A good time
by Gemini82 at Citysearch
I love Henry's ! The food is outstanding , always is . Henry lets you know he appreciates your business by walking around and talking to customers. Henry was even out serving people in the cold at the taste of Acworth (food was great then too ). This is for sure one of my favorite local places to eat at .
- Pros: Delicious
- Cons: like any downtown area, limited parking
Great food, good service

Henry's is great! Try the Louisiana Ooh La La, it is absolutely incredible. Definitely worth a drive if you don't live in Acworth.
- Pros: The food is great!
- Cons: It can be a little noisy, but, have you ever eaten in New Orleans?
Great Food - Great Atmosphere

I absolutely love the food. My husband loves the Ooh La La - I love it all. They have some wonderful specials. You have to get there early or you will definitley have a wait - but it is well worth it. I have visited a lot of cajun restaraunts, but this is by far the best ever! The staff is very accomadating and the chef is always there to make sure that you are satisfied with your service and food. It takes a true cajun to have a succesful cajun restaraunt and we have found the perfect place!
- Pros: Great Food! Surrounded by Great Shopping
- Cons: Make reservations or get there early

I can't say enough about how good the food was. I've already recommend this place to 5 people and I only ate there last night.
- Cons: I understand reservations are a must on a weekend night
Great food - fun atmosphere

We went on a Saturday night. I highly recommend reservations as even with a reservation, we were seated 30 minutes after arriving; however, while waiting for a table, we ordered drinks from the bar. The bartender was very friendly and the service was quick. Lots of LSU fans at the bar and everyone seemed to be having a great time. While waiting, Chef Henry also came out and greeted guests and checked on the service out front.
Our server was Britney. Although my husband gave her a bit of a hard time, she was great. The service was quick and friendly without hovering. We started dinner out with the Hot Chili ?Gator. I?ve had fried alligator before, but it was chewy so I wasn?t looking forward to the gator at Henry?s. I was pleasantly surprised. The strips were very tender and the sauce was great. My husband thought it was a bit too salty, but I think they were perfect. It had just the right blend of sauce and heat. We also tried another appetizer, but for the life of me I cannot remember what it was?.
My friend ordered the gumbo and wasn?t too impressed. We also ordered the Caesar salads which were citrusy, but pretty much lacking in any other flavor.
For dinner, we tried the Louisiana Ooh La La with both crawfish and shrimp. The sauce was a thick cream base served over angel hair pasta. Although the taste of the sauce was amazing, it didn?t pair well with the angel hair. The angel hair seemed to soak up the sauce and turn into a congealed mass. It would?ve been much better over a linguini or fettuccine noodle ? something that can hold up to a cream sauce.
We also had the blackened filet mignon that was on special that night. It was served with a mushroom bourbon sauce reduction and mashed potatoes. The filet was done to perfection. It was one of the best steaks I?ve ever had. The sauce was perfection and didn?t overpower the meat. Even the potatoes were wonderful. I would definitely order it again.
We?ll go back ? definitely.
- Pros: service and the food are both great
- Cons: some of the signature drinks are too sweet, but still tasty...
Henry's of Acworth

Henry's may not beat a "real" cajun restaurant from Louisiana but it's pretty darn good. Monday nights are your best bet for prompt seating. Get there before 6PM or after 9PM. It gets crowded in between. Personally, I think the food could use more spice to kick it up a notch.
Henry's is an Acworth Favorite!!!!

It couldn't get any better if you were in the French Quarter in New Orleans. Henry's is the best! Great Food, Cool bar, fun atmosphere with friends and family.
- Pros: Great Food, Great Atmosphere, Specialty Drinks
- Cons: Very Fattening!!, Not for the Dieters, Long Wait/ Call ahead
Finally! An authentic Louisiana restaurant

We tried Henry's at the recommendation of friends (several in fact) and were very pleased. My husband is from Lafayette and this is the first place he found 'like home'. They have a kid's menu with coloring contest to keep them entertained and a lively atmosphere that complements the great service But best of all was the excellent food! We tried the gumbo, etoufee & ooh la la. We met Chef Henry and found him to be very friendly and knowledgeable. We made reservations and it was crowded so this is recommended. A must try it kind of place!
- Pros: great food, full bar, kid's menu
- Cons: too loud for some, make reservation
It doesnt get better then this

This place is upbeat and lively. Great prompt service and amazing food. Hands down the best place for cajun in the entire city. Makes you feel like your in New Orleans. Try the crawfish!
