The property's original owner, Godfrey Barnsley, lends his name to this secluded, historic resort property. Both the gardens and Manor House have been meticulously restored to their former glory. This is a perfect venue for indoor and outdoor weddings and business retreats.

The Details
Cottages and guest rooms offer a blend of old and new, beginning with front porches adorned with rocking chairs and amenities such as satellite TV and data ports. Fireplaces, Egyptian linens and ball and claw tubs highlight the stylish surroundings. Dining here includes classic Southern fare at Rice House and steak at Woodlands. The Bavarian Beer Garden serves imported German beers, pretzels and bratwurst cooked over an open fire pit. The General Golf Course is a recent addition with immaculate Par 3 greens.
