Worth the Drive
by mstampley_citysearch at Citysearch
Once in awhile, it's worth making the drive north to bag some pretty impressive bargains. Even better if you hit the outlets on the way back from a trip to the mountains. From clothes to furniture, there's a little bit of everything. Stock up on seasonal essentials or bag some great gifts. Sure, the crowds can be annoying, but where else can you take home a Pottery Barn rug for $130?
- Pros: good deals
- Cons: far away

Great Outlet

My favorite store is the Coach Store. I am like a little kid in a toy store it has the best price on all the latest styles but I guess you would just have to be a bag person like I am to appreciate the prices. Although I hate the drive once I am there is really worth it.
- Pros: You cannot beat these prices
- Cons: Although I hate the drive
My quarterly shopping fix!
by enchantingeyes at Citysearch
I love North Georgia Premium Outlets, its the best way for me to indulge in my favorite brands at a price that doesn't make me feel guilty. My must visit stores are BCBG Max Azria, Burberry, Polo Factory Outlet and Calvin Klein. The Cosmetics Store is great too, but for some reason, I am unable to find my favorites there.
I always print out the coupons from their website and stop by the food court to get their coupon book. Often you can find great deals. I would say on average I save 50-65% off retail prices, which makes it worth the drive.
I love the Ruby Tuesday's that is nearby. And I always find great everyday, casual finds at the Gap and Banana Republic store. A trip to the Premium Outlets always leaves me smiling.
The only thing I dislike is all the stores are outdoors and that the stores are divided in to rows which doesn't make shopping cohesive. Make sure to wear sunscreen and stay hydrated!
- Pros: Good designer stores and brands, decent prices when you can catch a sale!
- Cons: Everything is outdoors and spread apart!
The Drive is Worth the Shopping and Claen Air...
by davidhgay at Citysearch
After about an hour drive OTP you can really enjoy some shopping that is also good for the soul. GREAT stores and the layout with each avenue and the outside atrium is a refreshing change from conventional malls. I enjoy the clean air and sunshine while waiting outside of the Ladies Shops and Shoe stores. The local dining and shopping makes the trip a nice "getaway" from ATL. Take the time and enjoy the drive... A unique shopping experience!
- Pros: Great Outdoor mall
- Cons: Long Drive but this is also a PRO!
Long Drive! Great Prices! Harry and David!
by jaymaygm at Citysearch
It's a long drive up to this outlet center, but well worth it. All the famous mall reatailers are here-Polo, Timberland, Cole-Hahn, Kenneth Cole, and any of your olther favorites. Usually it's special promotion styles, but very good prices. We really like going to Harry and David, the gourmet item-fresh fruit shipper. Always have to buy something here.
- Pros: Great Store Variety-Prices! Harry and David!
- Cons: Long Drive!
Where bargain hunters go to find brand-name labels for half price.

In Short
Like a small city unto itself, this sprawling outdoor mall located 45 minutes north of Atlanta boasts more than 140 outlet stores, including Off 5th, Williams-Sonoma, BCBG, Banana Republic, Coach, Polo Ralph Lauren and Crate and Barrel. As with most of the outlet malls, inventory can be hit-and-miss.

Premium Outlets are the best!
by ems122 at Citysearch
I live only about 15 min from them, so of course I prefer to shop there over Northpoint Mall or Perimeter (except for Nordy's) :)
You can always find something at the outlets for yourself and for gifts but you have to be willing to put the time and effort in once you get there!
- Pros: many choices, inexpensive
- Cons: very large-can get ti
