well over 45 minutes from their offices and yet we continue to drive to their location to get care for our children. While we know there are great providers closer to our home, moving away from this group is just a big challenge as we have had nothing but great care and compassion every time we have gone.

My children have been seeing Dr. Young since they were born. He is the most wonderful, sweet, kind,caring doctor I have ever met. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone!

great place for children's checkups

My son and I fell in love with this doctor's office. The staff was so freindly and helpful. The office was pleasently decorated to ease children's fears of the visit. I couldn't have made a better choice.

Very Good Doctors, Great with Children

I like this office very well. They are great with babies. Very little waiting. I recommend any one to take their children there.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!!!!!!

I started with this office 6 years ago when I moved to Georgia. (Recommended by my sister!) Everyone in the office has been wonderful. My children love it there. Unfortunately my insurance has changed my daughters now go somewhere else. The experience is not the same! It does not even compare. Maybe they had us so spoiled that we can't accept anyone else! Either way we miss them tremendously!
