noche night out....
by lawrencevillemom
Wonderful atmosphere, great looking crowd, good drinks, and delicious food...
We spent about 4 hours at the new Vinings location, has a fireplace in center and great outside seating.
Would go back.
- Pros: cheap drinks, cozy atmosphere
Worst meal of all time
by campbsr
$10 monday meal is far and away the worst meal I've ever approached. Compatriots' reviews were varied but consistent:
"This is McDonald's quality food without the taste."
Diner 1: "They are clearly using leftovers from the weekend.
Diner 2: I'm certain that the leftovers' came from the waiters' personal themselves."
For god's sake, we were served Penne pasta with texas chili. Really, that's what spanish tapas are about? What's surprising is that this course was actually more authentic than the first course which was weak-old iceberg with a dash of some gelatinous foul dressing.
The tragic food somehow exceeded the service which was plagued with indifference, apathy, and self-hatred. The only logical explanation for the waiters' detached dreariness is that they are forced to sample the food which they serve.
The dinner was an abomination of every sort. I'm embarrassed to have darkened the door of this establishment with zero self-respect. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to Noche, where you constantly wonder if you're on candid camera.
- Pros: Absolutely nothing
- Cons: Terrible food, terrible service
Amazing Dining Experience
by deevah678
Noche has become one of my top favorites and has converted me into a true Tapas fan. The tapas are generous, incredible, yet affordable. The $8.00 marinated skirt steak tapas plate is affordable, plentiful, and to die for. The mini lamb gyros will melt in your mouth. The $9 lobster tail tapas plate was also amazing...yes $9 for lobster tail! The ambiance is very cool Virginia-Highlands style with hardwood floors and an artsy vibe. Our waiter Michael was simply amazing. He was there at every turn to pour wine for us and make excellent suggestions. I love that they offer $12-$14 glasses of wine for $7.00 on special. I highly recommend Noche.
- Pros: Amazing service, Stellar food, Great wine choices
- Cons: Parking can be tricky at times
good food at a great price
by glasspro
after a day of skydiving I had all intentions of visiting Highland Tap but was extremely pleased to dine at NOCHE.The waiter was very gracious and patient. The food was so awesome my girlfriend and I made a return trip and was so pleased at a obvious desire to duplicate each experience...which i must add again as awesome.Thank you for great food .I am in the service industry and YOU guys(NOCHE) should not pay attention to so many spoiled pretentious jerks who never have anything good to say.I will continue to spend my 80 bucks with u every time i can.Thank u
- Pros: great food at a great price
- Cons: not enough stomach space
OK in ViHi
by FifthGrouper
Had drinks and some tapas here last night with my favorite Turkish and Irish girls, Zeynep and Nicole. I haven't been in the space since it was The Dessert Place - anyone remember that?
I've always been a big fan of small plates that a table of friends can share, so kudos that.
Anyway, we had:
Fresh Mozzarella & Tomatoes - tasty, I would order again
Chicken Quesadilla - my pick; probably the best of the bunch
Lobster Taco - sounded good, but the lobster didn't taste like lobster I'm used to; I probably wouldn't order this one again
Grilled Shrimp - didn't try this one, but the girls loved it.
Grilled Skirt Steak - really enjoyed this, especially the crispy tobassco onions that come with it (why does everything that's fried simply taste better?)
Grilled Chicken & Vegetable Skewer - this was just OK; grilled veggies on a stick is hard pressed to make you go "WOW!"
Once I got passed the 50 something couple making out next to us all night long (Seriously! I mean, really? Is it necessary to let the whole place know that you've got a pocket full of Viagra? Gross.), it was good. I would go back but, honestly, with La Tavola just two doors down, it probably won't be for a while.
- Pros: cheap
- Cons: quality of crowd
Good Food -- HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT
by Leigh1981
I see someone mentioned "rude waitresses" .. well has anyone asked to see the manager due to something a waitress did or said? Well we did during our last visit on their $10 Tapas night.
The waitress told us not to share our tapas with our other guests (my parents) when in fact I only gave my mother one bite of my food!
During our dinner I never once asked for more "all you can eat $10 tapas" and my parents did not even participate in the $10 tapas and they both spent over $60 on their tab for dinner!
When our waitress told us not to share, my father asked to see the manager.
I don't know who this woman was BUT SHE was NOT management material! I am shocked Noche has that woman even representing their restaurant!
She was beyond rude and was verbally arguing with us while we were just trying to explain how we were taken aback by what the waitress said.
When my father tried to stop the arguing she cut him off and abruptly stormed off!
I loved Noche before this incident but after that I will NEVER step foot in that restaurant again! That was a waste of $50 my boyfriend & I spent and definitely a waste of $60+ my parents spent! (note my parents don't even live in Atlanta- they traveled out of their way to have dinner with us and that is what they had to experience!)
With that said -- SAVE YOUR MONEY and TRY one of the other great restaurants in the area such as Fontaines or Highland Tap or Murphys. Or for gods sake go to Taco Mac! You will have better service and better management! AND definitely better food!
Monday $10 all-you-can-eat tapas is a great deal. They cook up something special
by qutegirl
I have to say that this was a great surprise. We had no problem getting seated, which is unusual. The food was great and with a few brews, we were out of there with full tummies, great conversationas, and a check that was less than $40. Ask about their group discount card, it gives you another 10% off!!!

Service is great in the restaurant though the bartenders are a bunch of idiots. Be it from alcohol or stupidity, you will not receive good service at the bar. Food is mediocre but quick.
- Pros: Slow incompetent bartenders. Three bartenders for a bar that seats twenty. That says something.
- Cons: Good servers.
Hostess
by lirica123
I've read lots of reviews, and noticed that the ongoing theme is an xtremely rude hostess. I've been coming regularly for the past year (all you can eat Mondays for $10!) and haven't experienced any rudeness at all in recent months. There WAS a really rude hostess before who gave us an attitude all the time, but the new one (younger girl) always treats us well. She remembers us every time we come in and gives us the table we want. I probably committed a "sin" myself when asking for an outside table and changing to inside - we had a party of 6 or 7! But she didn't get mad or hassle us - she smiled and changed our table immediately.
Its always been my favorite place on the weekends for the drinks and fun. The food is yummy and tasty and I'll be coming back week after week.

- Pros: Hostess, $5 Margaritas
- Cons: Spaces can get small
bad hostess
by mariadenise
I was reading the reviews and saw the reviews about the rude hostess. And, I thought I would coment as well. My daughter and I were there on mother's Day. And, the hostess seemed really annoyed and rude. I thought maybe she was just having a bad day. But, I met a group of my girlfriends there another time & it was the same attitude. And, you are exactly right, why put up with that? There are too many good restaurants in Atlanta to go to. And, it is too bad, because the food is good @ Noche too.
- Pros: Food and decor
- Cons: bad hostess & so so servers
