Unprofessional staff

I would not recommend this property to anyone, solely because of the office staff. If you have any dealings whatsoever with this property, make sure you get it in writing and document everything. They will tell you something, then later say they never said it and ask you to provide proof. They are indifferent, incompetent and unprofessional at best - dishonest and shady at worst. Forget talking to them on the phone because they don't bother to return phone calls. Their upper management seems to support their unprofessional behavior, because they don't return phone calls when you try to lodge a complaint. I've had great experiences with other Colonial Properties in the past, but would not recommend this property under any circumstances.

I live at the wonderful Colonial Grand at Huntcliff !! ...

NOTE:

* power for all the apartments is at my will unlocked etc ! ( I reported this about 2 years ago )

* cable is all open wide can you say FREE CABLE ? ( I reported this about 2 years ago )

* insulation you see is pose to be on out beedroom wall so we are a little cold at night ( this photo was taken about a week after I reported the missing insulation )

Took my cheap GPS that I put custom image on startup with so when you turn the thing on you see....:

• Pros: Cheap and good locatoin
• Cons: management was bad t years before we got here not any better

Needs improvement

This is not a place that I will be staying in. The staff is very nonchalant about things and makes no effort to provide important information. The gate arm has been broken for awhile making it possible for people to come in whether they live there or not - they have only to follow the car ahead of them because there is no arm to stop them. The grounds could be kept neater including the hallways around the apartments. Loud music is often played without consequence. This is not a place that I would recommend.

Management is worst in behavior and action

Hi,

I stayed here for 2 years from 2006 March to 2008 Feb. The management changed at the end of 2007 and continuing with their worst behavior and negligence. Especially the assistant manager's (Venessa) ignorance about your matters will dishearten you and make you feel dejected all the time. They are sometime liar too. If you call them and report any problem, make sure you get something in writing. They have a nexus with their Water company (AUM) in making people fool. I used to get exorbitant water-bill like $140 - $150 for 2 bedrooms apt. and finally discovered a leakage in one of my toilet. I kept on reporting the issue to the office. Instead of fixing it, they just lied that, they didn't get any such report. The water company AUM also came out really cunning by saying that if management doesn't report such issues they will not know this. So be careful to rent an apartment here just by look-n-feel. You will end up sucked by the people of lease office.

While leaving the apartment I went to pay my final amount of rent along with water bill and the assistant manager told me an amount saying that the water company adjusted the bill. I paid the amount with a peace that at least something positive happened. Actually it was not, it's even more worst that now I am getting letters from their collection company, threatening me to pay some unknown bill. They don't even have a courtesy to call or email a long ?time resident to clarify any doubt or misunderstanding.

They are really inhumane.

Avoid this place

This apartment complex used to be nice until they started letting the most disgusting people known to mankind move in here. If you like minorities who have no respect for the property, beat-up cars, a garbage receptacle that is in plain sight once you drive in, people that drive by between 3-4 a.m. with their rap music blaring and drunk people yelling out in the parking lot at all hours of the morning, then this is the place for you. Electric bills are high during summer and winter because a/c units are not energy-efficient. Water bill is higher than what people who live in a house pay due to miscellaneous fees. Gate at entrance is broken a lot. Good luck getting all of your mail delivered properly, too. A lot of decent, hard-working people are moving out of this place due to the above things mentioned. My neighbor and I cannot wait until our leases are up. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere to live.
