Lost and Found owner Jamie Rosenthal has impeccable taste in all things. Among the four little storefronts that collectively make up her very cool business, Jamie's clothing choices, both for adults and children, include a range of items that have a sort of modern bohemian couture sensibiltity, yet are consistently elegant, sophisticated and sometimes even simple, in the best sense of the word. Her home furnishings are unique, colorful, whimsical, and always stunning. Look through things carefully to find something for every aesthetic; from straight up modern to ethnic-inspired or tribal interiors, every design freak is sure to find that one item that seals the deal. Everything I have ever purchased from Lost and Found has become a staple of my wardrobe or a centerpeice of my home. Some items are expensive; Jamie chooses good things -- but how many of us will save up and then rush to the west side to buy the same item, thinking paying for it there makes it somehow more special? Please folks, support local entrepeneurs and neighborhood businesses, by shopping at places like Lost and Found, whose presence on and commitment to the east side is a real contribution to community development and neighborhood revitalization. And to boot, often on her own dime, Jamie Rosenthal will open up one of her storefronts to host an exhibition for some small, struggling nonprofit arts organization or local artist whose work and/or programs she believes in. Is Fred Segal or DWR gonna do that? Keep it in the 'hood people. Lost and Found is a beautiful, fun and surprising alternative to more mainstream stores and boutiques.

Pros: Beautiful, hard-to-find-things. Knowledgable staff. Owner has strong commitment to community.

Cons: Some items may be expensive for the average shopper. Parking cops are brutal!
