Great Hotel BUT.....

It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Luxury beds and deluxe amenities help business folks and families sleep well at this comfortable mid-level chain.

The Hidden Restaurant Gem....Savannah!

I was traveling with a friend of mine, and they had to do more meetings than I did. So I was primarily by myself, and at the hotel most of my trip. Thank god for the superb service that I received from the people working at the restaurant Savannah. The supervisor there, Diana, and a server named Hazel took such great care of me while I was visiting there. I really did feel like I was a guest at their home, and they made me laugh continuously. BUT THE SHOCKER WAS...how FANTASTIC the food is at the restaurant inside of this Hotel. I ordered Black eyed Pea soup and it was the best black eyed pea soup I have ever had at any restaurant. I immediately reached for some pepper, but something in my gut (literally) told me to taste it first, and thank God I did, because it had so much spice, and flavor it sent me to the roof. I almost wanted to order another cup. Then my main course comes to the table, I order the filet with mashed potatoes, and green beans. I almost tried to substitute the potatoes for salad, because I pride myself on my figure. But again I would have messed up a masterpiece meal. The potatoes had such great flavor and my steak was cooked perfectly. I recently had dinner at the Penninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills, the Belvedere, and Savannah blew its socks off.

And don't even get me started on that beautiful, banana, sin cake they serve there....I wanted to immediately go work out after this meal, and come back for seconds. The Head Chef name is David, and he is a fabulous chef, and person.

If you are looking for entertainment after your dinner, well don't travel to far, just make a visit to guest services, and you will meet Dexter. Dexter has a natural story telling capability where you are not sure if he is just making a story up, or if it really happened, and watching people burst out in laughter every 10-15 seconds was truly amazing.

Not what was advertised

I had booked a 2 room, smoking excutive suite. Got there and find out they do not have suites, as listed on their website. Was given a non-smoking room, was not given my cookies upon arrvail. With the excutive suite you are suppose to get free cocktails and breakfast. I had to fight with the person working the front desk to get these. Overall I was not impressed with this Doubletree. The description on their website was not accurate.

Great Beds

The Doubletree in Buckhead was very nice. I travel to the Atlanta market every other week. I spend my nights here. The hotel is pretty and the beds are very comfortable. I like the fresh cookie touch.

Good Digs for Business Travel

This chain of hotels offers comfort and good service for a good price. Rooms are large but not luxurious. For the money however they are a good bet
