I took my son and his friend the see Night at the Museum today. The theater was not as I expected. The upholstery on the seats were torn. My son asked the waitress when he placed his order when the food would be ready. She told him it will be ready when it gets ready. Later, she dropped a tray of leftover food on me and the boy in the seat next to me. Then, about 10 minutes later, she dropped another tray of food at the back of the theater where I think she was dumping leftover food in the trash. The theater is not that easy to find. The address says Peachtree Road but is behind a building that is on Peachtree Road. You park in the parking deck and walk down steps to get to the theater so allow extra time.
Pros: There are a lot of different kinds of foods on the menu.
Cons: It did not seem clean. It was dark even before the previews started.

The Buckhead Backlot is a special place. Don't go to expecting to have the same experience as a normal movie theater. There's no stadium seating, you sit in big chairs, at tables. You go to the backlot because you can get reasonably priced beer by the pitcher, and drink it during the movie. As such, people take advantage of that and sometimes get rowdy. If its opening night of a popular movie, expect it to be packed and expect to get there early if you want a seat, as the isn't anywhere near as much seating as a normal theater. People yell and shout and laugh and clap at the screen, waiters are walking around taking orders and serving food. I would compare it more to a drive-in movie in terms of atmosphere, though since it is still inside in a theater it still has that feel to it as well. If you want to go see a funny movie with friends and get drunk and eat chicken fingers and just have a good time, go to the backlot. If you want to seriously watch a movie, go to a normal movie theater.
Pros: Beer by the pitcher, decently priced food, wine
Cons: Limited seating, limited movies, limited times

I have been to the theatre several times and I agree that they need more waitress's during the beginning of the movie and during the movie maybe less, just to check on the customers I have never once been asked once I recieved my order if I need anything else. The food is okay but what do expect for a two hour event and it comes pretty quickly. My thing is what is the point of buying tickets in advance they do not block an area for pre-brought tickets so what's the point. But if you want to eat and watch a movie and have a glass of wine or beer go there.

I agree that the service is questionable on some occasions, but it's like any other business. It depends on the people that are working there at the time and thier workload. You will definitely NEED to get there at least 30-45 minutes early, especially if it's a popular movie or you will be forced to sit in the"not so comfortable" seats. As with any other type of bussiness, you have to expect service to be slow on a night where they have all the theatres packed, and plan accordingly. I love the grilled burgers. There are not a lot of places in Atlanta where you can watch a movie and have dinner and beer at the same time. Overall, I have a very good time whenever I go. I have learned to expect some short comings, as with everything in this world, but I will continue to go.
Pros: Free parking, Food and beer, Current movies
Cons: Ocassional slow servi, Outside ticket booth

The concept is great, have dinner while you watch the movie. The execution is not. Arrive 30 minutes early. "They aren't supposed to save seats, but we can't intervene. Then whats the point of having a rule. Several kids saving 4-5 seats that were never occupied the entire movie. Finally find 4 seats together, wait 30 minutes into the movie for a waitress to greet you (movie was packed full, only 2 waitresses for the entire theater of 138 patrons), order, wait another 45 minutes for mediocre food, order dessert up front, never receive it, get charged for it, have to request it to be removed, finally get final bill 10 minutes after movie over. I found it a total waste of time and expense and will not go there again, as this is the third time this EXACT scenario has happened.
Pros: dinner, cushy chairs, free parking
Cons: mediocre food, bad service, ineffective mgmt
